Seeing the ride armors being the same size as the legioss always makes me do a double take at how small the legioss is at 1/48 scale.

https://twitter.com/TREXTOYS/status/1274189985999020032 From T-REX's twitter, the shoulders do indeed rotate all the way around, they are just tight. Panic mode over.

I imagine it's just a tight joint that you will probably just have to brace in order to flex the shoulder higher. There is no way they designed the shoulder to flex only like 45 degrees. **Read that twitter thread and it seems the shoulder joint stops at a certain point which is super odd. Could they not have shaved off a milimeter or 2 to get full rotation? OR is it that the paint thickened up those metal parts enough to cause too much friction in that area?**

I always appreciate it when a transforming mecha toy ensures that the pilot is facing in the proper upright forward position and here is no exception.

The illustrator doing the box art has been doing fanart of a potential tread connected to the sentinel legioss. The desire is there, hopefully the sales tell Sentinel hey this is doing well. And if it is a good mold I imagine the red and green will see well too.

If Bandai ever makes the GN arms , would you consider buying it for Exia? The 00 Qan T is an interesting display piece that goes out of its way to have as many moving and detachable parts sometimes to it's own determent. I don't have the broken shoulders, but I've seen a couple of cases.

Agreed, I remember picking the aoshima release and thinking to myself, the sculpt looks good enough, but man it was built with crappy materials and probably the lowest factory of the bunch built it. Then I got the CMS and thought well it's made out of solid materials, but man the engineering and sculpt on it is wack! Maybe this time we finally have the best of both worlds. Maybe.

Kitz Concept Toy Thread 2.0
SuperHobo replied to Stampeed Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Not bad, I think KC might need to up their game on their stock photos. Having two different figures is fine, I don't really trust removable armor that will be solid all that much at this scale anyways.- 2451 replies

CCS toy's previous figure the hardcore thunderbolt mecha was sold at HLJ and hobby search so hopefully we will be seeing GL pop up there soon enough.

It's cool that this GL is official licensed. Their previous products were of high quality so I eagerly await this GL and FINALLY after like 12 years the great impact GL won't be the reigning supreme diecast GL.

Yup, that is correct. The head lasers are made out of a nice hard plastic now. Man, I remember the days of those damn bendy head lasers and how'd they'd be warped out of the box. I do not miss those times.

Having a matte finish would elevate the beauty on this bird. Reading some Japanese twitter comments, they took the same quote and claimed they were happy the finish would be closer to the latest DX releases. Hopefully, someone who reads Japanese well can chime in here.

Agreed. I wish the the new studio good luck and bring SNK to a wonderful closure. The manga is really close to being done and if they time it just right the anime could have the same ending as the manga. It's been a hell of a ride with SNK and I really hope the ending sticks the landing.

Hmmm I if the hips are still ball joints and the ankles have remained unchanged, then this is an easy pass for me. I hope Bandai or someone makes some better VF-25s and 29s.
-
Hopefully, Bandai really will add some stiff ratchet joints instead of just a tighter friction joints. To mention it in the magazine I'm thinking it will probably be a new joint design over the crap they had before.
-
Sweet to read about those improvements. Ratchets on the hips and ankles are must especially with the super packs on. A matte finish would be sweet too. It would be cool if Bandai did a little video to highlight the improvements. While they're it, I could totally go for a few more tabs and slots to lock in the chest + backplate like the VF-31 does.

Sadly I do not see any port or removeable panel to insert it into a common MB stand. He's not as heavy as you would think but so far I'm not sure what stand would be perfect for this guy.

Alright here comes 3P metal build figure number #2 the metal myth Sinanju! This is a really interesting piece. Initially, I thought this was just a copy of the master grade, but with metal parts and some LEDs. I'm pleasantly surprised to see most of the outer armor has been resculpted with new details! The 3P one is also taller than the MG. This is also the 2nd batch that has much less ghetto packaging and the hands are assembled for you. Ironically, the battle-damaged head-fin got bent but I was able to bend it back. Some joints are a little overly tight and I would recommend moving them at the base of the joint to prevent snapping the joint off. Paint is pretty damn good except the fuel tanks could have used another coat of white paint. A few parts also came unglued and needed to be glued back on. I love the stand, the light-up zeon base makes for a great night light. The overall diecast placement is also done well and it makes him feel pretty well balanced. The battle damaged head is a neat inclusion. Some interesting changes from the MG would be that they added a more useful mid-torso joint. However, they took out the opening cockpit and the cool wing / thruster expansion. The 3P Sinanju also put the ankle tilt joint too high up the ankle and it greatly limits the range of motion which is disappointing. The fuel tanks are also static and no longer on ball joints. It's also interesting they made the front skirts smaller and the feet bigger. It's also weird the top of the head comes off and I'm really not sure why. At first I thought the batteries went in there, but nope those goes in the back. For the most part, I'm happy with this piece and it makes for an amazing display piece. I've always wanted a candy red metallic version of the Sinanju, but only model kits were available until now.
