So history repeats itself once again. More VF-1 goodness is always welcome. However I have my 1/48's and still want to get more so I'm going to have to pass on these 1/60's (perfect edition). Is it just more or do the shoulders seem a bit small?

Well its been about half a year since I've seen the remastered DVD's of SDFM by Animeigo, but wow when I saw the original Macross in remastered format I was extremely pleased. I admit I use to be a robotech fan who used to watch it on Cartoon Network when they re-aired it on Cartoon Network in the early 90's. However now I'm a young adult now and I prefer the mature story of SDFM. The beautiful re-mastering is just the icing on the cake . Hurray for SDFM.

LOL NICE IDEA Sumdumgai. Anyone want to make a custom of that? That will be worth a beautiful laugh.

New more movie accurate toys are coming and here are some photos. Just another milking of the cow I guess. Prime and megs look cool though. PRIME with sword = FTW. I might pick up the 08 Bumblebee as well. I'm glad I didn't buy any of the movie line yet.

Oh man the Manga entertainment one looks like way too dark and old. Actually it looks almost as though manga entertainment made a direct transfer from their VHS copies with only minor color corrections. Curses I wish this R2 remastered box set came here in the states with subs.

Well coming from Yamato you have to know which issues of the toy to purchase. For example the VF-1S you bought might not have all the superior up to date fixes the later releases have. The Roy color VF-1S is being reissued again and I think it should include all of the fixes which are in that of the VF-1J's. However that's the problem with Yamato is if its your 1st time buying and without knowledge from these forums its that the releases you might pick up could have a lot of faults in them. Considering the valks you bought recently were the older versions with more QC problems its prone these things will have the QC defects. However all of the TV 1/48 valks and VF-1J releases are pretty damn solid and superior. In the end I'm sorry to hear you got the 1/48's with minor problems, but don't let that discourage you from buying other Yamato macross products. As for buying any valks from the Zero or Plus line well again you have to know which one to buy. In both of these lines the ones with the fixes are the ones that come with some kind of extra like the YF-19 with fold booster or the VF-0S with ghost booster but of course the price is always much higher. So I say good luck and I don't care what these guys say, but ramen for a couple months will drive a man crazy to get some DUCK!

Toynami? What is this toynami you speak of? Oh well must be some knockoff brand of of Hasbro. XD

Well I happen to like konami's high impact model. However I will agree that $170 for this toy is just not acceptable. If this was say $70 or maybe $90 I'd bite. I adore Gurren Lagann, but really I'm not willing to shell out money for every product out there. Right now the YF-21 and SOC Godmars is on the top of my list.

Hey Swoosh once again very nice pictures. I thought the Nora scheme was kinda ugly, but now I like it. It also seems Yamato did the accurate color corrections that weren't on the first prototypes. Good job Yamato. Graham also mentioned the wing issue was fixed also. Very nice. However Swoosh how's the hips on the Nora scheme? I would like to know whether they are as loose as the Ivanov or much tighter?

Call me crazy,but the more I look at it the fighter mode is looking better and better . Nice too see both of them get nicely detailed cockpits. Missiles and detail look top notch, miles better than Toynami's strap on missiles. Sure the whole think looks a little off. but heck with all the nice details and gimmicks and hopeful CM sturdiness all of these faults can be forgiven. Hmm now to fork out $200-$300.

WoW the Legioss looks beautiful in solider mode! Nice and the Legioss connects to the Tread!!! WOOT. The chest area looks too be slightly larger and looks overall much better. In fighter mode the nose is MUCH shorter. Is that better or worse? Tread looks pretty good, but I'd like too see more of it in fighter mode. I think the Legioss' fighter mode still looks kinda funny, but solider mode looks great. Oh man this is going to cost at least $200-$250. Oh lord please be a reasonable price for these beauties. Please stop killing me with these prices for the toys of my dreams. In addition considering how CM likes too use a nice amount of die cast in their toys I wonder how much will be in these two bad boys.

These things are truly addicting. I didn't know about Macross world or Yamato valks until 4 or 5 months ago. Now its November and I have 3 1/48's a GBP armor, Super parts set, YF-19 1/60 , SV-51, and a VF-0S with ghost booster. These collectibles are an addiction. AND I"M LOVING IT!!!!!!!! Truly welcome to the party!

Indeed they "look" nice, but looks can be deceiving and Aoshima+ Toynami needs not any judgment as the final decision will always be thus; anything made or associated with toynami will be literally a mini atomic bomb just waiting to explode once the owner strikes thee packaging tape with a swift cut and a sign of dismay. Hold on. So Bandai already has the license for Macross F? If so it would be kinda nice to see Bandai's take on the toy factor especially a highly detailed valk. Hehe SOC valk HURRAY. Hmmm and Yamato is starting too get really good in their releases.
