  1. The shikishi is too much for me too. It's just one of those bucket list things that I would like to have the chance to do someday. Perhaps another opportunity will come along that isn't so pricey? IIRC, Woodhead's other campaigns had similar artwork bonuses that dropped in price overtime. I can't remember what the final price was on those for the life of me, though. I will be surprised if either of the shikishi pledges for the Megazone23 campaign last longer than a week. In any case, I'm glad to see that there are more "art" options for this campaign. If I'm unable to pledge in time for the signed canvas print, I will definitely grab the smaller art add-on. I'm hoping that the smaller version isn't as limited as the other art bonuses. In any case, it will be a good compromise if everything works out.
  2. Galactic Man...Now there's a deep strike on the nostalgia strings. I don't want to miss this repaint. I guess I'm in the minority on the official alt mode, though, because I like the battle platform or whatever it is Shockwave is supposed to be. He and Soundwave look like alternate universe Macross support ships. The unofficial "G1" modes are sweet too, and it's very cool to know that these toys can still pull those off. What surprises me is how Siege is holding my interest for Transformers right now. So much so that I've reevaluated and set a new focus for the rest. With third-party, I follow Planet-X and MMC, with an eye on the X-Transbots minibots and any new SXS releases. Masterpiece is a little more complicated, but I'm in for Hound, Optimus v3, and Bumblebee v2 at the minimum. Blackarachnia will probably complete my small MP Beast Wars collection. And that's about it for now.
  3. I'm the opposite. I really enjoy Mikimoto's character art old and new, even the style he used in Kabaneri. I would love to be able pledge for a shikishi bonus. Alas, I think it may be out of my range this time due to other real-life expenses adding up. I may try for the signed canvas print if enough slots are open for it. That would be a very cool boost to my usual patreon pledge (and worth the extra buckazoids). We'll see how it goes.
  4. Mm. I like how HasbroPulse still uses boxes for shipping and adds those little air packet thingamajigs to protect the items inside during delivery. Amazon US doesn't do much of that anymore, even if I'm lucky enough to get a shipping box to protect my items. I've had a lot of single items shipped using bubble mailers only. No damaged toys yet--thank goodness--but some dented retail boxes here and there. In other news, yesterday Amazon said they delivered my copy of Brunt; however, what I found in the bubble mailer was Refraktor. Between that mix up and my HasbroPulse order I ended up having four of the camera guys sitting at my doorstep but no Brunt. Oh well, at lease I can see the humor in it. Jetfire and Springer arrived today too. I don't have too much to say at the moment, but I'm glad I have a long weekend ahead of me to take a closer look and mess around with them. In the box, Springer is quite impressive with his color and G1 style. The whole presentation has me excited for Astrotrain and Apeface.
  5. Yep! Hasbro showed off many of Jetfire’s play features during their Toyfair presentation earlier this year. You can see Cog attached to one of the “troop deployment” pegs in the video below.
  6. Siege is such a fun line. I'm in for all the figures in this wave--really happy to see so many Decepticons. Read the news at tfw the other day, but thanks for posting the pics here @sh9000!
  7. To paraphrase what @anime52k8 wrote a page or so back, if Bluefin cancels then they cancel. The upside is that it's pretty much a sure thing that other US stores will be carrying stock of EVA-02, so with Bluefin's "preview" up and alerting everyone we can be on the lookout for amazon US, BBTS, and all the rest.
  8. The waiting for other US retailers begins. On a side note, I was able to get an order in with Bluefin earlier this morning so I'm hoping that's all I'll need. And yes, the good night's sleep was worth it. Wouldn't it be sweet if in two or three years Bandai were able to bring more items to the US directly? Dare I say, even their Macross line-up? LoL, I can dream. *crosses fingers*
  9. Thanks for the review, @mikeszekely! For me, I have no nostalgia for Transformers: Cybertron, so this siege version of the character is interesting because it's so different and unfamiliar to me. That, and I like what Hastak did with the new Magnus mold, so getting another toy using a variation of it is pretty cool.
  10. Yeah. I was in college when the original Beast Wars was on the air. My friends and I would sometimes tune in on lazy afternoons to watch an episode now and then because... Transformers. Unfortunately, it didn’t catch on as a regular event. It was simply too uncanny seeing robots turn into animals after growing up on the G1 show and movie. Yeah, I was so rooted in my truck not monkey sensibilities at the time. It would be years before I gave the original BW a fair shake. Anyway, BW II, BW Neo, and Beast Machines never popped up on my radar as a result. These characters do seem interesting and I’m happy for those who want them, but I also appreciate getting to take a break from the MP line.
  11. The Banana Splits are a fictional rock band which appeared on The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. This itself was a kid-friendly variety show by Hanna-Barbera from the 1970s--along the same lines as H.R. PufnStuf. The show had a catchy, if repetitive, title song. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Banana_Splits Not sure what I think about it being rebooted as a horror flick, but maybe this is for fans of Five Nights at Freddy's?
