Official Transformers Alternators and more thread.
Anubis replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Dead End looks so badass. Also, BBTS has Alternator Silverstreak in stock. Can't be much longer until it spreads. -
As of yesterday they did still have them in stock if anyone else wanted one.

I will see this movie. Pitch Black was surprisingly good. Reprising the character is a good idea IMO.

Yeah, this is the one. Hobby Fan's version at least. There are some kits from hobby fan that you can order pre-painted. A lot of them are hentai statues, but there are also a lot of regular ones too. link Some other garage kits have an option for them to assemble and paint it for you. They seem to do quite good work over there. Very reasonable pricing too for resin kits.

All I can say is...wow. This statue is awesome, and for me is well worth the 90 bucks it cost. Especially for being painted so good, it could have commanded more. The color and detail are excellent, the sculpt is dead on perfect IMO, and it comes with a little cross necklace to put around her neck. This is EXACTLY the kind of Misato statue I have wanted for a long time. It's gorgeous. I love it. I wouldn't mind a Plug Suit Rei and Asuka from these guys to go with it. I'm tempted to pick up the pre-painted Lacus they have available, but she's over a hundred, so she's out of budget for the next few months before I can consider her. Misato feels solid, and given her pose she is quite stablily balanced. I have not glued her to the base at this time. Don't know if I'm going to either. At first I thought the white base looked odd when I pulled it out of the box, but it works with this statue. Recommended. I know I'll order from Hobby Fan again as well. Before the Misato pics, I do have to show the surprising packaging on this thing. Very well done. Almost excessive.

There was absolutely no color whatsoever on the Tallgeese III 1/144 kit. Maybe the blue intakes, but that was it if those were in there at all (don't remember for sure). All that was in there were a couple white parts runners, a sticker for the head antenna, and a sticker for the shield. Piece of crap. The cheap non-HG Seed kits have more detail than that did. -
Yeah, I'm not going to be adding my pic now.

My hobby fan pre-painted Misato arrived today. Awesome. Pics to come in separate thread not to steal Sam's.

i have to paint the wings on my 1/100 HG freedom too BANDAI NEEDS TO STOP BEING LAZY!! i don't mind paying a few extra bucks just so everything will be molded in color! because...PAINTING SUCKS!!! especially when you hate doing it!! The wings need to be painted on the 1/100, too?!? That's just lazy. You would think the 1/144 HG Seed kits would be on level with the HGUC kits, and the 1/100 a step up from there. The 1/100's are still better than Gundam Wing's 1/100's for example, but the news of Freedom's wings stinks. The only 1/100 I built was the Aile Strike, which I gave to my brother after I got the Metal Material. I guess it's a good thing the only other Seed kits I want are the Providence and the Astray. Maybe the Strike Rouge w/ IWSP, but we'll see. At least MG kits are trickling out. If they make a MG Providence I'll be happy. The worst HG kit EVER will always be the 1/144 Talgeese III. All white, no color whatsoever. My brother was pissed when he opened that up. So was I. -
The "autoslide" from wing commander. Always loved that one. Strafe the hell out of a ship, and then kick out in whetever direction you want. The Star Furies in Babylon 5 looked like they could do it too. The SDF-1 had to transform to Storm Attack to connect the power relays. M7 It just wasted time. By the time it took to separate, transform, charge the cannon, and fire, the fleet should have taken more damage than it did. It's useful to aim the cannon in every direction while you fly in the heading ou want, but realistically it wouldn't seem necessary due to actual space physics. This would entail a LOT of thrusters though to have a quick turn radius though. M7 could easily have been designed to just open up the bow and fire like the SDF-1 was supposed to. If it wasn't for the power relay problem, the Macross crew never would have bothered developing the storm attack mode. Because the original ship transformed, the new M7 ship had to. That's about the only reason.

I'd imagine a series 3 would have either Isamu or Myung (hopefully both), maybe a casual attire Misa (possible after seeing the desk Minmay), and maybe Max. Possibly Gamlin, Sivil, or Ray for M7. We're already getting the Millia 3-pack so I doubt she'd appear in the line. Not max in series 3 either if he gets a 3-pack later as well. Captain Max and Mayor Milia would be cool.

Which toy have you own or know as being the most

Add a Smokescreen vote for me too. Getting it into robot was fairly easy, but getting it back into car was a pain in the butt to get it lined up right. I was afraid to death the first couple of times I transformed my VF-11B FP that I would break the shoulders. MP Prime I had no problem with. Pretty easy actually. Escaflowne was hard to get used to. The last time I went from Dragon to Guymelef I did it without the instructions though. It's much sturdier than it looks. May get a second one to leave in dragon. The Kahen Senshi Zeta I have was an extreme pain to transform too. Once I build my PG Zeta, the KS will go in wave rider next to it. -
Well, now. A bit of a surprise. According to Neova's preorder thread they are still on track for the end of the month. Kewl.

Cool. I'll still build the HG 1/144 Freedom I bought though as a painting experiment before I build my SDF-1 kits and PG Zeta. The HG 1/144 kind of has to be painted because the wings are molded all blue, without the black parts, and the top cannons are all white, again withough the black part. No yellow antennae either. They were kind of cheap on molding this one by HGUC comparison. I can see buying a MG Freedom later in the summer though, especially if it comes with a stand like the Aile Strike did. -
Can't put details on the inside of the box. It would be interesting, but it's just a sturdy core underneath the panels.

Yes Misa does kind of get the shaft when it comes to kits. Even now that we are graced with the CM figure, she's got green spray on the uniform. A nice 1/6 or even 1/8 completed Misa would be great. Only option is a Arii Misa PVC but I have never come across a completed one.

I'll take a link, please!

Looks like the CM figure. I'll keep the statue I got from Tam.
