  1. One of the first screen names I ever used was vauxhall3098. Since I am such an avid Doctor Who fan, it was an obvious chioce, as the Doctor drove an automobile known as the Vauxhall 30/98 (see image below, and you may recognize it). However, I have always used Noriko Takaya on this forum, as well as a few others, and if you have ever seen my avatar, you'll realize I took it from Aim for the Top! Noriko is my favorite anime character.
  2. Found another pic of Cally. Looks like she is about to get the crap kicked out of her in this episode. What the hell did she do to Tyrol. Could be that whole "blowing Sharon away thing"... Here's a link to more images. I like the one of Six and Zarek. http://pics.livejournal.com/ravenclawdrew/...Burdens+Part+1/

  4. Hey, I have seen these images before and have even corresponded with the young woman Hilary who cosplayed as Noriko. I've been wanting to add a cosplay page to my site for a while, but have been unable to find any attractive images which would look good. Hilary and Ali did a lot of work on those costumes, almost 2 years, if I remember. I just wish they had done the shoes also...
  5. Oh, by the way, the 1/48 Cylon Raider is about 7.5 inches long. Here is an image of the 1/72 Viper next to it to give an indication of how big the fighter is:
  6. Cylon Raider pics:
  7. Images of the Viper Mark II:
  8. Oh, some images of the Galactica kit:
  9. Well, I haven't seen anyone here talking about model kits for a while. I just dug up these links for those of you interested. 1/72 Viper Mark II: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/cfstore/ind...&Product_ID=368 1/72 Cylon Raider: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/cfstore/ind...&Product_ID=579 1/48 Cylon Raider: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/cfstore/ind...&Product_ID=578 1/9600 Galactica: http://www.comet-miniatures.com/browse.php...teg=11&zone=11& I will probably get the Viper, but a few other kits here have caught my eye: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/cfstore/ind...&Product_ID=542 http://www.starshipmodeler.com/cfstore/ind...&Product_ID=441
  10. Okay, here's another series. I just finished watching Mezzo DSA on Sunday. What crap...
  11. A7 had a complete list with pictures back on the old forums. It was great. And it would be the only way I'd ever see a live action Robocrap movie.
  12. I would have killed to have had a 1:1 scale Eagle Transporter from Space:1999 to play around in when I was kid. The ship was just freakin' cool. I would still love to have one; but god, where would I put it? I don't have room on my property for an aircraft hangar. A few years back, there was a company licensed by the BBC to produce props and effects from the series Doctor Who. A few of them I wanted were full scale replicas of the Daleks, the TARDIS, and a wearable Cyberman costume complete with Cyberblaster. I was opting for the Dalek, which was the more reasonable of the three, but the shipping costs would have been horrifying.
  13. Well, tonight's episode was interesting, to say the least. I wonder if Six and the original Sharon will be joing up with the resistance now. I mean, especially after what Six did to what's-her-face, her life means squat.
  14. Got Serenity, and kind of knew I would also. Battlestar Galactica came in second.
  15. Ask and you receive: By the way, I won this thing from a dealer on Yahoo Japan.
  16. Yeah, Blake's 7 is a favorite of mine as is Doctor Who. I managed to buy the first two seasons on DVD from a seller on eBay. Good thing I have a region free player. As for the site being scary, no it isn't... And by the way, the replica costume is something I came across and had to include on my site. And it is packed away in a vacuum sealed bag and stored away from all who would laugh at me. (I did try to get my girlfriend to wear it though, but it is way too small.)
  17. I can't believe you haven't clicked on the link in my signature if you want to know more about the original Gunbuster.
  18. The Aim for the Top! DVD set that was released last year is nothing more than a digital remaster of the series with a lot of great extras, such as the inclusion of the final 2 science lessons from the okaerinasai laserdisc set as well as an uncropped version of episode 6. Hopefully when Aim for the Top! is finally released here in America, this is the set they will use.
  19. Well, the last anime series I watched that I positively loathed was Kare Kano. My girlfriend got the series as a gift from one of her friends for her birthday, and I was coerced into watching this. Ugh!
  20. Nukes aren't nearly as scary in space - no shock wave. Still, pretty impressive for a museum piece. 371927[/snapback] Uh, the Pegasus is a state of the art battlestar. The Galactica, while being older, may not have been able to survive 3 hits, but then again, Adama is a lot more battle saavy than the last commander of the Pegasus was.
  21. I got mine to stand in the pose as described in the pictures, as well as the lightning kick pose. You just have to fiddle with it. Since I am such a Gunbuster nut, I had to get it anyways, so I got two. One to play with, the other to leave right in the box.
  22. I've been trying to figure out where I can go to find a legitimate site which would be the anime equivelent of Napster or Musicmatch. I've Googled, but have had a brain fart. If anyone knows of such a place, please post it here or preferable PM it to me. I'd appreciate it.
  23. I'm gonna see it, mainly because Milla looks good with that black hair all straight and long... By the way and off topic, but I have to know, what's up with the Terry Schiavo avatar, NERV?
  24. Way to go, Lee! Great episode this week.
  25. I glue and do minor painting and assembly in my bedroom at my work desk, and do the heavy painting down in the basement.
