just to jump back to an older discussion, I just picked up an alt sideswipe yesterday, did the quick mod to give the trunk section more room to move, and can't figure out for the life of me why has-kara didn't do this in the first place. Now, I'm not a fan of the trunk on the chest look, cause that's not how sideswipes supposed to look, but the extra trunk rotation is enough to put the wheel wells over the shoulders, and give swipy some badass shoulder missiles. It makes the toy look a jillion times better from all angles.

cool thanks! Basically, i have to cut the front of a model car off. I don't need the back part, so I can butcher that pretty good, but the fenders forward has to be perfect.

Hiya, I've got a model that I want to customize into a toy...to do this, I need to cleanly cut the model into parts. Just wondering what the best way to do this is without melting or cracking the plastic? I figured a dremel would get most of it, but probably melt the plastic, and a sharp knife for the rest...wanted to check with the experts first though. Thanks!

karateka always played like crap on my old commodore, and my dude wouldn't stop running until he mashed into one of the baddies and fell sown I loved beating on that dudes eagle though! I was always more of a Way of the Exploding Fist or Yie Ar Kung Fu fan...and don't even get me started on Rocketball

how poseable is the neck/head? It looks weird in all the pics...the rest of it looks sweet though.

jsut to throw my 2 cents in here....I've had the Alt Smokescreen for a while, but the Binaltech Smokescreen just showed up today...W W! The die cast, the paint, the piggies on the mirrors...I love this toy (and will never transform it). The Alt looks just as good in Robot mode, but the car mode isn't even in the same league. For the other customizers/subaru fans: Tamiya makes a 1/24 2002 WRX model that is the EXACT same size as the BT/Alt. As soon as Silverstreak comes out, I'm gonna do a little bodywork, and convert it into my car...yay! I had always planned to do this, but never expected the hood/fenders to be such a perfect match...I may have to make 2 of em.

yea, i saw him on the blacklist a while ago so i read through the posts, and it ended up being for something silly (box got damaged in transfer). Stuff like that makes the black list pointless in my opinion...it should only be for rip-off artists and liars, not perfect sellers whose boxes get dinged flying halfway around the world Why blacklist a guy that has great communication, ships quickly and has good prices if the postman decides to play soccer with your package?

Baldur's Gate II let's you pick from a few main characters (including a dark elf monk chick), and then you upgrade your weapons and armor throughout the game and it changes your character's appearance (boots, gloves, helms, armor, weapons all affect the look) A similar game, Everquest: Champions of Norath, gives you more room for customizing the initial character I think (every character can be either a dude or a chick), plus it has the same weapon/armor appearance thing goin on. They are both hack and slash type rpgs.

as with all my other transforming toys: 2 of each, one in vehicle mode, one in robot mode.

Whatever it was, it was horrible...I can't believe it's a hatchback though! It looked so much like a mini van...

just to rant a bit more about the element...I saw this commercial today that started off with this crazy robo-beast thingy running down a tunnel thingy, lookin all bad ass (it ran funny though), and then it started to turn into a car...what kind of car? was it a supa-fast sports car?...no was it a big assed truck?...no it was a mini-van!...GHEY! after a few seconds the mini-van turned into the honda element...GHEYER! this was quite possibly the most I have ever seen a company miss its target audience...evar.

as long as they don't make a transforming Honda Element, I'll be happy

prowl will be another impreza...we've got impreza cop cars in Canada, Japan, and I saw a pic of one from Colorado...plus it fits with the whole G1 thing.

he can't hold the gun to the side...weird...mine can...maybe we're thinking of something different.

i think it's funny that they have to chop the stacks, since the gun-mode megs it comes with is longer and pointier than the stacks, not to mention, I don't think anyone dumb enough to poke their eyes out could transform this thing anyways, so it probably wouldn't appeal to them. you can't really blame hasbro though....people will sue over anything in the States. Up here in Canada, if some kid poked his eye out with a Prime smokestack, his parents would just smack him upside the head for being such a dumbass.
