  1. Manga is just as interesting as mecha, if not more. Which show/character are you working on?
  2. Glad you like it, MFB. It just happens that drawing is my favorite pastime. Do you like to draw? If you do, I encourage you to post something for us. Cheers!
  3. Here's one of my favorite VF-1's. I haven't time to place the stickers on the toy yet. Though it's not colored, it's a Max Super VF-1J.
  4. For a moment when I saw the first pic, I thought it's made out of a laser printer. Nice work.
  5. Thanks for the link, dyowelb. I tried it, but the site was having difficulty. I'll try again later.
  6. Thanks, Pat. Boy, I wish I knew Japanese. The instruction could be entertaining to read.
  7. Of course, if you compare the toy to the drawing, the tailfins are too small. But the drawing can be a little exaggerated to make the plane look very good. The tailfins are stored inside the lower legs for battroid mode, so I don't know if you can make them any bigger or longer without breaking the fit.
  8. It took me about 15 minutes. I wanted to be a little more productive by adding some shading to it. Yes, it's a Yammee YF-19 v1.0 ! You have one, too, I suppose? Not a bad toy for version 1.0. I think Yamato is regressing after reading recent news on the new Hiky VF-1S.
  9. Very cool Super VF-1's commercial! I watch it over and over again. Thanks for sharing it with us, Shawn.
  10. Thanks, Graham, for the info. I'm willing to wait to get a better toy since I already have one. It's not good for a company to react to fans' whim and just rush their product out.
  11. The valk looks very nice. No complaint from yours truly. If I'd only buy one, it has to be the Hikaru 1S or Roy 1S. Fortunately for me and Yamato, I'll also be buying all three variants of the 1J when they come up. Thanks for posting the pics, wasabi.

    vf-19 FP

Actually, the pilot on the new VF-11B looks really nice, probably the best looking pilot Yamato has produced for the 1/72 (or 1/60) scale.
  13. I'm one of those people. I have a display case, but it not big enough to put all my valks in. I put part of my collection in the display case and most of them stay in their boxes. Once in a while I swap those on display with those in the boxes. I have a couple of my favorite ones on top of my computer monitor at home all the time. It's interesting to see that your display case has a roof!
  14. VN and rest, IMO, the tailfins on the VF11B are not too small. They are actually ok-sized. The reason they look small is the angle at which they stick out from the back of the lower legs. If the angle from the horizontal is larger (i.e. more upright), they would have been more noticeable.
  15. Drew, Very redly nice. Millia looks really poised.
  16. How about "ich bin ein hamburger"?
  17. Kanata, sorry to hear about your situation. Wishing you the best of luck and health.
  18. Thanks for the comments, guys. Glad you like them. BoB, those are my free-hand drawings. I like to just draw with as little calculations/measurements as I can afford. That's the fun of it. Yellowlightman, those are English writings. The article paper has been stuck to the top of the scanner without me knowing it. It's a company scanner, BTW. The scanner's X-ray is too powerful. <_< MJ, will get to coloring someday. Macross_Fanboy, never thought about doing it. Thanks for reminding me. I'll try to get to it. imode, the first pic is my YF-19. It tends to look down when I have it in normal stance (spelling?). The only way I know to make the head look straight ahead is to bring the legs forward a bit. The tailfins can only fold that way.
  19. Here's another Yammie:
  20. Looks like the same scrawny arms to me. I don't see anything to complain about. The white color is nice. It might turn yellow in the future like some suggested. But being white now is more important to me. I don't plan for it to last forever. There will always be something better in the future anyway. There is nothing wrong with the red trim. That's Hikaru color for VF-1J. It's not a Roy color scheme. It may be plain to some people, but it's nice in its own way. Oh yes, the chiseled-look head is awesome. Just my opinion, folks. We all have our opinions. Otherwise, this board will be very b-o-r-i-n-g. B) B) B) B) B) B) B) B)
