It's true that Bandai's listing is almost 100% accurate. However, it was mentioned on the description text that included is some part 'reproducing of the gunpod when it's removed'. And this is just based on what it's being translated too. And here's the actual line where it was mentioned in nihonggo: ガンポッドの取り出し時を再現するためのパーツが付属。If anyone can translate that better than google or Tamashii's own translation tab in the bottom right corner, please verify the part included. And no, there's no need for any swappable canopy/heatshield parts since the nosecone area slides back under the chest where the canopy will be resting behind that gray part on the chest. Same with the previous Evolution Toy VF-2SS. Right now, it's still early to speculate on how's and the why's regarding this figure. Only thing they showed us is photo and release date. For sure, more info will coming up once they put this beautiful figure on their Hi-Metal R Special Web Page.
  3. I'm assuming too that you misread what I wrote where I got it from.
  4. Ofcourse we will! VF-1's is the only business for Arcadia. Period.
  5. Now I'm curious as to what everyone will say about this weathered version? Does it look like it's being Photoshopped?
  6. Hey Acemillion. Try to PM @jenius regarding this since he reviewed most of the Toynami releases. Maybe he knows what size.
  7. Curious. How big is the 1/35 Legioss against a 1/60 VF-1 side-by-side?
  8. No worries. You're welcome sir!

You lose. It's the 1% that's going to make you buy this one. And not the 99% of avoiding it. You can bet that Evolution Toys will go back to their drawing board once Bandai releases this so that they can reverse-engineer it and slap a 'Renewal/ver.2' on their 1/60 release and charge us Y38000 again. We hate you now for checking on this thread, Duymon. That means we have another contestant for PO night. From the looks of it, those tabs is somehow good enough since this is just a small toy. Bandai's tabs looks wider and bigger for a 1/100 figure compared to the Evolution's 1/60 figure. Gorgeous, right? I'm no HM-R collector, but I'm really really going to nab one of this. Yup, me too. Hoping for two. But if I can actually nab one during PO madness, I'll be happy. Looking forward to see you on PO night, Mr. Cheng! Oh, you can really bet Evolution Toys will do another round of this one after Bandai's release. IIRC, there was no indication that the gunpod can be attached in Fighter mode based on lineart.
  10. I agree. But I don't think of this as hideous. Let's not forget that this was being 'mass-produced' so they're following some procedural methods of doing it. Once they deviate from that same procedural method it only means one thing - the price of this one from producing it will cost more back then so basically you will pay more.
  11. Great photos! I'm on the classic default theme so I didn't notice there was a text above the link. Sorry, old guy here. I just like the white background minimalist look. I added background color to see what it says.
  12. Welcome to the boards! For quick questions and such, please use TOYS FAQ thread. As for the battery question, hope Jenius can answer you that one since he reviewed Toynami Masterpiece VF-1 toys on his website. Good luck!
  13. Um, Claudia's Pineapple Salad?
  14. Great review, tekering. I used to have those kits back in the day too. 1984 to be exact. But ofcourse, it all end up in the trash can. I mean, what do you expect from a 9 year old boy back then, right? Think about the future for toy investing? Hehehe. But yeah, that one has a great Armo-Fighter profile. Wish some company will create a 'perfect' one. Though I'm still looking forward seeing reviews for the Evolution Toys.
  15. Great hauls, everyone! My second DX Draken arrived safely today courtesy of sil80jdm. Thank you sir!

One thing for sure, and members here will surely agree, that underside is better than this... This one is much better looking even if it still says 'The picture is for illustrative purposes only'. Here's the lineart for comparison.

Let's paint this thread, shall we?
  18. Looks like Arcadia hit a homerun with that release. But come to think about it, how many were produced for it to have a great demand after release? Great job, Arcadia! Now they have budget to re-release another VF-1.
