  1. It did, in fact. My mail carrier dropped by while I was heading out to work this morning. I need to decide if I'm going to open up the Valkyrie tonight, and take a quick look, or wait until the weekend when I have more spare time to enjoy the unboxing.
  2. ^Sweet. Love the pics @neko878. Mine is in transit, so I need to be patient for one more day.
  3. I was trying to check out for over half an hour when cdj had 20+ pre-order slots left. Not sure about you, but the site kept crashing for me and then I started to get random cart errors. I was only trying to order one. Nah, this was a tough one. Good on those who lucked out. That's more my speed. Since I tend to ship EMS/FedEx/DHL, I'm ok with the price difference. And with Amazon there is always a chance that the price could go down. Edit: Ok. I had a gift card balance left on my amazon account. That brought the price+tax+shipping down to $215. I'm not sure if metal build prices fluctuate on amazon at all like other products (this is my first real foray into MB pre-order madness), but I'm content with how I did. That's just $6.88 more than N-Y's pre-order price with EMS shipping.
  4. Frack! I got all the way to the order confirmation step at NY, but instead of an order received email they sent me an immediate order cancellation email. Now I can't login to the site. Oh well this wasn't meant to be.
  5. @M'Kyuun This techcrunch article goes into more detail about how it all comes together. https://techcrunch.com/2018/08/30/lego-built-a-life-size-drivable-bugatti-from-over-a-million-technic-pieces/
  6. Yeah! You're right. Now that you mention it, I recall that they used the 1:100 scale one to show off some gimmicks (like the seat gimmick). It would be quite tempting (for me anyway) if they ended up offering clear "stand-in" Valks as part of an armour display or hangar motiff. I do like how the 1:60 scale model pictured above resembles a VF-1J. Very cool indeed.
  7. I was hoping this scale would improve the nosecone armour. I was not disappointed. On a complete tangient: What is up with the clear Valkyrie they're using to model the second set of armour? Is that an official release or something new?
  8. I read a similar article over on blogtorwho. Hopefully there is some truth to the rumor. I'm honestly very curious to see what type of character Matt Smith would play in the Star Wars universe.

Count me in the "ignore" club. Although I did use the up/downvote feature at first, I soon realized how silly it was and how it wasn't really conducive to forum discussion. I decided that it's better to speak directly, even if things end awkward or I don't agree with (or get ignored by) the person I'm trying to chat with here. Now, if I use the feature at all, it's to give other forum members a random blue heart. Likes seem less divisive than those red and green social buttons. Anyway, my AmiAmi order arrived yesterday, so I have my first of two HM-R VT-1 Super-Os in hand, which also happens to be my first ever VT-1 in toy form. I'm pretty excited. Looking forward to the next HM-R announcement too.
  10. I would expect so, especially if they follow the same path they took with Megatron. Optimus v3 could be "toon accurate" to a fault like MP-36. The next release of Prime v3 might have more of a G1 toy aesthetic, like MP-36+, and then we might see a new line of rainbow Primes as Takara milks the new mould and retires MP-10. Of course, nothing is stopping them from doing something completely different either.
  11. Ha! Yeah, I had some of those VHS tapes. The quality was poor. I think I built up a resistance after recording so many years of out-of-focus over the air Doctor Who. That was even more painful. Still, I thought the DVD restorations were nice. I have the entire region 2 classic DVD collection now, and I think the classic blu-rays are a nice bonus. If they do get to Doctors 1 and 2, I prefer to wait for them to be able to do them justice and give us something special. And who knows? They might find more lost episodes in the meantime, if we're lucky.
  12. I wonder which of Tom Baker's seasons the BBC will choose next for blu-ray? Will they choose season 18 to make the crossover with Davison, or will they choose season 16 (The Key to Time), or season 14 (Sarah Jane's departure and Leela's debut)? There are so many good options from his era. Sticking with first season sets will get tricky once they get around to William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton. Most of Troughton's first season is filled with missing episodes. Hartnell's first season isn't as bad, but you do have the one complete missing serial with Marco Polo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_missing_episodes#List_of_missing_episodes
  13. Let’s see...I’ve seen Shada on VHS, DVD (twice), and now blu-ray. The story behind the production is actually more interesting than the actual serial, which gives the audience a glimpse of how the Time Lords punish criminals convicted of high crimes. Given the false starts and shenanigans around production, I guess I’m glad Shada wasn’t another Horns of Nimon. It isn’t my favorite Baker story, nor my favorite Adams-penned tale—I agree it is simply ok. It is interesting, according to Wikipedia, that Douglas Adams was vying to make Shada the last Tom Baker story. He wanted it to mark the end to the Doctor’s days of adventure but Graham Williams wouldn’t have any of it. I was also surprised to learn that JNT tried to finish it after the strike was over, when he became showrunner, but Adams just wasn’t interested anymore. Adams had lost faith in the script. Anyway, seeing the completed blu-ray reconstruction with animated scenes and Baker’s closing remarks was nice all the same.
