Well man, sit back and join the rest of us on the fence because someone else can take the bullet. And while I love the legioss design even I'm restraining myself from preordering because I keep remembering the 2SS I handled and thinking it was a pile of junk.

Hmmm if the measurements are correct this guy will be as tall as the 1/35 Gakken. Hey, at least the size will be good right?

Overall, looks pretty decent, but I could use some tampo printing. And is it just me or do I clearly see pegs on the forearms, but there doesn't appear to be a hole for them to tab in the legs? I hope it's still just a prototype, because that would be beyond stupid. 25,000 yen is too much and is almost as crazy as the megahouse orguss toy (at least we know that's a solid toy). If reviews are solid on this I will consider it when it goes below the 20,000 yen mark. The size of this legioss is something I've wanted to see for a while now. No more tiny legioss.

Looking at their VF-2SS, they would keep all the preorders and release two other variants in the future.

Looks like EVO toys legioss is going up for order tomorrow. Now let's all see the crazy price. A new tidbit I learned is that in soldier mode is about 24 cm tall or about 9.44 inches in height. I'm guessing that measurement is from head to toe. Pretty good sized legioss if you ask me.

The Transformers Thread (licensed) Next
SuperHobo replied to mikeszekely's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Not to worry, those are just pins. Anyways, I finally had time to transform MP megs 2.0 and it took me about 2.5 hours with a video manual. The journey was worth it to see the engineering in the figure. And the transformation is something made of wizards and sorcery. On the downside, there is too much paint on this toy and some of my hinges were a little stuck and required some mild massaging to loosen it up. If it wasn't for some overly tight pins and hinges the transformation would be pretty fun. Furthermore, his paint will chip off in some areas and it's almost unavoidable. I put some masking tape on some areas that were going to be visible in robot mode, so hopefully those parts are fine. Takara should have did what they did with Shockwave and only paint what they could not mold in the proper plastic color.- 16669 replies

The way WIT uses still frames is one of the worst I've seen. Kabaneri did it a few times and it was awful to look at, this neon green lighting with speed lines and zombies slowing dropping down, WTF is this? Usually a decent shortcut to anime would be to pan across some pretty scenery and have the characters talk over it. But WIT just has the characters talking in a motionless scene that has filters and crap over it.

If the rest of the season looks as sharp and fluid as the first episode, I'm okay with the 12 ep count. Keep it up studio WIT, no ugly ass still frames please.

Gundam Show Thread - MSG thru Witch from Mercury
SuperHobo replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That ending is certainly going to divide fans. Nevertheless, I'm on the side of enjoying the ending. The intensity of it all was on par with the mobile armor conflict. The music was extremely well placed and I was holding on to my cereal spoon for a long time because I could not look away. Season 2 has been overall been enjoyable ride and at least for me is the first time a gundam show became more entertaining in it's 2nd season (2017 is a strange year indeed). I Applaud Sunrise for trying some new things. Did they all work out? No. But I appreciate how they sought to make IBO different from the rest of the cookie-cutter gundam shows. I will remember IBO as a polarizing experience where I greatly disliked season 1, but stuck it out to enjoy a roller coaster ride of season 2.- 3574 replies

Gundam Show Thread - MSG thru Witch from Mercury
SuperHobo replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It's interesting that in the end, Strangely, I was more hyped about seeing this week's episode over the finale next week. Maybe it's all the death and doom and gloom giving me a somber feeling going into the finale. Will it be satisfying enough? Will there be a surprise announcement at the end?- 3574 replies

Gundam Show Thread - MSG thru Witch from Mercury
SuperHobo replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well damn, another episode where I'm shedding tears for IBO. It's crazy how much I disliked the first season, but for some reason I stuck with this season and I feel rewarded with season 2 where all of the crap is going down. I remember I only shed tears once throughout Gundam 00 when a certain sniper bought the farm.- 3574 replies

47 episodes in of IBO and I have to say I'm quite impressed with how little stock footage or reused animation there is for a mecha show.- 3574 replies

It's almost as if Miura is allowing this crap to happen so that way his manga will be the definitive adaptation regardless of who tries to animate it. I've waited 10 years to see the berserker armor animated and it will be coming to all of us in glorious cheap looking black CG. :C

It's interesting that next season we are getting a season 2 of Rage of Bahamut and that has more realistic human designs like Berserk and that show looks fantastic. It's strange that no more well-known studio wants to take on Berserk when other shows kind of like it can be done well. Crazy world indeed. Kyoani's Violet Evergarden looks breathtaking and I never heard of this LN before, yet it is getting the utmost attention to detail.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
SuperHobo replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'm not the biggest SAO fan either, but when I read the plot synopsis and read early reviews it intrigued me to see it. This is the first time I got to see a subbed anime-fan only movie on the big screen and I want to support more of it. -
What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
SuperHobo replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just got out of the Sword Art Online movie and I must say the movie was ALOT of fun and was very heavily connected to the very first arc of SAO. I can totally see why they hired the director of photography from Ufotable because most of the action scenes looked like I was watching the glorious battles from either Fate/zero or unlimited blade works. There's also plenty of touching moments between Kirito and Asuna that were just damn cute. If I were to complain about anything, it would be a few scenes do look a little limited in the animation department for a theatrical screening, but there was always a large action set piece to follow so I can overlook some of the slower scenes that looked just okay. The final confrontation was an SAO fan's wet dream and was a glorious spectacle of action. Overall, I'm very pleased with this movie and I hope Aniplex and Funimation continue to do more anime movie screenings! I was also very pleased to see the anime fans in my area come out to fill every seat in the theater. It was funny some asshat I was sitting next to in a restaurant said, "who watches anime now anyways? no one does." I swear if I could have shown that clown a picture of the theater I would have such a laugh. -
Wonderfest pics usually don't up until about 5:30PST and usually arcadia/yamato's stuff gets put up later.

I really hope so. I wouldn't want to buy these, then come back to them four years later to see all of the red dye scattered in the box. Which reminds me, I need to tailor a new red jump suit for my beagle stig.

YES YES YES IT'S HAPPENING! But, that cloth better be more durable than the crap they used on the 1/10 beagle release because that garbage flaked off like golden brown puff pastry dough.
