The site is Hobby Search. I built the HG Freedom 1/144 and it was craptactular. I can't believe they didn't even include stickers for the black parts of the wings. A great injustice to the mecha. I painted the whole kit as a painting experiment, and tried to paint the wing black whrere they should be. Didn't do very good, but from a distance it looks all right I guess. Very Disappointing especially since we know Bandai can do better. The Providence I built was an outstanding kit. Up there with any HGUC model. There were only 2 stickers included with the kit (green lens for the shield and the eyes) and that was all that was needed. The shield had the blue parts molded, there were grey shoulder cannons, the head was fully molded, even the blue piece at the center of the backpack was a piece, not a sticker. Makes me look at the Freedom model and feel cheated. You can tell they deliberately saved the good molding for the Master Grade, and gave out crap for the other versions. I don't know how the other seedkits are, but I was planning a strike rouge IWSP, an M1 Astray (if and when they make it in HG), and maybe the Red Frame Astray. Don't really want anything else. Anyone get the Astray in 1/144 HG? How was that kit? I might get the MG Freeedom, but it won't be for a while. I was hoping they would do a metal material of the Freedom to go with the Aile Strike, but having a stand with the MG Freedom sounds pretty nice. We'll see. So the MSIA Freedom was a POC? I was considering one of those when it gets reissued to replace the HG Freedom I built. It looks a lot better, thouh the shield is a little too big. BTW: Remember, the Seed Mobile Suits are still smaller than the UC suits. Just like the other alternate series. That's why the models are smaller.

No, a SEED sequel is still only an unconfirmed rumour at this stage. As for another new UC series, unfortunately it sounds like that's true. Hmph......... a UC hater, besides it`s better to have a new UC show than always a new AU show that borrows alot form UC shows. Seed 2 is not a rumor. Seed was intended to be a new branch off point. What will comprise Seed 2 is unknown (same characters or not, etc.) though there is supposed to be an article about it in the near future in one of Japan's anime magazines.

Look at the destroid mode, the cannons are pretty long indeed. Probably just a perspective thing in the gerwalk pic.

I saw these at the remaining Anime shop here. Good sculpt, decent/iffy paint job, big stautes, but pricey to go with the size. They do look kind of bootleggish to me, or just cheaply mass produced.

Great news, The M+ Movie book arrived yesterday. Special thanks to the Monkey for finding it for me. Quite a few box-quality pics on it, the few from before are still comparable to these so they may yet be on some of the next designs. A lot of the ones Vibayo put are in there too, so I may do something with some. I will scan what I can this week (not going to worry about the spine, I can crease it to get the pics out, the cover will cover up the spine, so no worry for me. I was ready to cut the book, but it looks like I may not have to after all. Then I'll see what designs I can work out, and also put the pics I get in the test forum so others can work with them too. There are also a lot of small pics that would make great avatars, I'll scan some of those pages too. Summer Session I begins Tuesday. Class Monday-Thursday 5:30PM-9:15 or so. As a result between that and my PG Zeta I may get backed up in getting the stuff up here, but I will do my best.

I would buy an R1 with good subs and clean video in a heartbeat. Same principle with End of Eva from Manga. I hate Manga with a passion, but they had what I wanted in that instance. Doesn't matter to me if it's HG or not, as long as the release is handled properly. That's what matters.

There should be no surprise, Yamato said from the beginning that it would fit ALL the 1/60 VF-1's except the D, VE, and VT. It looks great. Can't wait for mine. My only gripe is the valk can't hold the gunpod using the tv hands.

Yes! Thank you for this post! That is oh so true. One F-16 problem is easily apparent to those who worked on it: the damn cockpit. You lose a screw in an F-15 or A-10 odds are you can get it out at the most by having Egress raise the seat. F-16 you have to raise the seat and tilt the rails, and more often than not have to take the seat and canopy off. It can be a royal pain to work in that cockpit at times, with it's cramped and disorganized nature under those boxes. Add in the comm matrix behind the seat rails and you have a lot of maintenance to do in there. We got a jet out of rebuild (which became the new wing king's jet), 2137 or something like that. Damn comm matrix kept failing it's checks or sputtering out, don't remember what the exact problem was, maybe electrical, but we kept that thing coming apart and back topgether so often. If the thing were easier to get to, the jet would have had astronomically lower down time. FOD: Every time someone loses a screw or a pin or some other crap that they can't find F-16: Raise/tilt the seat - 30 minutes Wait 2 hours for the FOD search. Seat/Canopy removal so crew chief can search better- 1 hour with Hill's awesome overhead hangar cranes. Little longer with regency crane. Seat incoming - up to an hour Canopy incoming - up to an hour. wait hours for the jet to be cleared and signed off Seat/Canopy install, 7-level inspection - 1 1/2 hours A-10: Raise Seat - 30 minutes wait an hour or so to be called back Lower seat - 30 minutes. Final insp - 20 minutes. The F-16 is a great Jet, it does it's job, but there are several thing in there that make you scream who designed this crap. The A-10 is a much simpler bird for a lot of shops. If the JSF can do most or all of what the F-16 can do with easier maintenance, then kick ass. One of the hallmarks of the F-22 supposedly that I read before was that there were only going to be so many screw and nut sizes to mess with on the airframe. No more 20 different heads in the toolbox necessary. Why the hell would you use 3/32 instead of a damn 1/4 nut? We used every size from 3/32" all the way to 1 1/2". Simplifying how many tools you need alone is so good, and was supposed to carry over to the JSF as well. Anyone know if this holds any truth to it? Any F-16 horror stories I have heard or seen pale in comparison to F-14 horror stories though. Ease of maintenance is a big deal, if a jet can get through it's maintenace faster and get in the air, that is a huge help, and cost saver. That was supposed to be one of the goals of these programs, especially the JSF. It was supposed to make parts so much easier to get if the the AF, Navy, and Marines were using the bird. The volume would also lower the price. All in theory of course.

