yeah, they do look similar The actress that plays Hana (Wireless) is Stana Katic [attachmentid=40765] The new girl is Missy Peregrym [attachmentid=40766] unless they are indeed supposed to be the same character and they changed actresses, which is possible

that was a GREAT Hour of TV. Finally a show that rewards the viewers for tuning in. I hope they can keep the momentum up and not have a 3rd season slump like Lost and to some degree Galactica. so, what's the new girls powers besides being super hot looking? And what happened to the Wireless girl? The preview for the next episode showed Nathan punch Nikki. Will the rest of the Sanders and Petrelli family get in the mix?

so Chindenathus, if America is Tomy/Takara's market, then why is JRToyworld cancelling pre-orders in the link you cited? "Even though he will be in robot mode, we have learned there will likely be pics of him in gun mode on the box, which could cause problems at customs" Now why would they put that picture if it's going to cause problems in their intended market. So, just wait for the Anniversary Megatron, if it makes it out to the states this year, as we've yet to have a stateside release of Starscream. Doktor Gonzo, the no prize was for Chindenathus, but i'm with you on what will probably end up as a Battle Damaged Megatron with a stand that has sound bites from someone who isn't Frank Welker. Make Mine Marvel....I mean Takara -

So what? My post was about putting the Picture of the gun mode on the Takara Masterpiece Megatron for the Japanese market. You're talking about the version that Hasbro's going to bring over which they'll probably call the 20th Anniversary Megatron with who knows what other changes. but if you want to argue semantics then fine, take your No Prize, I don't want it -

There's days like today when I get stoked on collecting all over again. Tlead looks awesome. The landing gear is a nice touch, hope they are diecast. The notches on the attachment point make me wonder if it can dock when the Legioss is in Soldier mode. The stylized look of the legs on the Legioss is interesting, I just hope they find a way to engineer it so that they telescope/collapse shorter in fighter mode or the arms/thrusters are going to look way too far forward. Looks like there's missle hatches in the shoulders and legs, Woohoo!

I think I mixed up CMS with Atelier Sai (didn't Atelier start what ended up as the Yamato Garland?) So how's the quality on CMS gokins? Anyone have the Ingram?

I don't understand why everyone is making such a big deal about the orange tip on Masterpiece Megatron. So many Collection 6 Megatron Reissues came into this country without some stupid mod and as soon as you open it's bookstyle casing you can see it's in Gun mode. And what about the reissue before that, in the throwback style packaging, not to mention the Black repaint and Megaplex? Those were all clearly in gun mode through the clear window. Why would Masterpiece Megatron be any different? i'm sure I'll be able to acquire one without the mod, just not from the usual vendors like HLJ, BBTS, TFSource -

Wrong...it's the people importing the toy into America NOT Takara adding the orange Tip from hobby link japan: "For customers in the United States ONLY, HobbyLink Japan will be placing a plastic orange cap over the end of the barrel in order to keep this toy in compliance with Title 15, Chapter 76 of the United States Code." from Big Bad Toy Store: In order for BBTS to legally import this item, Megatron must be modified. A blaze orange safety tip will be added to the end of barrel. This orange tip will be a custom made plastic plug that is attached to the end of the barrel. The tip will add between 1/4 and 1/2 inch in length to the end of the barrel and will not hinder the transformation between gun and robot. Without this orange tip modification, US Customs will seize any incoming shipments for this item that they discover because it does not comply with US Laws, so we are providing a legal and risk-free solution to that problem. This modification requires that all boxes will be opened, and the contents removed for modification. The factory tape seal will be cut, and some internal plastic packaging may be modified or cut. -
Holy F-in Crap! Dude, Fort Max this seriously deserves it's own thread I wonder if this is the 80's mech series Graham was referring to, aren't CM Corp and Yamato affiliates?

uhhhh....why wouldn't they? That's like getting mad at them for putting Convoy and Starscream in truck and jet modes on the boxes of MP-04 and MP-03. America isn't Tomy/Takaras market -
Oh Sh@t! I see Reideen and Deimos on there also! That would f-in rule if we got all 3 of those this year. If this is the trend, I am glad that they are returning to the 70's super robots. Cmon Bandai, give us Goshogun and Danguard Ace already too!

I found it humorous that the writers couldn't come up with a better name than "metamucen" for their made up medicine Maybe the Saggitarons weren't getting their recommended amounts of fiber -

did anyone catch the bonus scene where Helo confesses to cutting off the oxygen to the infected cylons? wonder if that was supposed to happen before Adama apologizes to him or after. also, do only enlisted couples get their own quarters? starbuck still sleeps in the barracks right? -
I doubt it, Frank and Sons is pretty much cash and carry. Oh well
-
Picked this up yesterday at Frank and Sons for $135 Took a few pictures [attachmentid=40333] [attachmentid=40334] But...I must have got a lemon, because when I was transforming it back to cruiser mode the right arm broke at the elbow. Really wish the arm joints were diecast for the price of this. Not Happy So, be real careful when bending and rotating the arms. [attachmentid=40335] [attachmentid=40336] well i took apart the busted arm piece and found what the problem was. I guess when being assembled, some glue got into the joint which seized up the part of the elbow joint that should rotate. I also noticed that all the joints on the left side of my SDF-1 are nice and tight (legs and main cannon) but on the right side the legs and main cannon are pretty loose. Hopefully this lemon was a one off and the rest of you have better luck. Buyer beware.

Wolfx, I was referring to his involvment with writing screenplays for movies. From his credits on IMDB, Hayter co-wrote the screenplay for X-Men and X2. What I'm wondering is if his dayjob is Voice Overs and he moonlights as a writer or vice versa. IMDB

I could see that, but at the least they should have Hayter involved with writing the screenplay.

Toynami Announces Masterpiece Cyclones at Toyfair
chowyunskinny replied to chowyunskinny's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I know it's a new design. That was my point is they had to come up with something on their own because they couldn't figure out how to copy and scale up the Gakken/Lansey Tread. Cyclone, I guess you are missing the sarcasm in my post. It seems like most of their products "borrow" heavily from something already established. If Imai had made a variable Tread that was compatible with their Legioss kit (which the toynami alpha seemed to be based on) then the Beta probably wouldn't be vaporware. But since the only pre-existing variable tread is the Gakken, they couldn't do it (different scale, Tread was a toy, Legioss was a model, both by different companies). But whatever, you posted exactly my point when you said "the Toynami Tread seemed to be a totally new design. Perhaps that's a clue to why it didn't work out..." -

maybe because they can't figure out how to copy the Gakken/Lansey Tread and scale it up to make it work with their MPC Alpha
