Cool the YF-21 is nice and blue and so sleek and sexy. I'm in love. I really hope this one comes with the gunpods and Yamato to throw in the fast packs too Its time to start saving again.

Macross 25th Anniversary and upcoming new TV series thread
SuperHobo replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I agree, but who knows we don't know the full scoop on this series yet so there still could be a possibility of their being a strong villain like enemy who doesn't just say RAWR in your face. -
Indeed those old Transformer commercials were cool. However this new commercial with the YF-21, at least in my honest opinion isn't going to have some sugar high child recking havoc upon the 21, but rather a more professional way of showing this masterpiece off. Its just a thought, but I believe it could be more like a car-ad or possibly a photo shopped stop image clip show with each transformed mode shown and Japanese characters at the bottom explaining price and features. Either way this sounds interesting. Hopefully if the price is mentioned it will be below the $150.00 dollar mark. It probably won't, but one can dream right?

Macross 25th Anniversary and upcoming new TV series thread
SuperHobo replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Well the VF-25 is looking pretty sleek and sexy even if the pictures aren't high res. The animation I'll leave to judge when I actually see it in action and not some unclear photos from a magazine. I hope the CG valks are even more rendered than that of Zero's. Hopefully with the proper funding and writing will see a beautiful spectacle in Macross history. All we need now is a scene in the series somewhere where a symbolism of Minmay getting slapped is put in and I think we can call it a win. -
That is awesome cheers to a newly forming mecha lover!!

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - <<Season 1>>
SuperHobo replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
This Gundam actually makes politics interesting not that I don't think politics is boring, but it's not executed well in a lot of animes. Just as a notion Sumeragi looks HOT in her normal clothing !!! If done right this could be the gundam that breaks the tie and redeems the franchise. One can hope right? -

Well hello fellow MW members! I just got my VF-0S today with ghost booster from HLJ. Amazingly it only took 2 days to ship from Japan to my doorstep(very cool). I have never owned a VF-0S before so I never had the 1st issue, but I'll be reviewing this item as best as I can. Fighter Mode: This bird is solid when straight of the box and when transformed its nice and tight. Of course all the nice tampo printing comes back and there aren't any over sprays on mine so it looks great. Landing gear is fully deployable although it requires a little work to get out. I'm happy to report there is not broken back syndrome or oddness of the fighter mode. Two thumbs up to Yamato! Engine details look great. Gerwalk Mode: Gerwalk mode is equally awesome and makes a nice menacing pose. Everything is nice and tight and the floppyness is very slim to none. I checked the shoulders and there isn't any stress marks in the plastic. The feet lock in and out as far as I know of and keep the Valkyrie sturdy in all poses. Battloid Mode: In battloid mode this toy really does shine with amazing articulation and stability. Everything is tight and sturdy. Yamato did not go glue crazy on my valk so this guy is free of sticky situations. The backpack is very flush against the back and looks great without a proper locking system. The leg fast packs attach by magnets and it does the job, but I would have wanted a better locking system with pegs rather than magnets. My only other gripe is about the shoulder armor which don't lock in until put into the right position. On mine the left shoulder is more locked in than the right, but thats only a minor gripe and really doesn't affect my opinion of the bird. There doesn't seem to be any floppy hips either. Ghost fighter: This gray hunk of plastic is a nice accessory with fully workable landing gear and a booster on a ball joint. Pretty cool looking. The missile pod add ons are a nice compliment for the 0S as well. Problems: So far the only thing that bugs me is the shoulder armor not locking up to well and those "chicken hands". The hands hold the gun fairly well, but I would still prefer some meaty robotic hands over these. Do I recommend buying you the consumer to buy this product? My answer is yes! This is the 0S we've all been wanting without the QC nightmares. Not only is it beautiful, its sturdy as well! Yamato I believe can now redeem themselves after the 1st release. I'll repeat I have found zero QC issues on this production model! I'll post some pictures later.

Wow I never know that made a kit of the Black Sarena. at $172!!!! YIKES!! I hope the bandai spec version will be a fraction that price. !
-
Takara's version should be coming out pretty soon. Don't quote me on this, but they should be releases on November 1st according to some sources I know. However the Hasbro version at $50 is pretty awesome considering what you get. I'll continue to rampage my Wal-Mart to see if they stock this bad boy. Hehe I live a block away from Wal-Mart.

XD Sure why not? Crash helmets for all!! I want a crash dummy to along with mine please.
-
Still waiting for HLJ to ship mine out. They should be shipping it out by Monday.

So far all of the Hasbro Masterpiece Starscreams are starting to flood ebay or perhaps evil-bay. So far all of them are coming out of Texas. One seller has like 4 of them up for sale. These scalpers are just plain evil towards the rest of the fandom especially those in Texas who couldn't get one of these because some guy decided to buy Wal-Mart's whole stock. I'm over here in Southern California and I live about 1 block away from Wal-Mart so I'll keep everyone posted if I come across one. if I find some I'll surely tell all of the So Cal fans to come on down.

All is well friends. All we need is some patience and a six pack of your finest beer and were good to go. Until then sit down and enjoy your current toys with Awwwhhhh
-
And so the hunt for red October...I mean Starscream begins! All hands on deck, grab your wallets and for god sake kill the scalpers!!

From the looks of it I think the smaller figure docks into the larger black armor. Then I could be wrong

ROFL. That fake report makes me want to do a cartwheel of laughter. Yeah like Yamato is going to shut down the YF-21 project and not want to make a huge some of money. If they can make one in 1/72 scale years ago a 1/60 with their sculptors and designers in this day in age is MORE than possible. They made the oh so complex SV-51 they can certainly do the same with the 21. Whoever wrote that crap could of at least make it sound "authentic" by actually saying something a little more realistic than committing ritual suicide. What is this the 17th century? Pranksters like that shouldn't deserve to lay a finger on the 21 when it comes out!

Hmmm at first I thought this might have been new pics of Konami's High Impact figure, but it looks way too plasticy and limited detail to be the one Konami is offering for close to $200. Anyone know what figure type this is? and for how much?
-
Your probably right. So far the SV-51 is the most expensive toy I've ever bought. Godmars could rightfully take its place as the most expensive toy I buy yet!
-
Ok I don't know who God Mars is , but I have to say he each bot looks nicely articulated and combined form is very reminiscent of Voltron. I just might buy this guy if the cost isn't over $200. More toys to blow holes through my credit card. XD

Ill do a small review similar to Squidd's addressing any common problem that exists or is fixed. I'm still waiting for HLJ to send me the payment email, but that shouldn't be long. I hope.
