i would go with the VF-1SRoy simply because it's more known...sure, the yellow color isn't all that but it's skull-one...and ya can't beat that

what were the prices set at? around the same as the japanese releases or a somewhat less?

I have currently just one of each...a VF-1S 1/60 and the same in 1/48 scale. The 1/48 is a little more fragile than a 1/60...but we're adults, we need to be careful with our toys ...I treat my 1/48 as an overpriced model kit sometimes parts are too stiff and you'll want to rip them apart with your manly strength. There's also a lot of gimics on the 1/48...like the radar in the nose, airbreak, and the feet slide in and out. If you're into detail and gimics then go ahead with a 1/48. My 1/60 has been transformed so many times I've literally lost count. My only complaint is the paint chipping on the legs. I feel the 1/60 is pretty well ballanced, if you put in the right pose. The only real problem I've had with mine was the small tab on the chest broke while I was changing into a different room in the house. The piece was easily repaired. I've dropped, steped on, and tripped over my 1/60...that thing is durable I would be nice if the legs didn't have to come off. I still have problems with the locking mechinism on the legs... If you really want a good representation of the VF-1 then I would suggest getting both the 1/60 and 1/48. you should really get both to really have the feel and appreciation. I can't say anything about a 1/55 but After handling my friend's 1/55 I could honestly say it's one solid toy...

what i've been wondering is if there's been more gundam evolve episodes...i've just seen the first 5...and have heard NOTHING about any others until i saw this site a few months back...

I like the SV-51 simply because it was a battle-ready variable fighter from the get-go instead of the VF-0 which was sort of "forced" into service. I think the SV-51 is a beautiful design...just not in Nora's paint scheme ...I'm sure that's one of the main reasons why people here aren't too fond of it I would rather have a cannon fodder or Ivanoff's SV-51 any day, Nora's is just too flashy for my taste.

I just can't give up on the VF-0 project...btw...could Yamato be holding out the VF-0 for the eventual release of the Macross Zero movie? BigWest can tell them to stop production on a product if they wanted it to be released with the movie, right?

there's was technically 3 Real Scale models...well 4 if you're counting the Impulse also, that's just an OK price for one of those Strikes if it's just the suit itself without any of the weapons packs...if it's $60 with the weapons packs you shoud totally go for it.

Where did you hear this news exactly? I tried looking out on MAHQ and pretty much found nothing. M0 can't exactly come over without HG tryna get their little grubby hands on it. Saddly enough, if we really want to see M0 come over to the states we might be forced to it being a Robotech prequel... I really hope that's not the case, though. This might be wishful thinking, but HG might even just sub it and be nice enough to give it to us as a SDF Macross prequel...or maybe have Manga or Bandai Visual to bring it over here now sort-of back to topic....I still want my VF-0S and VF-0D!!!

Well, they gave us the VB-6...that was a total surprise by everyone. I could be wrong, but maybe Yamato went to the drawing board with the VF-0 since it wasn't so well recieved. I don't want to call out any names or anything, but some of you guys are too picky. We should be greatful that a company like Yamato has stepped up and did the incredible job they've done thus far for Macross. Even Bandai didn't do anything. All they did was re-release their old model kits and a couple of their old toys, and did very minor resulpts of the 1/55 scale VF-1s. As much as I hate to say this, but Bandai might be our only hope if we're going to continue getting Macross goodies

it's just not right...but it happens all the time...i just wish it didn't happen at all...hopefully yamato is secretly developing another VF toy we could all enjoy...or maybe they're looking at these boards and laughing at us all. either way, we must not give up on them...we're a loyal group and will buy just about anything macross...if they make it, we will come (and buy) i know for sure i'd buy more than one VF-0...i was planning on doing so from the get-go...i wanted to try customizing my first VF
