Good deal, congrats on the find. The only real anime store left here, Creature Zone, isn't as resourceful. During my quest I mentioned the new Sega line and he had no idea what I was talking about. Needless to say I don't go there much. G-Sentry was better but they're closing.

I always enjoy reading articles like this about future-stuff-in-work/being-toyed-with. This time it's future weapons, including a nice blurb on laser cannon progress. Also of interest, though slightly in the odd department, is a orbital platform with huge tungsten rods that can be dropped on targets from orbit. Perfect for leveling buildings and bunkers. Anwway the laser piece: They are even eyeing it on our new aircraft. I saw something before while I was in the air force about a "Directed Energy Weapon" for the F-22. Not many details though, just listed in a future weapons section of a weapon directory from the Ammo Dump. It would be uber sweet if that were true. JSF is mentioned above too. May compenate for no internal gun if it can eventually zap something. Here's the full article: Popular Science Article

The spurs guy looks like he's in agony.

Looks like I should be getting the movie book.

I'd say they needed those to get to orbit. Much better than the original booster at least. The VF-1;s on the flightline would have been upgraded with the X specs by then, but even if it could reach orbit without boosters it couldn't hurt to have them to get to orbit quickly. Atmospheric combat would have been a secondary consideration for Zola's defense force, they needed to get to orbit quickly against the poachers or if some other baddie shows up they have to contend with. The fast packs would also be of benefit in space obviously. If they had to aerial dogfight, they could just dump the packs.

Any one else notice that the 3 tallest guys were the ones that died? Roy, Kakizaki, Guld. If Global was a pilot, he'd be next.

I can only hope and wish that were so. -

And End of Eva, unfortunately. Sucks that it was them, and the resulting issues with the releases, but at least we got it finally. After they dragged their heels for two years. I really do hope their new parent company sees how worthless they are and pulls the plug. They do unfortunately have a stake in GitS:SAC, so they'll get some survival cash from that. -
They probably just changed the face on purpose in that "eye-wipe" part to make it look like a new Fire valk in that moment.

New Gundam FIX and ZEONOGRAPHY on the way...

I'd buy that for a dollar. -
Looks kind of interesting actually, with the more elint-type head on that VT-1C frame.

So far doesn't look so bad. I'm more interested in the ride armor than the legoiss anyway, so no problem with me if its Mospeaeda's only. -
This season's arc has really beena vast improvement over the last two. I really like some of the cast in this show, especially Trip and Phlox's characters. Good stuff, it'd be a shame to see it go. Even in the first two seasons I liked it better than Voyager. DS9 still rocks though. Thank goodness it's on Spike finally. It's the only Star Trek show I am actually willing to buy the seven seasons of eventually. I missed Enterprise on Wednesday this week I have to make sure I take it on Saturday. If they do cancel it, they can wait two or three years and then give it another try. Hopefully. Then come back with something new. Get back to new exploration, like we talked about a while back about future story ideas. Even though some people mentioned the M7 parallel, the idea of an expeditionary fleet with multiple starships through the gamma quadrant would rock IMO. A galaxy or sovereign at the center, a couple defiant-classes, couple Prometheus-classes, few new-model science vessels. Maybe a couple romulan ships. Would be cool. I do hope Enterprise gets a fair shake after this season though, it deserves at least one more, given it's ratings have gone up this season.

Great news, looks like I'll be able to score a M+ Movie book soon finally, and I shall flip through it and scan it immedately once I get it. We shall then see what we can come up with based off of that and what I have already.

Same photo as before.

This is why we back up everything. With well over a 100 gig's worth or stuff on my PC, I make damn sure to back up everything. Just Inu-Yasha takes up over 20. Helps me in the long run too so I can take shows I've already seen off of the PC and get the gigs back. I even have a 2nd back-up of a few series just in case. DVD+R's are wonderful things.

Damn, Kakizaki was bigger than Guld, too. And global was 1 cm shorter.

How about image cented on the top, with the title below, and a smaller blue pyramid logo (1/2 of the existing size) above?

Good thing VF's have a lot of room. He'd never fit in an F-16. A tall stature befitting as cool a character as him. Guess the height of the CM figure isn't off at all then. He towers over everyone.

I know that. But are you dead sure these are sega figures? Cause I can't find them under sega in HLJ. That would be because the desk figures are discontinued. You have to do the advanced search to see them along with the other Segas at HLJ. Hobbby Serarch has them all listed by default as well, even though thy are of course sold out there as well. They have better pictures too. Run a search for Evangelion there.www.1999.co.jp/eng

What exactly are these? Gashapon or trading figs? 15-20cm figures. PVC statues basically. Range from 1/8 to 1/6 scale I guess give or take. The gasaphons are tiny, you can see 3 of them next to the china dress figures in my group pic above. Just to avoid confusion, I was talkin about the school desk figures. You sure they are the big ones and not the small ones? I think I saw a picture of them on the Jap toy boards and they were gashapon/trading figure size. The majaority of Sega's figures are in the size range that I mentioned hovewring around 20cm, occasionally a little bigger. Some are smaller, around 14cm, like the upcoming 3 packs. Since they are sitting, the desk figures are 8 cm high. Not big, but nicely detailed. You definately get your money's worth with the original prices the eva figures go for. Once it goes e-bay only, then you get gouged.

$67?! ouch! Yesanime has them for $25 per set and they are on preorder. As for the Rei Ayanami & Asuka Grimlock! Mix Edition YesAsia.com has them for $37.99 preorder. You getting them Anubis? Nah, I don't think I'm getting the Grimrock figures. They are pretty good though. Gotta ask though: What the heck is that wrapped around Rei's leg? Thew China Dress figures are becoing pretty scarce. NCSX was the only online store I saw that had them in stock, and on ebay they cost more than that, before shipping.

The Misato is a $90 resin statue. I want a good Misato, so I'm willing to cough up some green for her. Especially a pre-painted one (some assembly required). They are in stock now as of Friday, and I'm waiting for my peorder to ship. I'm not sure how long to give them before I politely remind them about my order. Misato is my favorite from Eva, and I've been waiting for a good completed statue of her that I could afford. The China Dress figures I got from NCSX for 67 shipped. Last time I looked they were both still in stock too.
