It's amusing that N-Y's scalper price for Hikaru's movie 1S is 2500JPY less. I was expecting at least one more step with Roy before we hit the exosphere. Oh well.

Yeah, Takara pricing has become it own meme. But IMO if the design is a solid step forward, then I'll be willing to pay $200 (maybe a little extra) for a fun MP jet Transformer. I guess quality is my biggest concern when considering this new mold, and I do hope Takara has its act together there. Maketoys' seekers looked the part and I really enjoyed their articulation. Sadly, I had a few quirks with my copies that got in the way of enjoying them completely. I also think I was one of the few fans who were really bothered by the gappy open-back wings. The wing fillers I got didn't adhere all too well either. -

Buzz over at the tfw forum is that Takara is getting ready to announce the next MP seeker mold. Could be. The same thing happened with the DYRL Strke Packs. They had those on order, but didn't carry any of the 1:48 scale DX Valkyries except for Kakizaki's 1A which was also TWE.

It’s just a dream, man. Bandai could make all of this easier if they wanted to, but I know how it is. Gundam is the favorite child.

I do wish these Tamashii web exclusives worked like Goodsmile's pre-orders. Even limited run figmas and nendos that come with bonus items have a clear set order window. But Bandai fans the flames with their vague constraints: orders will close when we reach this magic number no, we won't share the magic number but if this is popular we may open additional runs I guess they know how to treat us addicts.

Yes. Episode 18 "Pineapple Salad" is when everything changes. After Roy is fatally wounded, Hikaru becomes Skull Leader and then later begins piloting the VF-1S.

Mm. That's just as legitimate too. I think it's cool how we each have our own impression of her from the first season. I'm looking forward to how season 2 challenges my own perceptions of Vanya's character.

Vanya was one of my favorite characters too, and her story is indeed tragic. Seeing her as a tragic 'villain' is as sound as seeing her as a super villain like a Mr. Glass archetype, I think, especially given the timey-wimey plot driven elements of the story. The other points you summarize are the things that were difficult for me to watch in my original play through. It was obvious that Vanya was being taught not to accept herself for who she was but to repress herself and her talents. And then she meets someone on her own who appears to accept her, who is not part of her mixed-up family and earns her trust, and ... More season one spoiler-ish thoughts below.

The TV packs will be a fun option. I already picked up a pair of DYRL packs for a non-canon look too, which I'm totally okay with if these supers end up being hard to find. I'm still undecided on whether or not I want the GBP armor at this scale. Although it isn't the same scale, I do have the Arcadia release and an older set from Yamato which both get a lot of display time.

Yeah! Season 1 of The Umbrella Academy was a lot of fun. I've been picking up the graphic novels while waiting for the next installment. Here's the thread I made for the show. Hanna is already on my Amazon "to watch" list, but I don't know much about it or the original movie so I'll be going in fresh. Is the original movie required viewing? Will have to check out Warrior Nun after that trailer. It looks...interesting. At least, I like the monster hunting aspect. But before I get to it, I need to finish season 3 of Dark. I'm about half way to the end.

I was bummed because I was up all night and into the morning, and this is the first pre-order where I did that and came away empty handed. It sucks being on that side of it, plain and simple. All that is water under the bridge, though, today. You're right @treatment. More opportinities to pick up Roy's 1S will come. My mantra now is not to give in to FOMO.

Indeed. If these go like the general release Hikaru Valkyries or Max's 1A, then the usual suspects should open additional pre-order slots as time goes by.

What a spectacular disaster. Happy for those who were able to navigate the chaos early this morning, but I crashed and burned--literally in some cases. My shenanigans started with CDJ where I got one into my cart after a bit of finagling, and then I immediately got the no stock notice when going to check out. No worries, right? Plenty of shoppes left to visit. Well, AE was shut down and didn't come back until the pre-orders were sold out. Way to go AE! AmiAmi kept tossing each pre-order I tried to make out of my cart. I made at least five attempts with a live pre-order buttron. Anyway, since I was messing with Ami's site, I completely missed the AJ link until the last minute when that stock ran out. *deflated* HLJ was my final stop and that was a particular happy sort of madness when that went live, teasing us with their add to cart button for minutes whereas the actual pre-order lasted mere seconds. My HLJ experience matched my CDJ one and I was able to get Roy's 1S into the cart but was blocked by that dreaded no stock notice. In a holding pattern now waiting to see if we get any more surprise in stock opportunities. Realistically, though, it looks like I'm waiting until November on this one.

Yeah. Hope we get more news about that DX YF-21 this weekend. I'll have to stay up for that pre-order too if an announcement is imminent. For Roy's event, it all begins at 0300 for me.

I have the same issue. A set of DX missiles and super parts is ready to ship from AE and I don't have a way to move them. I've read that if you have a tenso account, you can add that address and AE will deliver it domestically to the tenso warehouse. Tenso will then handle international shipping since they offer more options at this time. I just haven't had the time to create an account.

@Octopus Prime Whether or not you are the seller, the subtext to what other members are trying to tell you is this: it is bad form to come to the forum and use your first 9 or 10 posts to plug a sale. It is even worse to do so on the day of a pre-order in the dedicate toy thread. Not only is the toy forum the wrong place for this sort of thing, it also looks like you are trying to subvert forum rules.
