  1. If he’s more familiar with GunPlas, then I understand his frustrations on building this. I have that same kit before and from the get-go I really can tell that it needs more work than Bandai’s. That kit is flimsy when you build it as is. Not like with Bandai which is sturdy and it has internal support built-in already. With Hasegawa, it’s mostly hollow. You have to fill in some fillers to make the kit a little sturdy esp for figures/robots not like their plane counterparts.
  2. Nice! You guys think that the Figuarts Freyja or Mikumo can mount without a problem in Gerwalk mode?
  3. Premium Bandai is going to release a Seiko Chronograph watch in celebration of Macross 35th Anniversary for Y37800. Preorder starts on July 30, 2018. 11pm JST. Will be released on December 2018. http://p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000126837/

    Bandai DX VF-31

I'm pretty sure the reviewers shot their videos after the first try.
  5. And after that, they should release a Tamashii Web Exclusive Air Show Effect Display Stand Set with light-up features that includes a 'non-movable' Hikaru's Fan Racer in the middle with the rest of the exhaust effect around it where the HMR Angel Birds Five Pack Set should be displayed. Kinda like this. Cool, right?
  6. The head is separate from my PF version. It's in a plastic tray container. See Jenius' photo from his Anymoon website.
  7. Yeah, probably in par (or smaller) with the size of the KC's Cockpit Speaker. This is more like basing it on available sizes we have from Macross Mecha Manual and the 1/60 VF-1's from Yamato/Arcadia. If the official height of Battroid is 12.68m. The length of the Gunpod that came with the 1/60 figure is 105mm. And Arcadia's Gunpod size release is 840mm. Then it's somewhere around 1/7 - 1/8 scale. Now all we need is the rest of the plane parts.
  8. That is so true. Aftermarket prices of Metal Builds are expensive so it’s better to get it during release assuming you’re not getting some old ones. Before you take the plunge on Metal Builds that’s going to get released, understand that not everything is going to hold up forever. If it’s going to stay in the box for awhile, then yes, it will hold up very well. If you’re going to pose it just standing along with other figures, yeah it will hold. If you’re going to leave it in certain pose for a few days, months even, there might be a possibility that when you put it back in normal pose and start to pose it differently, you will notice a little bit of looseness in the joints. If you’re going to keep posing it from time to time, then yeah, certain joints will become loose. And from what I’ve read online, some diecast toys tends to become loose even if it kept new in the box. Anyways, all I can say is enjoy what you buy. Edit: Forgot to mention that I have mostly all of Exia and 00 and all of the joints are still great. The second hand Freedom that I got has loose hip joints and according to the seller it was just displayed and not played. The Red Astraea that I got is so super tight and it’s still in the box since I don’t have extra space for it for now. But I can say that all the KO Metal Builds that I have, those are super tight.
  9. You’re welcome, Yeti. Steve Martin here looks like Andrew Garfield.
  10. You’re welcome! Happy collecting and happy spending!
  11. If you browsed Yeti’s site which is YetiStand.com. It’s already self-explanatory regarding the difference between Alpha and Beta. Beta can have etching on the display stand, it has a built-in adapter hole bended in one corner, whereas Alpha, the adapter slot will be installed in the middle. Like Yeti mentioned on his site, both are dependable. But Beta is more stylish. If you’re planning on doing 2 Valks or more like Slave IV mentioned above, use the Alpha.
  12. Yes sir. I grabbed this photo from YetiStand site.

Since FromJapan is a proxy company (item is sold by third party sellers) you probably going to end up paying around or so Y30000+/- (?). Item Price + FromJapan’s Fee + Local Shipping Cost + International Shipping Cost. By the way, the MSRP for that is Y22680. Initial PO price is around Y19600-21000.

Not sure if it's still open since PO for this ended months ago. But make sure to check two weeks prior of its release because sometimes some store will open up a few for preorder and still offer discounted PO price. If not, then you can check it once it gets released. Then you have to pay it in MSRP.
  15. Cool! I like it.
  16. They should've rolled that out. Announced last 2016.
  17. I don't remember seeing Rick's Cockpit over at BBTS. Only at KC and Robotech Store. Yeah, too bad there's no art on the retail box. But regarding the assembly part, just basing it on the video it's just a few things, right? Besides, some collectibles that I know and even most appliances requires minimal assembly. I said 'appliance' because it's a speaker too. And besides, it's good that they kept it that way because atleast some of the small parts are secured during transit. Imagine, if you open such a box with small broken things laying around in the box. Oooh. I like this idea.
  18. Wow! It's so clean. And tampo printed too.

Ok. Now this page becomes Bandai Wishlist once again.
  21. Why look on model kits, when you can have this for $11.99. Remember it's RARE as per seller. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ROBOTECH-Macross-Harmony-Gold-Action-Figure-Dana-Sterling-RARE/253428606645?hash=item3b0185a6b5:g:U30AAOSwPydZnBsI
  22. That’s a cool plane. On the top side middle part of the fuselage, I wonder if that’s where the arms folds in?
