The Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Thread v2.0

The 2006,9,12 date you see is Noriko's birthday. She was born on September 12, 2006. The figure was fan made in 2007 and is now out of production. The figure's last appearence was at the World Hobby Festival Ariake 17 convention. -
I went as a heating and air conditioning mechanic, complete with tools and test equipment. Oh wait, I was working last night...

Not a scarf thing. That is a version of the headband Smith Toren used to mark the ladder in the game of kimo dameshi. -

Take another look at Kazumi's body. Her breasts aren't that much larger than Noriko's. Go to episode 2 where they are in the bath house. Now Jung Freud on the other hand was a very ample woman. -
The Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Thread v2.0
Noriko Takaya replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
She is not all grown up. You're not realizing that Noriko is basically the same age biologically in 2048 as she was when she went to space in 2021. Give or take one or two years due to time dilation and by the time Noriko and Kazumi are reunited in 2048 she would be around 17 or 18 biologically while legally she would be 42. So how can her boobs have sagged in that amount of time? And I doubt Noriko would have remained in the service when she returned to Earth in 14292 A.D. Her duty to God and world would be over. Keith is right. If they were going to make an exaggerated figure of Noriko, they should have done her butt also. Noriko is petite and they should have designed the new figure that way. Yeah, my geeky otaku-ness is coming out on this, but I'm such a Gunbuster nerd... -

Uh, no... Noriko's boobs should not be that big. Someone going a bit overboard on the mammaries there. I will not get this figure simply because of this. -
Dragon Ball movie rescued from dev hell?
Noriko Takaya replied to bsu legato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The only good thing to come from this movie is Ayumi Hamasaki's song Rule. -
The image is from episode 18, Pineapple Salad. It's from where Max and Milia are fighting in the ship. And yes, Akina Nakamori is quite good. In fact she is the ORIGINAL j-pop idol (That's my opinion). There was a lot of critisism when Akina's career started as her songs were considered too mature for someone her age to be singing. She has had quite a storied career too, and she is still as popular today as when she first started.

I wish they had one in her bunny outfit holding her AK-47. That's the one I want. -
They were big fans of Akina Nakamori. This screenshot shows one of the references to her in the anime:

My one and only Valkyrie Fighter. Millia's VF-1J Super Valkyrie. And below that is a close up of one of my favorite figures, Misato from Evangelion. She is armed with a HK USP45 pistol, a firearm which I actually own.

This is my somewhat modest collection of figures. I have some others, but they are still in their boxes and stored away.

This is going to sound so gay, but I cried at the end of Densha Otoko when Yamada finally confesses to Saori that he loves her. I also cried during the scenes in the movie We Were Soldiers... where Col Hal Moore's wife was bringing the telegrams to the wives of deceased soldiers who were KIA in 'Nam. That kind of stuff always gets to me.

The Heroes Season 4 Thread
Noriko Takaya replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah, I saw the preview where that goofy room mate of hers pulls right in and plants one on the kisser. Oh yeah, that's hot, and you can tell ol' Claire-bear is loving it. And not enough carnies this week. -
I kind of hate to correct you there, but the Doctor did not have a hand in the creation of UNIT. It was the deliberation of the members of the United Nations which deemed it necessary to create a military and scientific branch devoted to the investigation and repulsion of paranormal and extraterrestrial threats to the planet Earth. The one event which led to this creation was the attempted alien takeover of the city of London in the 1968 serial The Web of Fear. The second Doctor, played by Patrick Troughton. By the time the Third Doctor was exiled to Earth by the Time Lords, UNIT was already in existence as they had fought off the Cybermen (Also in 1968, with the second Doctor's help). It was then that the Doctor accepted the position of scientific advisor offered to him by Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. My screen name vauxhall3098 on Yahoo! is actually taken from the third Doctor's car Bessie. He drove a yellow Vauxhall 30/98.

This kind of reminds me of Space: 1999. The spaceship being what amounts to Moonbase Alpha shuttling along a human crew looking for a new place to settle and running into adventures on the way.
