You'd present it the same way you'd present a Millionaire Orphan Detective dressed as a freakin BAT! NOT saying this will be as good as Batman Begins, but if you want to break it down to simple core descriptions then Batman at it's core sounds just as cheesy. But why so much Haterade? Do you have some sort of financial investment in this project that worries you so much about it's target demographic? Far worse premises for movies get greenlit so why not Gatchaman? I'm stoked that the guys at Imagi pursued this License because they are fans. Not everyone gets to work on a franchise they are passionate about, so I applaud them for doing this. They have my 10 dollars for sure.

While I see your point about it being very costly, I completely disagree about guaranteed sales. These are core G1 Autobot characters. They couldn't sell any worse than less nostalgic reissues like Battle Convoy, Star Convoy, or Pepsi Convoy. I think as long as Takara crunches the numbers with projected sales & limits the production run it could be profitable. Just limit the first run and if it sells out do a second run. And then they could milk it with E-Hobby repaints (Mirage in Red/Marlboor Wheeljack/Red Sunstreaker/Patrol Sunstreaker). Or they could reissue the VSZ or Good Bye Convoy sets. About Hound, Blaster, Astrotrain, Blitzwing & Stepper being shelfwarmers...By that point Takara has already sold through. It's the retailers that would be hesistant about ordering a big quantity, but hopefully they learned their lesson and would order less. Blitzwing, Astrotrain and Stepper and not as common now. They may have sat at first but they get sold eventually. Hound i'm chalking up to less popularity and Blaster was the most recent Collection reissue so....

Just got back from seeing it and liked it a lot Visuals were very cool and some parts were surprisingly graphic. Reminded me a lot of Mirrormask but much much better Only complaint was they put the subtitles so low in frame peoples noggins were blocking words a lot LOL

I wasn't familiar either so did a little looking up Megs is basically the Microman/Microchange Walther P-38 U.N.C.L.E. version. I believe it was supposed to emulate the way the P-38's were dressed with add ons from the 60's show The Man from U.N.C.L.E. [attachmentid=39227] the stock looks a lot thinner and is cylindrical compared to Megatrons polygonal stock and seems mounted higher on the grip. Seems like Takara took some liberties to make the stock transform into a base/tripod. Also the barrel extension/silencer looks a little different and Megs doesn't have the extended ammo clip. so this makes me wonder...in the first episode of Transformers, when the Volcano awakens the scanning droid thing, you see him scan a Semi for Prime, an F-15 for Skwarp, but do we ever see what it scanned for Megatron? I guess it must have scanned a TV that had old re-runs of the Man From U.N.C.L.E. playing

thanks Jenius... So far from all the pics I've seen: ghost/lancer - most of what I've see are red but Totoro242 says he has them in blue and the one on the way to me has blue as well valks - red (more common) blue (less common) missles - blue (more common) green (less common)

Well, maybe we won't get a Nora schemed 51 until they make twin boosters. We might get just a plain reddish/pink 51 with no Yellow because Kawamori will say that the cannon fodder color was incorrect and it should be reddish/pink
