  1. I had problems with Tamiya's paints as well the first time I used them, and figured the water I thinned it with had to be the problem. I now use the paints religously on my military models without any problems.
  2. Yep, Emotion is part of Bandai. My wonderful Gunbuster is under their label.
  3. Good job! A real Chinese girl cosplaying as Minmay. And she's super cute too! Welcome aboard! Hope to see more posts from you.
  4. Hey, I'm sorry. I read your message. But the films have been legally for sale here in the US for the last 6 years, and asking someone to point out a site where they can download a clip of a fight that lasts about 10 to 20 minutes is ridiculous. If you have never read Gainax's page on Evangelion and copyright issues, you would find out they are extremely anal when it comes to their cash cow, especially when dealing with video and sound files.
  5. Well, to blatantly state the obvious while no one else has, why not just go to the video store and rent a copy of End of Evangelion? Then you can show your friend the entire movie.
  6. Bjorn Borg Billy Corgan Sarah Michelle Gellar (What the f--k?!)
  7. Well, if you want that answer, I keep coming back to Macross because for one thing, it is a decently written series which was kind of innovative at the time of its conception (transforming planes and such), and that it is one of the first complete anime series that I had seen before American influences turned it into what it should have never been. You can say that while Speed Racer, Astro Boy, and Gigantor may have piqued my curiosity about anime from my early childhood, it was Macross which cemented my dark path down the road of otakudom in my early adulthood. As for coming to Macross World, I like a lot of the people over here. You guys are so much more classy than the morons and idiots over at some of the other forums. I'm not saying that there aren't some of those here, but at least most of us are well rounded anime nuts who generally like to talk about Macross and other crap that comes up. Now if we could just get our animated avatars back...
  8. In the order I like them, here goes: SDF Macross Macross Plus DYRL Macross Zero Macross II Bathroom Material (Because these are what I would watch while sitting on the john if my current Maxim magazine is too boring to look at): Macross 7
  9. Yep, Otakon is now taking pre-registrations for year 2006. You can go here to sign up or renew your past membership: https://ssl4.chi.us.securedata.net/otakon.org/reg06/
  10. I don't like Kat either. Hope she gets fragged by one of her wingmen or buys the ranch in some other fashion.
  11. Oh no! The Asian Uwe Boll!
  12. Like I said, Manga Entertainment had nothing to do with that. Manga UK got it first. They're the ones that cut the heck out of it. Trust me, Manga Ent is just as pissed as we are. Manga UK never sent them the sound effects and music track. So they simply can't do an uncut release. Keith was being quite forward about many of the things most companies would never admit too. 365402[/snapback] Ah, but I said this remark before you posted the one about Manga UK, and I did not know about the Manga UK involvement, otherwise I would have stated it.
  13. I liked this past week's episode also. Good stuff.
  14. You're talking about the attrociously edited series Dangaioh, which for some reason Manga felt they had to mangle.
  15. I already knew this. But hey, I'll be happy to pay for another version of Gunbuster, hopefully complete this time with a better translation.
  16. Why does no one believe me? I told you guys a while back that I got official confirmation of this from Manga's parent company, Anchor Bay Entertainment. Then again, I may have posted that note over at Anime on DVD'd forums...
  17. Well, there is an old video arcade game called Gunbuster not related to the anime. Then again, I may be totally wrong and you all should just ignore me...
  18. Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but this has nothing to do whatsoever with the series we all know and love. It is totally non-related.
  19. Well, my cable box has just decidedly taken a dump on me and died. So I am going to miss tonight's episode, which will be on in just under 2 hours.
  20. Just finished watching all of Firefly and Serenity this past week and I have to say I was floored by just how good this show was. I am wondering how I missed this when it made its run on television... Now I am all empty and wanting more. Damn you Fox...
  21. Yay! Hooray! Then again, we'll see...
  22. I've got a bonus coming to me in about a month. It's gonna be about $1000, so I may just blow it on one of these. However, being the Gunbuster fanatic that I am, I really have misgivings about paying that much money for what amounts to just a toy. Then again, I may just say f--k it and buy the thing, then sell it on eBay a few years down the road calling it the "SUPER RARE STUDIO HALFEYE TRANSFORMING GUNBUSTER ROBOT". or something like that.
  23. If someone out there would learn how to shoot a horror movie properly, then you would not need the gore. If a director can get you to use your mind to imagine a certain scene, then what you conjure up would be way worse than what some special effects wiz can think up.
  24. Does this even warrant an answer?
  25. Just about sums it up for me. Scumbag...