The pic they saw was just a fan art and this news has been revealed on a couple of TF message boards. So no Wheeljack yet! Originally. It was supposed to air on TV first as well as get its box set release. The english gundam official website was updated with the Zeta information as well. Then they decided to push Seed first and get the new flashy show out, then deal with Zeta after that push began. The Zeta Box was pushed to fall earlier this year. Guess they wanted to catch Seed while it was hot. Seed 2's starting in the fall may have helped with the bump as well.

That did severely bug me too. At least those few existing Earth ships should have bene on guard duty, and our dear Vulcans should have had the LOGICAL decency to send a few ships to help stand guard given the fact that they knew a death star was potentially on the way. Hell, some Nuclear Missle Sattellites would be nice for defence. A defense grid like Earth had in Babylon 5. No fleet directly around the planet, but a nice orbital defense grid. I hope we see some Romulans soon, they would make a great main antagonist, and at least see the build up towards the war against them. No more time travel. Enough using that damn plot device as a crutch. At least use the Kningons as a problem again. The Breene, naussicans, someone. Just no more time travel. They have a lot of actual space they need to travel.

Very nice paint scheme, good price cut, but still don't think I'll be getting one. Just want a green one in addition to the red. A gold one (from the Meltran chick in M7 encore) would have been nice too, but the M7 license issue kills that one.

Awesome!!! I like the scorched effect, and the silver logo on top with the 1s artwork. Man, both of these came out absolutely perfect. Great stuff. All the work really paid off with these. Now let's see what we can do with the M+ box once my book arrives.

I love the box design. I'm happy to see it early, last I read they were hinting fall for Seed. Zeta should still be early fall. Haven't seen anything about that changing. As for the Model Kits, I built the HG Providence 1/144 and it was a great kit, up there with any of the HGUC kits. Even the little shoulder cannons had their own parts, and the shield only had one sticker on it for the green lens, everything else was properly molded. Two stickers actually for the enitre kit: the eyes, and the green lens. It seems the Freedom Kits sucked on purpose . There was no reason for the HG 1/144 and 1/100 to have solid blue wings (stickers on the 1/100 for the black part of the wings, nothing for the 1/144 HG). They saved the actual black parts for the 1/60 and the MG. That was cheap of them. I refuse to touch the cheap 6 dollar ones. They look like serious crap. The HG's though are generally quite good these days. I picked up the HG freedom at Target a couple weeks ago, used it as an expendable painting experiment, and got another one after to do the right way. I'll eventually get a Strike Rouge w/ IWSP and a M1 Astray.

I think she looks pretty good there. Though I have yet to see Masters or SC.

I'm having Hirogen flashbacks personally. Voyager exhuasted the WWII quota. The Eugenics war would have been cool. Something new, and they could have used a young Khan. That would have been good viewing. They have well exceeded the time travel quota in this show. They need to use something else. Explore, pick a fight with another race. Invade Betazed. Something. No more time travel after this. No more future guy pulling Archer aside and telling him stuff. Archer doesn't listen to him anyway, so the guy should take a hint a leave Archer alone.

No no, the manga explicitly shows you that it was not Misato that shot Kaji. It was a gloved hand with a sighted revolver. Random agent, or could even have been Gendo. We'll know when Gendo shoots Ritsuko, and see what gun he uses. The manga version is awesome. There are tons more character development in the manga. They talk to each other more. Even Rei is starting to open up to Shinji some. Lots of good character moments. Which is what the show is really about IMO: the characters. How they deal with themselves and with each other through all the chaos of the defeating the angels backdrop. The only thing that was news to me in thise tidbits above was Yui's being a daughter of a Seele member. Which is interesting to learn, and easily explains her involvement with that group from as young as she was. They never say any names of the others outside of Kiel, and only show a couple of them during the "instrumentality commitee" meetings. Remember, Yui was more the driving force of the project in the beginning, beyond Gendo. She was by no means innocent in her involvement. Yes, like said above, Gendo's original purpose was just as Seele planned, for power. After Yui's "accident" his focus shifted towards being with her again, and third impact was his avenue to facilitate that, so he modifed Seele's plan to get what he wanted. His intent on embedding Adam into his hand was to then to fuse with Rei, and then Lilith. So there would have been a Lilith-Gendo basically, instead of Lilith-Rei. Thankfully Rei caught him by surprize and directed 3rd impact herself, and would give Shinji the choice ultimately on what would happen from there. As for the Rei/Kaworu thing Rei is derived from a combination of Yui and Lilith. This way she can act as a bridge to join Adam and Lilith together. The keymaster so to speak. She has her own AT field like Kaworu, though she herself isn't aware of what she can fully do. Before Rei II self destructs unit 00, the angel tells her she is afraid of what her true form actually is. That if things continue, will she be able to remain human. A key fear for her. Kaworu is similar to her, but born from Adam instead on 2nd impact as the 17th, and was in Seele's keep. Seele's Eva-05 series ran off of dummy plugs based on him.

It would most likely come through ADV would be my guess since that's who HG is most closely affiliated with. Could be Pioneer. It won't be Mangle, so that's all that matters to me.
