Yes. Along with the brown shipper box too.
-
I think that’s the box sleeve like what jvmacross posted. Instead of the traditional Tamashii logo, it’s a photo of the product. Same I believe with the other products that’s coming out during the event. E.g. Figuarts Miles Morales below sporting the same anniversary banner.

Yup. Against the Arcadia guy who's going to end up with a 'print out' in an acrylic tabletop display.

True. Arcadia's smart enough to just spent their budget on a glossy paper, ink, and an acrylic display to tease you for an 'upcoming' project. Not like Bandai where they will tease you 3 modes prototypes and ended up put it somewhere safe when they decided not to do it anymore. Bandai wins!

I'm no expert on these matters. But my safe assumption is the VF-1's will always be white. The white on the DYRL movie were changed due to change of format. Meaning more budget to make it more 'cinematic' in approach for the movie versus the ruh production on the series. Also, white probably doesn't show as white on space like how we see it on Earth. It makes sense as well why Yamato did it that way probably to separate variants of it. TV and Movie. Remember, Arcadia released their initial DYRL VF-1's using white (a little bit of pinkish tint for technicality), rather than continue Yamato's off-white DYRL tint. For Bandai's DX, maybe they did it for consistency under Kawamori's supervision. Or maybe the whole time, since I'm not an expert as I mentioned earlier, all white VF-1's should've always been white -- Space or Earth models. -

Got it! Thanks! I also realized that when I said I don't own one, I was referring to the older HG 1990's kits. But HGUC onwards which I like, I own a handful -- mostly AoZ suits which I haven't build most of them. But yeah, good to know stuff about Moderoid. I was thinking of placing an order for Godannar before but decided not to since I really don't want to dig another hole for me knowing that I haven't started building my other kits and here I am planning on buying another kit to pile. But the Orguss and Circus-1 kinda excites me, so who knows?
-
True. I would do that if I'm good at kit building/painting and if I have time on actually doing it. But then, we also haven't heard from @jvmacross of his actual plan.

I get the armor upgrade concept. But it's not going to match the image below from jvmacross. If this is going to push thru, it's gonna be one expensive custom.

Thanks for this @Big s. I don't have Moderoid kits as of now. Been thinking of getting a few soon. Orguss and Circus-1. Just a question though. When you said older HG kits, you were referring to the 1990's HG and not the HGUC from 1999 onwards, correct? Just asking coz I haven't had the opportunity to own one. Thanks!

1/60 VF-1 is at 21cm. The outcome will become the opposite of what was shown earlier. Orguss proportion would look too small for it. How about KitzConcept's 1/72 VF-1A? Which is 19cm based on its product description. Maybe this one will work. *Please note the VF-1A above is still the Hi-Metal R version and not the KitzConcept model.

Hey @jvmacross. I put them side-by-side and measured the VF-1A to the Orguss based on the given height measurement from their respective product descriptions. Hope it helps. Edit: I checked the Hi-Metal R Xabungle page and it says 17cm. If you have one, you can probably use it to compare it with a VF-1 figure to have an idea how big this Orguss is going to be.

I wonder if making the joints ratcheted for a bigger scale will help hold everything together? That is assuming that they will not put locking tabs on certain parts.

Ok. Just want to correct my original post. It wasn't stated if it's AM or PM. Not sure if Amiami is using military time. It can be 11am or 11pm. As of this post, it's 7:46am now in Japan. March 2nd. Try to check the Amiami link above if it's going to work in 3 hours. If not, then check back after 12 hours from it. Right now, out of those links posted above, Amiami is your best chance to place an order. Hope that helps.

For now, it's best to expect 'stickers' as stickers. I checked other pages of their kits and some has 'waterslide decals' on the description and some are 'stickers'. There's an Ingram kit with Bulldog set that's mentioning both. So yeah, expect to be 'stickers' for now. Hope that helps.

I was looking at this scan image below and tried using Google Translate on those texts. It looks like that it has a good heft of diecast metals in the torso, pelvic, and the knee joint. It's the brown colored parts not including the head and the wing intakes. The tan colored parts on the other hand, since it wasn't mentioned, I'm not sure if it's just differentiating plastic type material with the rest or it's the parts that can be changed to produce Olson and the Mass Production types. Also, funny that one of the text discussions is the probe looking missile thing that was attached to the wing. According to Tenjin in one of his interviews with Miyatake-sensei, there wasn't any official name into it during the production and when the series got released. They're now calling it the 'Propolsion Booster'.
