  1. Pre-ordered Hubcap and Exhaust at Pulse. Not seeing anything else yet...will keep an eye out. Walmart is being *helpful* by displaying a generic Hasbro image with all the pre-orders.
  2. I'm in for all the ER Coneheads, since I've never picked up any other iteration of them before. The Prowl and Ironhide set is a pass, though.
  3. Too bad. So sad. He was trying to convince everyone that Kaki’s TV 1A was next in line, and Bandai trolled him with the DYRL type.
  4. Yeah. Amazon isn't a service I would describe as user-friendly for this sort of content. They change the rules all the time, especially on the US portal. Reading into it, I think, is just part of the strange stir-crazy days that we find ourselves in at the moment. Thankfully, there are other resources if you want to buy (even in the US). Yen press noted rightstuf still caries all their light novels in print form and book walker is available for digital editions.
  5. Yeah. KitzConcept is the best value if you get your pre-order in early, since they usually offer free shipping. However, even without the early shipping bonus I would give them top marks for their customer service. Attentive after sales service is a rare thing.
  6. And the Kitz Concept v2 thread is here:
  7. Pretty much. It’s entertaining watching all the rumors and theories circulate, but Disney will do what it wants in the end.
  8. The original MSRP for the TV Supers (with tax) was 8800JPY.
  9. It is. BCS have improved their paint and sculpt work. The early New Who figures and Companions had some minor quirks, but were respectable even so. The Classic Who figures have truly raised the bar.
  10. I'm impressed by how the LEGO designers have taken the Nintendo license to a completely new level of abstraction by using bricks to actually simulate a connected system. I like the scrolling mechanism it employs, and the cartridge gimmick is so very much on point. I wouldn't mind getting it as a gift for someone into its retro design. It's a cute package. Not really for me, but very impressive all the same.
  11. Get ready for the return of Roger Delgado's Master. Big Chief Studio's next 1:6 scale figure. This will look good together with Jon Pertwee's Doctor.
  12. I missed out too. Was away from the computer this evening until an hour after the news broke and didn't even think to check MW or HLJ until later than that. With any luck this may be as "limited" as HIkaru's 1J, meaning we'll have ample opportunity to order before release.
  13. Yeah, it’s a trilogy that he’s been driving and I don’t know how I missed the first two parts: Trollhunters: Defenders of Arcadia and 3Below: Tales of Arcadia, which are in the same universe.
  14. Cool. The Haslab Sentinel project has almost hit its initial 6000 backer target. It looks like Marvel fans will have a very good chance of unlocking the additional crowdfunding tiers. Although I'm watching from the sidelines, I'm cheering you guys on.
  15. Man, I hope we see the PF VT-1 that was teased months back. That would be a grail/unicorn release for me. Beyond that, I would love to see Arcadia show us upgraded PF versions of Shin’s VF-0A and Nora’s SV-51. The M0 mass production fighters would be different and super tempting as well. Don’t know how viable it is, but all this talk about M7 has me thinking about a tweaked PF VF-11B/11C. It may be a long shot, but I can imagine something fantastic. And if they were to bother with the VF-11, then...perhaps...MAXL??
  16. Early bird ER Arcee review is out and... @M'Kyuun was right on every single point . Like this guy notes, hopefully we'll get some paint on a Netflix version, or when they reuse the mold for Elita. Looking at that T30 (Platinum Edition) and ER alt mode comparison shows quite a big difference. It will be interesting to see if Reprolabels/Toyhax will be able to improve the ER alt mode in any way.
  17. The new trailer is out. I've been holding off on reading the graphic novels...LoL! The wait for this is getting real.
  18. ^Well said. The fear of missing out can get real at times, but as I get older I also notice that a little patience will save me money in the end. And if I can't get a figure for whatever reason, it isn't the end of the world either. There are more important things to hold dear. And if the hunt for what's coming next is becoming obsessive, then sometimes it's just healthier for me to step away for a bit.
  19. It's called reading comprehension and empathy, my friend. He said he got an order in on Roy's 1S (probably today) and overcame COVID. Who knows if that was today, this weekend, or whenever. Maybe you could ask him if you really care? I have been seriously ill myself, and understand what it's like to miss out on current events and to be out of touch. Just chill.
  20. LoL! In Ridden's very next post he notes he just recovered from being severely ill. Are you paying attention to this thread?
  21. Congrats on your recovery, @Ridden001. The TV Supers are out now for Roy's DX. They're still available at some shops too (pricing varies): http://www.anime-export.com/product/48181 https://mykombini.com/en/december-2020/19231-dx-chogokin-macross-super-parts-set-for-tv-edition-vf-1-bandai-limited.html https://www.kuramatoys.com/dx-chogokin-super-parts-set-for-tv-edition-vf-1/ there may be more...
  22. After the 31a fiasco, I simply got tired of the delays and lack of communication. The final straw for me was last year's Super/Strike Parts shenanigans. Luckily, I didn't have to do anything drastic since I only had the SSPs and few October pre-orders left to ship. Once that stuff was sent out, I stopped browsing the store. If N-Y does show service improvements and more members speak up about it here, I can always go back. For the moment, though, I'm not really interested.
  23. I've placed a handful of orders with mykombini over the years: super parts sets for the VF-31 Valks, some Hi-Metal Rs. I haven't had an issue...yet. And there's the other side of the coin. Alas, they're about as controversial around these parts as N-Y, especially if you have an issue with an order. There were plenty of threads a couple years back IIRC. Anyway, if you are okay with the inflated price, keep the order as a backup and continue to look for an open slot at one of the vetted stores like AJ, Ami, CDJ, or HLJ. It seems more will open up in due course. This is how I'm doing it, although my backup is at another store that already noted they will refund my purchase if their stock doesn't come in.
  24. Congrats on the pick up, @M'Kyuun! The Seekers have been out of stock for a couple weeks out my way. I keep missing the on-line stock updates. I haven't even begun to look for the Clones. I don't think they've made it out this far yet. Anyway, at the rate I'm going, the local Targets will restock, and that's just a-okay.
  25. @RedComet scores multiples and works with a local artist to create unique weathering editions. Other guys buy multiples like DYRL VF-1S wrote to help their friends who don’t have easy access to this stuff and even to help members here and on other Macross forums who need to sleep through it. Although I won’t argue there is some classic scalper profiteering going on, I think most people who stick around the forum are legit. Roy is simply a high demand release. I think we are getting into some fuzzy territory if we start pointing fingers at other members because of their collection habits. Just be patient if you are still looking. It will work out.
