  1. I fight like I was taught in the Corps. Down and dirty. Other than that, I practice the fine art of emptying whatever firearm I'm holding into the nearest antagonist.
  2. I hope you're not calling us trolls. Most of the posts here have been by regular posters. (Oops! Now I've gone and done it. Close the thread before things get worse!)
  3. Subs. 'nuff said.
  4. Just finished watching both volumes. Cannot wait for volume 3 to come out. Love this show.
  5. I'll be there also. Picked up my pass Thursday around 6:00 p.m. and beat the thunderstorms. If you see a big guy wearing a Wolvering t-shirt sporting a military haircut and camera bag, that's me.
  6. Sean Connery gonna be in this one? And will this take place on Io? Oops, wrong Outland...
  7. Well, it seems that Bandai Entertainment has announced that they have acquired all of Honneamise's titles save for two of them. One of them is Patlabor. Guess what the other title is? While Gunbuster 2 and the Gattai movie have made it to the list, the original is not on it. God, I certainly hope this is an oversight. It'll suck if the series is no longer available again after all the bitching we went through to get it here. Maybe they are going to put the original music back in episode 1?
  8. Off topic a bit, but Tricia Helfer = nice cans. No wonder Baltar was so quick to spew (no pun intended) military secrets. Much like Priss was in Blade Runner, the Six model Cylon must have been designed as an infiltration/sex type version.
  9. I said belly-up hoping you would read this.
  10. From Anime News Network: "Bandai Namco Holdings has announced on Friday that it will combine its two video/audio content subsidiaries in America — Bandai Entertainment and Bandai Visual USA — on July 1 and liquidate Bandai Visual USA. The company's announcement still lists Tatsunori Konno as the head of Bandai Visual USA, even though he moved back to Japan this month. As of the end of April, there were officially only two employees of Bandai Visual USA. The liquidation of Bandai Visual USA is expect to be completed by the end of September. Bandai Visual USA was established on January 5, 2005 with an emphasis on collectors' editions of Bandai Visual titles from Japan. It met with heavy resistance to its prices which were similar to those in Japan, but far above those in the rest of the North American anime market. It has US$4 million in capital and, as of last December 31 (the end of its last accounting period), US$2.983 million in total assets. During the accounting period that ended last December, it sold US$1.151 million worth of goods, but lost US$595,000 before taxes." Well, the only good thing I can see of this merger is that maybe prices will go down on some of their overpriced DVD's. I'm glad I got Gunbuster when I did. I wonder if the licensed titles previously released by BV-USA will carry over to the new company? If so, and prices do fall, I may pick up Diebuster.
  11. **Inserting barrel of shotgun into mouth right now.**
  12. "Sutekh the Destroyer is supreme!" Best moment for me in Pyramid of Mars was when Scarman had his brother killed. I had just seen The Empire Strikes Back and noticed that Admiral Ozzel was Scarman's sibling. Dude couldn't get a break. Got strangled by Vader and then by his bro.
  13. Hey, for those interested, I've updated the screen saver which I offer on my site. If you still use those things, you can download it here: http://toponeraegunbuster.com/gunbuster-screensaver.zip
  14. From the Anime News Network:
  15. Read here for actual info. By the way, this guy owns J-List.com, and I personally met him at Otakon in '07 where we talked about this. http://www.seishun.org/2005/03/robotech-iv...nterattack.html
  16. What a nice image of Kazumi Amano! Welcome back Commander...
  17. You asked for it...
  18. C'mon, it's Hong Kong bootleg tom-foolery. They'll slap a name on anything, even if it's wrong.
  19. Could be worse. Bandai Visual could have gotten it and each volume would probably be around $100.00. But I'm glad it's coming. I'll get the subbed version as I do not need a dubbed one.
  20. CD Japan has it for sale if you want to buy it from them. Region 2 and no subs though. Here is the link: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=DSTD-2194.
  21. Damn him for BloodRayne. I signed it.
  22. Man, that sucks. Two of my favorite episodes of Space: 1999 were written by him; Force of Life and The Testament of Arcadia. Something which always bothered me as a kid that i didn't learn until later. I always thought this Johhny Byrne was the same as the comic book artist. I got this idea because John Byrne (The artist), penned the artwork for the Carlton Comics Space: 1999 magazines.
  23. That would be if they stuck with the formula for the first season. The second season of Space: 1999 totally blew balls. The Six Million Dollar Man would be kind of cool to remake, but he would cost a lot more to make these days and they would probably have to go back to the show's original title "Cyborg". As for my preferences on a remake, I'd like to see Buck Rogers in the 25th Century totally remade. Get rid of Twiki, Dr Theopolis, and that funny bird guy and all the cheesiness of the 70's show and make it a dark and gritty war saga. Buck can remain a womanizer, and Wilma Deering has to be a hot, hot chick like Erin Gray was back in the day.
