Yeah, that first one kind of reminds me of an updated Angel from Evangelion. -

This is a bit late, but Gainax has announced the winners of the contest they were advertising on their site for designing the new Buster Machine. The new machine or machines will be making their first appearance in episode 5. Out of over 200 entries in the contest, the grand prize winners were Gainax Net members Toransan and Sowasandu. And while we are at it, these machines look awfully strange. -

I'm gonna have a fit right about now. That pogue ANA who posted that obviously blatant spolier in this thread before it was deleted two times and which I will not repeat has PM'ed me and totally killed the entire book for me. And this was because I had asked him to stop posting spoilers in this thread. Now I'm disgusted and and not going to get the enjoyment out of this book like I expected. I am thinking of going to one of the mods to see he's punished. This sucks! -
Throw in Galactus hooking up his planet killing equipment so he can eat the Earth's energy, along with the Silver Surfer hitting on Ben Grimm's woman Alicia, add a couple of Skrull and make the Mole Man the comic relief and we might have a good movie. I did not care for this movie at all, and I loved the comics when I was a kid.

Michelle Forbes is the name you are thinking of. By the way, the info you posted on this actress is already included on her filmography at the IMDB. Spoiler: "Battlestar Galactica" playing "Admiral Nelena Cain" in episode: "Resurrection Ship" (episode # 2.11) January 2006 "Battlestar Galactica" playing "Admiral Nelena Cain" in episode: "Pegasus" (episode # 2.10) 16 September 2005

SDF Macross Licensed by ADV

Well, I guess those few news stories I had seen were wrong then. I'm sure that in one form or another AnimEigo is still going to get credit for the restoration, and I do not see any way for ADV to avoid this. And I'm pretty sure that HG may have purchased the copyright from AnimEigo to use their subtitles. It would be strange to see two different subbed versions out there. But that is my opinion and it is always open for discussion. -

Why buy their box? Why not get the Paul Champagne boxes that were specially made for us members of Macross World? MW members AlphaHX and Mechamaniac put a lot of hard work into having these made, and they also hold the DYRL movie as well as the Flashback 2012 and Macross 20th Anniversary DVD's. Actually, I am very pleased with it. It took a while to get used to the two-eyes open method of shooting since I've used iron sights all my life and my left eye just has a habit of closing when I look through a sight. And the damn thing is accurate too. I had to do very little (and I mean very little) zeroing on it since the sights are adjusted at the factory. As for the iron sights, I had to do a lot of work getting those zeroed. I last heard Bushmaster was having indexing problems because they overtorqued the barrels. I fortunately got one of the barrels that was fine. The sling I got for it was also a good purchasing decision and well worth the $37 I spent for it. And I do find that I like the foregrip as well. That and the underforearm rail I got from GG & G was well worth it. Hell, I may just ditch the shotgun I use for home defense and use this instead, but then I do not want to have lead flying through my walls into the street. Maybe some type of frangible ammunition? The Silverado Gun Show is this weekend in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and I'm going to go for a few hours to see what I can get. Basically all I'm looking for this time around is a M7 bayonet to replace the one I lost. -

Harmony Gold has stated that AnimEigo will be credited with the subtitling and remastering job, and the original liner notes which appeared with the originals will be included with the ADV release. This is going to be funny, as ADV's competitor may be included on their packaging. -

Hey all! I'm back. I am so glad MW is back up. Trying to talk Gunbuster with the knuckleheads at the Animenation and Anipike Forums is like trying to talk to a brick wall. Thankfully this forum is more adult oriented, that is, whenever we aren't fighting amongst one another. -

Personally, I thought Hardware Wars was a lot better. As for Yoda, how about Master Spud Yotater? Yeah, I know. It is lame. -

That being said, Burton's film is supposed to be a more literal transaltion of the book. From what I can recall, Roald Dahl hated the original movie, and this new one seems to have had input from Dahl's widow. At least the bed-ridden grandpa won't be getting out of the sack and singing that golden ticket song or whatever. Okay, back on topic... -

All of the mecha designs were done by: Kazutaka Miyatake Koichi Ohata Mahiro Maeda If you want to know about artbooks, look here: http://www.toponeraegunbuster.com/Gunbuster-Books.html. There were of course other books and such with artwork, but the ones I have listed were the main over all. There are also some Mikimoto books such as My Time and Haruhiko Mikimoto Illustrations which has some original artwork. -
BloodRayne Statues Now On Sale!

The poster is real. It is listed on the IMDB. And Kristanna Loken does look like she picked up a few pounds. -
I am a fan of George Romero's Dead trilogy, and will probably go and see the new film Land of the Dead at the end of this month, however, I've come across this little bit of news which I could not believe, until someone sent me a link to confirm it. Romero remade his original Night of the Living Dead, and I found it passable, and kind of liked the remake of Dawn of the Dead in a somewhat bizarre fashion. But come on, this is enough already! It appears they are going to remake Day of the Dead! And while I feel that Day was the weakest of the three films, I did like it a lot, even with Bub the zombie running around and shooting a pistol. So, what are your opinions of this travesty? Is anyone out there outraged as well? Oh well, time will tell... Original link

BloodRayne Statues Now On Sale!
Noriko Takaya replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Okay, since I have brought up the BloodRayne statue, I have just discovered that the movie's new website is opening in 35 days. Egads, this will be a stinker because Uwe (I take movie scripts and f_ck them all up) Boll headed this travesty. Here is the poster if you haven't already seen it. Edit: Had to edit the 35 days stuff. See above. -
What I meant by fanbase here is that the vast majority of MWer's are not Whovians, so why have a thread? It kills me to even say this, because I love the series and have been a fan since the late 70's. There are other sites which relate to the good Doctor and would be a better place to talk about the new series. I don't mind hearing about news from the show, but there is already a thread about this, and the last post there was almost 2 months ago.

Well, Martian Factory has finally released their resin cast statue of Rayne, and I have to say that the images look pretty good. However, they are only limiting this piece to 200, and the price is about $210 US dollars. If you are interested in one of these things, you can purchase it here: http://martianfactory.chainreactionweb.com...id=23<br>. Good luck on getting one if you really want it bad enough. I certainly did.
