im not saying that current anime is better, just saying that when it comes to mecha, current animation is naturally better

your talking about stuff having bright colors and unrealistic proportions, gundam and macross, max, millia, skull one, and the rx-78 are all just as brightly colored as the mecha of today if not more so, yukikaze, M+ more 'realistic' coloring and the valks and gundams of the 80's didnt have a tough polluting worn feel, they were brightly colored, cleanly nuclear powered and i doubt there are any 2 frames where a mecha from back then would have the same proportions.

before i boguht macross i had memory of only the first 2 or 3 episodes, in my mind i remebered the animation being great really detailed, then wheni saw it again probly 10 years later i actually wondered for a moment if i had been remembering a different show, the majority of the animation on macross was pretty bad, especially on the valks, all pudgy and proportions constantly changing around. personally, i like the animation from the late 80's to late 90's it was still drawn cells, but the framerates, details, porportions, and continuity of the animation had all improved, id ont like much fo the current CG animation because i think it looks sterile, i wouldnt say bland because the detail is there and the animation is smoother but somehowit just lacks a human touch and isnt as appealing. as for current shows that are good i would highly reccomend elfen lied to anyone who considers themselves to be well adjusted, it has graphic violence and potentially disturbing content but the actual story is fantastic, it is immediately in my top 5 favorites of all time

wtf is wrong with these people? they didnt edit out the blood when iruka was hit shuriken but they edited out the nosebleeds when naruto did the sexy no jutsu

ohmy farting god, the english version is on toonami, it is oen ofthe worst dubs ive ever heard, naruto is supposed to be a loud self confident wiseass, instead they mad ehim sound like an 8 year old pussy white boy with strep throat and they altered the dialogue so horribly, and they removed the intro and ending credit songs and replaced em with a random a rock guitar solo and they translate some words but not others, they jutsu but instea dof syaing konoha they say hidden village of leaves, they farting slaughtered it, slaughtered it again, burned it, pissed on the ashes, ate them, shat them out, and fed it to a pig and threw the remains in a dumpster and for some incomprehensible reaosn they changed the backgorund music slightly, it basiclythe same but with minor changes, there is no word to express how horribly they have ruined the show, and they cant pronounce a single name or japanese word correctly

i like anime cuz it tends to be better than most american shows, but i also love family guy, futurama, simpsons, aqua teen hunger force, and to a lesser extend, american dad, so it's not anime i like, it's animation, animated things are funnier because all sorts of whacky stuff and facial expressions can be done that couldnt happen in real life with out a painfully obvious special effect, and the same goes for action, which makes me very curious as to how well the live version of evangelion will be pulled off, ive yet to see a good looking giant robot in a live movie, the closest thing so far has been the power loader from aliens, and ED-209 from robocop, everythign else has been either bad cg, bad animatronics, or bad man-in-suit (power rangers)

omg dont get me started on the mizuki arc, they shudve just done the timeskip after they said that orochimaru would need 3 years to use the skill again, i mean that episode even set it up like it was about to skip, naruto is like "im off to train with erro senin" and tsunade just agreed to take sakura as her apprentice, that was the perfect time to jump ahead and they blew it

dont get me wrong i like the character development and such but the humor is like totally gone, how long has it been since we've seen a sexy no jutsu?

while i tihnk theyre good, i like the older eps much better when it had more comedy, and the current animation style is meh

i have a bandai fire valk, box and valk both c8, maybe 7.5, id probly sell it cheap, it's been sitting in it's box in my closet almost 2 years

very nice but the high up perspective makes the arena seem pretty small, think about dropping the camera to a much lower level to make the arena seem vast

Here's an idea, they've got the series smallville going (i dont personally watch it) but that show has basicly got the oigin of superman out of the way, and arent they planning on a followup show, "metropolis"? either way they could just make a superman movie based on the current smallville timeline. however i think the best possible superman they could put on the big screen would be the death of superman, that was an intense saga
