  1. Removed this post and images because they were redundant.
  2. Hell, I'd wear it. That's friggin' funny.
  3. Well, since I missed out on Gainax's officially released t-shirts because I could not fit my fat ass into one, I decided to go ahead and design my own. Nothing special, just an image on the back and the logo on the front. Let me know what you think of these travesties. Which ever one I decide to go with, I will post pics of it when I get it.
  4. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I actually liked the book Battlefield Earth. I'm not into Scientology or L. Ron Hubbard's views, but he did write a fair science fiction story. I feel that if it had been handled properly it would have made a good movie or miniseries. However, a sequel I didn't want to hear about: Toy Story 3. Yeah, I said it.
  5. Figures... He goes for the chick with all the dough. Lazy bastard. (Well, I guess I would do it also.)
  6. Well, to answer the question stated by the title of this thread, "Anime has been insulting my intelligence since 1965." And it continues to do so every time I watch it. That's why I love it.
  7. Well, since I'm on vacation this week and doing absolutely nothing, I am going through the entire Death Note series, which I have never seen. Then I have the three movies to contend with after that. Before I started Death Note, I just finished Last Exile, which I enjoyed immensely.
  8. And here I was thinking I was the only one stupid enough to buy one of these.
  9. Upon my death, all of my stuff is to be destroyed. I will not have foreign hands manhandling my stuff. And if it isn't, I'll make sure I come back to haunt whoever has it.
  10. Hope it's Betty. I hate Veronica, even if she's rich. Let Reggie have her.
  11. "Chariots of the Gods" (1970) by Erich Von Daniken
  12. It gives meaning to the term "The Seven-Year Itch". Poor Amanda having to wait for that long to get Sarek to bump uglies.
  13. Yeah, Boll deserves a serious thrashing. I still haven't forgiven him for ruining the BloodRayne franchise. He has the Midas touch, only opposite. Instead of gold, everything he touches turns to fecal matter.
  14. By the way, here's my pick of worst science-fiction film of all time. It's a little gem from 1974 called "Bolshoe kosmicheskoe puteshestvie" or "The Grand Space Adventure". It stars a little Russian hottie named Mila Berlinskaya who decided to stop making movies and got the hell out of the Soviet Union to pursue a career as pianist in Paris. While this song, sung by the actress herself, may sound kind of gay, it's also kind of catchy in a weird way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clazYU8aZlQ&NR=1
  15. Dude, my best friend is a hardcore lifter and Arnold fan. He bought this movie just for the scene of Arnold doing those curls or whatever directly into the camera. It also at times makes me wonder about his sexuality at times...
  16. Oh yeah, this movie was awesome. Someone needs to change the subheading of this thread from "Set your phasers for snore" to "Holy Crap! I just pooped my pants because this film's so awesome!"
  17. That is the domestic release. For some odd reason, the BBC DVD releases are unusually high in the States. Kind of brings back memories of buying anime on VHS at $40 a pop for just two episodes. On another note, I get most of my TV series from Columbia House. They have all the new series sets at half price.
  18. God, talk about dragging a thread out of obscurity... If any are interested, the actress who played Sailor Mercury, Chisaki Hama (real name: Rika Izumi) has returned to the entertainment world after all but disappearing in 2005. She's returning as a model, actress, and singer (predictable)...
  19. If it's as ridiculous and over the top as Tokyo Gore Police, then I'm there. I loved that movie.
  20. Ooh, the name that must not be mentioned has arisen. By the way, I could have told you this movie would suck. It is Hollywood after all.
  21. I doubt that. If you recall what Caprica Six said in the miniseries, she said the old types had their uses. I doubt that Cavil would have had them put into storage. They probably would have been second class citizens compared to the newer model and the skinjobs.
  22. Considering how much bitching is going on about the current season, I wonder how much of these episodes you are complaining about were written by the previous team which got fired. Have we hit the new writers' episodes yet? And personally, I don't mind the show. Other than Battlestar Galactica and a few other shows, Heroes is still better than a lot of crap out there.
  23. Yeah, what he said!