  14. It appears the next classic Doctor Who blu-ray release is Season 19: Peter Davison's debut. Although I was hoping for a Pertwee box set, this is also a very logical choice. https://www.blogtorwho.com/doctor-who-the-collection-season-19-next-for-blu-ray-release/ I'm in. Just waiting for the pre-order links to pop up
  15. Skyland. I haven’t seen that before now, but the show looks like an even better match to SWR’s animation style. Thanks @Old_Nash. Not quite sure how I feel about the change but I’m willing to give it a chance. I wasn’t into the Clone Wars aesthetic at first either, but I warmed up to it later. Anyway, since Clone Wars is getting another season and it has been reported that Dave Filoni isn’t the showrunner for Resistance like he was for Clone Wars and Rebels, I’m curious to see how that helps or hinders things. With regard to the movie tie-in, yeah I understand how that’s a downer, but animated Clone Wars kind of saved the prequel movies for me. Crossing my fingers that good lightning strikes again. Besides, I’m not really upset about TFA and TLJ. They were ok.
  16. Has this been posted? I search and found Clone Wars and Rebels topics, but no topic for the new series. Anyway, here's the teaser for those who haven't seen it yet. The racing angle reminds me of something else I've read about here... wish I could remember what it was... The art is taking a different direction from previous SW animated releases. The shading kind of reminds me of that used in TRON: Uprising. As an unrelated aside, remembering TRON: Uprising brought on a bit of melancholy since that story was never finished on screen. I hope this show has longer legs.
  17. Ugh. I vote for this thread to be locked until we get some news on actual GG3 movie developments. Gunn certainly was given a teaching moment, and it should serve as a reminder to anyone else who thinks they are “higher-than” their neighbor. Today’s very public internet age can quickly turn moral idignation into foolish idiocracy, especially if one starts kicking the dust of controversy without first taking care of their own house. I think we can all agree that Gunn’s twitter arguments backfired and hurt his career. It’s been discussed well enough in this thread already. I don’t think we need to see what dress-up fetishes he and other consenting adults find entertaining. That has little to do with GG3 and is just pushing the political discussion.
  18. Yeah, it was only a guess after a string of consecutive humid 90F+ days out my way. I went to the smallnetbuilder forums to try and research the problem, but didn't find any leads. I found a number of "internet connection lost" threads, with members noting that the cause could have been anything from a bad firmware update (unrelated), to some cable modem update that didn't sit well with the router (possible), to some completely random critical error (also possible); however, I would have thought the router log would have shown evidence of something in these cases. The log showed nothing for my issue--really strange. I'm hoping it was a random blip, but it could be sign of actual hardware failure (worst case). I'll just have to keep my eyes on the router to see if the problem crops up again.
  19. Let's see...the N56U was released in 2010. Not a bad run. Do you have the latest firmware? Are using any modified firmware packages like asuswrt-merlin? The asuswrt-merlin firmware is often recommended, but there are a number of limitations, especially when using older Asus routers. It's important to use the right packages. Anyway, your issue sounds like something similar to what happened to me and my N66U recently. All the LEDs were on, and were not showing any faults (like the three solid LEDs of death--a common issue with the N66U). However, like your scenario, the computers on my network were not connecting to the WAN through the router. I also could not access the router's admin page since the DHCP settings had gone haywire. If I removed the router and connected a computer on the network directly to the cable modem, I got a good WAN connection. My best guess after troubleshooting is that the router was overheating. I noticed the problem on a hot day when the AC was off. I'm not sure if that's the actual cause, though. I looked through the log once I was able to get the router back online and couldn't find anything definitive. By the way, my router is using asuswrt-merlin firmware. This is how I resolved the router->WAN connection issue: I unplugged both the router and the cable modem, and left them offline for a couple of minutes to cool off. I then plugged the router in first and verified that I could login to the admin page, and that the DHCP server was running again. With the router up and running, I then plugged in the cable modem to bring the WAN connection back online.
  20. Wow! That is an impressive list. I will be picking up GE999 on BD, for sure.

The change of address form will work (you can fill it out online too). The post office will forward just about everything sent to you at your old address to your new address, but it does have a time limit. The last time I used it after a move I think my mail was forwarded for three months or so.
