By today's standards of toy making the VF-4 should not be impossible and I think a lot of the fandom would love to see this thing in toy form instead of the few model and resin kits out there. I see thanks for the info. On one of the auctions I bought from them it says they ship out items 7-10 business days after receiving payment or do they usually ship a few days after payment? Hopefully my stuff comes by Monday because I can understand if my package comes late due to the holiday rush.

Hopefully CM's final product comes with a fully painted cockpit and pilot that would improve the look of the fighter for me at least. In addition I'm glad another version of this toy is being produced may not be anime accurate, but heck its very reminiscent of the old Gakken toys with the paint job and structure. I pray at least 80% of the joints are ratcheting joints! 2008 really is going to be an expensive year. I for see myself eating a cup of ramen with one hand and sipping a cold beer in the other.

Man I hope we can see this thing with all of its micro missile hatches open. TO: eriku Yes this is MW and were all a bunch of critical beastards, but could you really blame us? I think the bi%ching would be a lot less if this thing was 1/2 of its price as it does look a little underwhelming for the photos you give people to sell the product. Granted these 2 are transforming toys with a lot of anime magic to it, but for $257 plus shipping one would kind of expect a little more bang for their buck. Maybe its all of the Yamato valks that has us so consumed by accuracy? Like you I'll be one of the first guys purchasing this thing and doing a review for it. In addition after the whole Toynami/ Aoshima incident all of our expectations were set pretty high to blow us away. This could be the most satisfying legioss / tread toy in years for those who want it should take a crack it and those who think it blows could pass.

You might be right about this job being tough for CM or any company for that matter. CM's Patlabor figures are top notch and pretty close to the anime, but their transforming figures such as Godraijn-oh and their DX line really has poor engineering. CM's Gaogaigar figures are pretty cool, but still a lot of room for improvement. Once again my only hope now for this set is for CMs to make it LIKE A ROCK!!

I hope CM's adds more detail and a better paint job as it does look a little on the cheap side. Sure its not proportionally correct to the line art, but if CM's could make this thing sturdy and have some nice gimmicks I'm willing to pay for it. However I'd wait for some reviews on it because if its problematic like a certain Whorenami you could kiss my money goodbye CMs. My main concern is the price. I know CM is a small company, but if this thing was say $150-$170 I might be more turned on by this product. So its time to play the waiting game and see if this finally the toy even all been waiting for.

Jesus Christ I knew this thing would exceed the $200 mark. 29,400 yen = $258.638 USD!!!! Does anyone know if this thing is going to be all plastic or will there be some diecast metal? It looks alright, but it doesn't seem to be worth its price tag. However most of CM's products don't looks worth their price tags. Take for example the DX Gaogaigar figure or even the small little Mospeada ride armors seem expensive at $60 bucks a pop. On the other hand I personally own CM's Patlabor Griffon so I think I could expect good quality from this release. Its also nice to see CM's is releasing all 3 color variants for this mold. I never spent over $200 for a toy before, but this just might cause me to do so. Oh HLJ special anyone? I wonder if Lost and Found toys will be taking pre-orders for this thing. LOS where are you?

Yup Graham confirmed that the opening air break and wing flaps would be gone on this new 1/60 line, but other goodies he didn't announce yet are still waiting to be unveiled.

Pretty good first episode. So far we get to see small little insights about each character, great music, nice pretty fluid animation, great mecha, and some nice homages. I have yet to see the subbed version from shinsen-subs( currently downloading), but really the story and plot is not the most important thing as this the 1st episode which is only to hint at plot and bring out the characters. The animation: Nice! A lot of parts I didn't even know were CG until close inspection. I love how the CG and 2D animation blends. . However there are a few laps in character movement and drawing, so there's always room for improvement. If SK's group could keep up the animation level its currently at and exceed even better throughout the series we could really have a visual spectacle on our eyes if not already. PLEASE NO RE-USED GUNDAM OR SUPER ROBOT animation. I really hate how some animating companies use re used animation. SO PLEASE NON OF THAT IN FUTURE episodes! It was fine for the old shows, but not in modern anime of today its just too cheap and tacky. Characters: Seem alright, not the greatest, but they work in just fine. Will Alto cut his hair and look more like a teenage boy? Lets hope so. I hope all of those jokes about his feminism will hint at some snip snip . Seriously though I love it how there making fun of overly feminine looking guys. Lets be serious MEN SHOULD LOOK LIKE MEN AND WOMEN SHOULD LOOK LIKE WOMEN! Simplistic idea? Answer: YES! But what really matters is each gender's body's should be proportionally and politically correct. Ranka Lee isn't annoying too me and seems very cute a likable character indeed. Thank god she isn't like Temma from School Rumble. Mikhail is funny and a bit of a bastard. XD Overall: I enjoyed this 1st episode and I'm hungry for more! I don't know about you guys, but I like the new recoil sound when Alto was shooting that bug. Ahhhh that sound could slide me too sleep. Episode 2 here I come!

One can hope for smaller Yamato boxes right? I wonder what other gimmicks this line will feature besides the double jointed elbows. If Yamato offers this for cheap I just might have to get a Roy or a Max TV as I don't have those in 1/48 scale yet. Man 2008 is going to be one expensive year. Who else wants to start fund raising for toys? By the way how tall is this new 1/60 line going to be in battloid mode?
