It's safe to assume by Tuesday since you bought the item Friday morning which is already Saturday there. Processed by Monday and have them sort it and pack it. Yeah, Tuesday probably. I'm just like you before, trying to estimate days. So I decided if I'm going to buy something from them esp if the item is available, purchase it Thursday here so that they can send it by Friday there. And receive it Wednesday/Thursday here.

170 euros that's around $200. Sad to say, I won't be able to choose that even if I wanted to save money. If something happens, I will be compensated not even half of the total amount.

Wait. What?! You haven't PO'ed since last night?

This is true for people who's just starting collecting Macross Kanzen Henkei figures.

I give them 48 hours after they receive the payment and confirmed it. But if you just paid yesterday (US time), then they might ship it on Monday since it's Saturday there now. I don't think they're open during Saturday.

I think the safe answer for this is that they're being careful now compared during the Yamato days. Like you said, Yamato over saturated the market. And look what happened to Yamato after that. And like Mr.K told his blog before that there's some figures that he wants to go back to but if the big bosses says no, then he's not going to do it. And to think that there's a lot out there from Yamato era and still those are going up. And Arcadia still pulls this stunt of selling everything high price and still sells in the next couple of months upon release. It's a wonder that Yamato collectors still buys Arcadia products even though it's the same thing over and over. Even me. I guess what they're doing is just do it slowly. See what people want the most and then release it. But at the end of the day, all of this are just assumptions and speculations. There's no real answer out there unless we meet someone who works there and tell us the whole deal. True. It really helps to spark interest. I forgot about that YF-19 reissue last year. But it still sold out. I really think that they really produce in limited quantities.

That's nice. Maybe you can shed some light on this topic regarding IP. Maybe you can add more info in there regarding IP stuff.

No worries there sir! I know you're just excited with this toy for sure. Would it be nice if they include that bazooka with Ley's release. It's nice if this line succeed for them to create the original anime look in that same scale? As for the gauntlets/arm armor thingy, let's hope those missile rack is removable as an option.

Probably like this. Since that new design is based on this. This is Ley's. This is Stick's. Though they follow Stick's colors to red compared to the back cover art.

As long that Robotech finds it reasonable, then it's all good. Kidding aside, and to be honest, I have less knowledge on IP topics let alone issues with Robotech esp Mospeada is also part of their universe. There's some threads here and there that discusess this kind of topic. i think it would be best to ask that there.

You're welcome sir! And to be honest, I really wish I have some answer to that or I know why. But I think most of us here doesn't know the how's and why's. We are all in limbo. I mean, take also a good look at Evolution Toy for producing the the absurd VF-2SS. I mean the list price of Silvie's is around Y26000+ and that's without the SAP yet. And look how horrible it is. I'm sure some of the factors here are the licensing fees, rights to produce it, the production cost, etc. Which it has been discussed from time to time. But in the end, the only way to know the truth is if we have someone who works directly with these companies. But since we don't, it's really a question of do we really need to buy it if it's expensive or not. But one thing for sure, it's just nice knowing that there's companies out there who's willing to invest on this since we don't see Garland toys everyday, right?

Thanks for this Convectuoso. I'm not familiar with this Toynami Masterpiece. But is this more in-scale somehow with Arcadia's VF-1? Thanks.

Cool! Looking forward to that. But if you do, are you going to use the new 'grilled' base mat? I somehow still like this reflection. And if it's not too much to ask since you're going to use their Winter Gloves, do a shot with all of them together in their 'signature' Battroid pose: -

True. I'm ignoring some items for preorder. I just ignored MB Mazinger Z. Imagine next year's April...

Ouch. It really hurts seeing how much those two going on back in the day when I haven't started collecting again. I paid $250 for Ley and $280 for Stick back in 2014-15(?). Actually, I'm thinking of selling some doubles as of this moment. And rethinking if I really need two of these knowing that they will put out Ley's soon.

Well, TBH, we've only seen Stick's on this variant since this is more of Aramaki's reimagining of the Ride Armor. And the other one is Ley. And because those two artworks exist in the Mospeada Book. We're not sure yet if they will make Fuke's or Yellow's in this format. Hope they do. If not, hope they do the anime version one if they're planning on completing it. If you're unsure, you can just sell it down the line.

Former Yamato. If you want to read Mr.K's blog post on why the price increases, here's some existing threads: http://www.macrossworld.com/why-are-arcadia-products-so-expensive-by-mr-k/

You're welcome sir! Glad to be of help. I used BBTS before with my Hot Toys stuff. And what I like with them is they offer great customer service. You will know that you will be taken good care of since they're US-based. And they send replacement if your item is broken or missing some items. Hence, the premium price they offer. As with HLJ, they're the next best thing when it comes to customer service. Another piece of advice that I forgot to include on my response earlier is that, I know the shipping cost really adds up to our spending esp if you're just on the right budget. But consider that when you buy something expensive, make sure you use the best method out there that covers insurance too if anything should happen in-transit. EMS covers atleast Y20000. So if you bought something more than that, you're Y20000 covered. However, Nippon-Yasan claimed on their FAQ that you'll get the same total of the purchased item. Which I think it's better. But so you know, I still haven't received my Y6000 compensation for lost Registered SAL package from them. And that's almost 3 months now. In the end, buying something outside the US is always a gamble. And it's why I always preach to be patience all the time.

Nippon-Yasan has a virtual shipping calculator on the right side when you add the item in the cart. The shipping price you see here is the Registered SAL. So you need to click the Calculator button to check how much shipping is going to cost. On CDJapan, under the Add to Cart button, there's a shipping charge calculator too. And if you try to add the items in the cart, you can still check an shipping estimate if you view the cart. Just a piece of advice. These prices are not accurate since they don't know what's the actual size of the packages. So it's all estimating. With Nippon-Yasan, don't ever think that after you select the shipping method once you place the preorder they will lower the price down the road if the shipping is lower since it's higher when they estimate it. They're not gonna do that and they never will. However, Nippon-Yasan tends to ask from time to time additional shipping cost if the package is bigger than they anticipate it. That's why with HLJ, you don't see the shipping cost since they don't know how big or small the package is. But once the item is available, they will include how much the shipping cost will be since it's already been measured by them. Like what I posted a few post, CDJapan estimate the shipping around Y2900. Whereas Nippon-Yasan estimate it at Y4500. These are both EMS Shipping going to USA. CDJapan listed the item for Y19000. While Nippon-Yasan listed for Y17980. Now knowing whose between these shops has a great customer service is a whole different story. Hope that helps.

What's funny too is that HLJ does not carry Tamashii Web Exclusive items. Why wait for a thousand years in the sand when you can sell them now at MSRP. I haven't done any fixing on mine but I kind of figure out what's causing it. Try on removing the crotch panel under the cockpit and you can see that you can close the gap behind the cockpit. It's the placement of the locking tabs behind the crotch panel that's causing it. I think it was placed too high somehow. The only fix I can think of is you need to cut some portion of the tab to align it properly, making the gap smaller. But I wouldn't recommend it since by doing that the crotch panel might become loose in fighter mode. And it might have a small gap since the panel will move a little farther away from the cockpit area. I hear yah. Price nowadays is really an issue. Sometimes it's hard to keep up.

I used to have Stick and Ley's kit back then as same as above line. They were 'perfect' Ride Armors back then. I was checking if I should switch to NY but when I checked the shipping they already charging Y4500 for EMS. While in CDJapan, it's Y2900. I'm assuming the box of this will be big as the VF-1's box.
