Like I said before, I love seeing the No Photo signs. They are always there, and there are always pics. Why do they bother?

I love my Minmay statue. It is very very well made. I would love to see a Sailor Minmay and Unformed Misa make their way into statues like that. I wonder if the Minmay sold well enough for there to be any interest from the people who made that one. An Ishtar would be great too, but I know that one's reaching a little.

Stamp of Approval given. Very nicely done.

"Rump-rangers" probably didn't help either. -
Doesn't look like there's a gear built in from this one here. That's why I think it comes with some form of rudimentary stand. Look at the simple thing propping up the nose. A similar part seems to be propping up the back end. A cheap way to satisfy the shuttle crowd and not complicate the sculpt any. Kind of smart given the nature of the VB-6. Where on the bottom is the gear supposed to go anyway? Without the froating head to dictate that, this is the easy solution. I doubt Yamato would have been allowed to just pick a spot for a landing gear. They had to get approval just to do the collapsing gunpods on the VF-1's. My theory at least.
-
Bless you Monkey!!! It really is the VB-6, and painted to boot! It's huge too, easily matching a 1/48 VF-1. Look at it, then look at Millia's 1/48, then look at it again. Looks great, the brown does seem a little off, but overall looks great. Maybe they'll adjust the paint tone since this is just a painted proto. Thye did fix Max's paint job after all. I will buy at least two. I don't see a thing wrong with the sculpt in shuttle mode so far. I am curious about the landing gear as well. I don't remember seeing lineart for the gear anywhere in it's design works section. Even if there is no built in gear on the toy maybe it will just come with a rudimentary stand for shuttle mode. It would save on worrying about the gear sculpt and how it would affect the transformation. It would be understandable in this instance because a) there is no gear lineart, and b) it could complicate the already complex structure of the mecha worrying about the landing gears. Mine's going in the air on an acrylic stand (when I display the second one, first one's in gerwalk of course) so it's not really a big deal for me if there is no built in gear, especially if it helps the overall sculpt. Can't wait for gerwalk and destroid mode pics. Now where's my f$#%*$ YF-19?

Damn dude! You're gonna sacrifice a Mac+ Movie Book?! No wonder why you have an angry Asuka as your avatar That takes balls, man. I might be able to save your book, though. I recently won a yahoo jp auction for th R2 Macross Plus box sets. They've got some really sweet artwork that I'd love to scan, but I don't know when I'll recieve them. If you want to take a peek, here's the auction. Please note you need a yahoo jp account to view completed auctions. Or, maybe some kind soul here with a yahoojp account can post the images. edit: Sadly, I don't think Paul Champagne's box set is designed the fit the R2 boxes, so I doubt I'll be buying one. Sweetness! It'll be a little bit before I get the book yet. Hopefully those R2's will have some good stuff like you said as well. We shall see. What's important is we now have enough sources on the way to get the pics we need to finish this quest. I hope no one though I was really mad in the above post. (hence the )

huh? are you asking when do these hit the streets? Well they are already out by takara, but the hasbro versions are slated to come out pretty soon, this month as a matter of fact. According to this list: Release dates I meant the Hasbro ones. I heard this month but didn't know when. Guess I'll keep checking Wal Mart and Target at least once a week. -

The shade of blue used in this one loks about right to me based on the couple seconds it's in DYRL.

The -17 looks a lot less toyish the the -19 fire valk does, but it still has some toy syndrome on it. It's a thicker in fighter mode than it should be and in battroid the knees don't bend like they should (only the direction they bend in gerwalk). I still like my Bandai VF-17, and considering it's the only of it's kind, I love it. for sale cheap at Gundam Store and More.com.

After you rotate the chest plate up. you pull the cockpit up and there's a little slot on the end of the cockpit that the tab in the chestplate slides into as you lower it.
-
Oh, yeah? How many times did I have to ask for real contributions over this timeframe? It's in my signature even! Now I'm buying a M+ book so I can scan it, sacrificing the book in the process. Grrr.
-
No offence, but can you honestly not figure out it's transformation just from looking at it? It's very easy. Put the legs into gerwalk stance, move the arms, slide the legs forward, rotate legs, open the chest, rotate head, fold backpack and wings.

Fighting for my life against 6 A-wings in a Tie Bomber is part of the fun of tie fighter. (I won that fight of course.) Actualy using that manuverability to your advantage in a Tie Interceptor was great. Then you got the new limited run uber-ties and it was gravy as you layed waste to x-wings en masse. The game gave you all the training you needed to be an ace. It's a benchmark that all space sims should have looked to. It and WC3. X-wing Alliance I didn't care for. The BS family plot missions killed the enjoyment for me. I miss that golden era. Shame Wing Commander has faded to nothing as well. Prophecy was pretty good, but it needed it's sequels to beef up the story and new designs. What came through that gate in WCP was supposed to be a Nephilim scout party with older designs (that's what I remember reading at least). Back to star wars space sims, if it's not better than Tie Fighter, I'm not touching it. What this space add on sounds like is comparable to the arcade game. The gamecube games didn't do much for me either.

Now he tells us I'll take the one with the dark hair and the costume on while you tke them with the costume on, i'll take them with the costume off. Four good points indeed. Hotties all 4 of the are. Especially the blue one on the right, and the dark purple one. The mecha on the other hand look like the lower tier rejects from G-Gundam.

"It's a rescue mission, you'll love it. There are some juicy colonist daughters we have to rescue from their virginity." Seriously though, I wonder how repressed their kids will be, or will the couple become instant hippies and make sure their kids are not repressed like they were. Be very interesting to follow up with this couple in ten years.

I have the flightline wallscroll. Great scroll. GSentry, the local anime store that's closing has (had?) a few in stock. If you're in the MD/DC area, should be easy. Anime Castle also has them available online, along with a few others. Good pricing as well. http://www.animecastle.com/macrosswallscrolls.html

I like this one Macross (top) 20 (left middle) 04 (right middle) World (bottom). If all else fails we could take the quick and easy path: Keep the logo as is, and then add the "Macross World 2004 20th Anniversary Box" or something like that off to the side of the logo, if the image proves too difficult to work with. Working the logo would look best though.