  12. I would advise caution. The MSRP for that set was originally $89.99 US. Looking at your eBay listing, my first thought is that it's for a knock-off. Of course, the price and the seller's feedback are putting up warning flags that it could also be a scam. I searched eBay using Lego's set number. This brought up a completely different results list (with prices in line with demand): https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR3.TRC1.A0.H0.Xlego+75904.TRS0&_nkw=lego+75904&_sacat=0 If you want to save a little more, I would recommend skipping eBay and buying from a site dedicated to aftermarket Lego like Bricklink: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=75904-1&name=Mystery Mansion&category=[Scooby-Doo]#T=S&O={"iconly":0}
  13. Thanks for posting the new pic, @Ignacio Ocamica! I like what KC did to Hikaru's waist. Moving the "buckle" detail on the flight suit so that it sits below the seam should help articulation. The lower legs look to have a slightly different mold too. I wonder if that means the feet will be able to rock left to right? I'm really looking forward to the final retail release.
  14. I preordered 2 of Misa, as well. Will probably do the same for Roy when he appears and Claudia. If KC plans to give us Minmay in a different outfit, I'll bite on that one for my "second" copy. Curious about all the Rick/Hikaru delays, but hoping that KC is simply putting a final polish on the figure and working out last minute tweaks.
  15. Hm. I believe Mikimoto’s art is inconclusive when it comes to the color of those pin stripes. Sometimes they’re blue but other times they lean more to turquoise. A quick google search found this shrine: http://ryougabot.tripod.com/mikimoto.htm
  16. I was about to post that HG's spin doctor is on it already, attempting to confuse and muddy the waters in America...
  17. (1) I believe that is LEGO's interpretation of Earthrise, first captured by the Apollo 8 astronauts and then captured many more times on the lunar surface by other Apollo teams. I'm not sure why they are using a transparency here instead of shadows. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthrise 2) Yeah, I think that is Mars. My guess is that LEGO is probably taking liberties to connect this to the Lego CITY Mars Exploration line that is out in the UK/Europe and is coming later this month for the US. A minifig-scale galaxy? 3) I would think that the sun would be somewhere off to the left based on those lunar shadows. The shadows covering the Earth are definitely reversed if that's the case, and I think Earth ought to be brighter too (compared to Mars). 4) Ah, no idea why they went with inky blue but the moon has an atmosphere... It's not Earther-friendly, though... https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LADEE/news/lunar-atmosphere.html

Man, it's so nice to see jungle's site back on-line.
  19. Here's the amazon.co.jp link: https://www.amazon.co.jp/タカラトミー-TAKARA-TOMY-トランスフォーマー-マスターピース/dp/B07SPWN6Z5/ref=sr_1_1?qid=1559878022&refinements=p_28%3AMP&s=toys&sr=1-1&tag=transform0c-22
  20. Toy Dojo posted their pre-orders for GX-88 earlier today and I completely missed it. I would have considered replacing my amazon pre-order with them if I had been more observant. Anyway, here is the link: https://www.toydojo.com/soul-of-chogokin-gx-88-armored-fleet-dairugger-xv/ Vehicle Voltron is listed as out of stock, but it may be worth keeping tabs on this in case any slots are freed up due to cancellations. I'm sure other US stores that carry SOCs, like BBTS and The Chosen Prime, will follow suit and list this bad chicken soon.
  21. I'm in. It looks like the front tires fold up under the hood of the Jeep in bot mode, similar to how Willis transforms. I'm hoping there will be better clearance on the official MP, though. Willis is a bit tricky in that area. Back to MP Hound, I really like how the arms fold up in the engine bay to create the illusion of mechanical "stuff" inside. And those rear tires have my attention. I'm curious to see how they work as the plastic bits apparently break down completely for transformation which is really cool. I think I see that the spare transforms too. All the accessories look fun, as does the articulation. I'm fond of that stuff, so there's more to like. That said, I'll be keeping my third-party versions as they have their own character and are worth it for other reasons. Anyway, the big concern I have with Takara's official MP is price. Will be looking for a decent place to buy this guy. The US sites are all trending high, which is disappointing but somewhat expected.
  22. Ordered one set of strike parts from AE and another set from NY (along with the new SH Figuarts Bulma). That'll do it for me until we get more news on Macross TV style Valkyries, or Bandai announces Roy's DYRL 1S.
  23. Mm. I've had Amazon cancel Transformers pre-orders on me before, so I understand that of which you speak. Anyway, if the worst were to happen, I'll roll with it. It would be a real bummer for sure, but I do have my SOC Voltes V and Lion Voltron already so that's my personal silver lining I guess. Can't speak for anyone else though, and I do understand when others get frustrated with the numerous pre-order shenanigans.
