Did anybody get the Escaflowne diecast figure?
Anubis replied to Panzer's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
My only real gripe about the escaflowne figure is the plastic cape. Ugly, and it weighs down the shoulders. Coth would have netted it an A in my book, withoutit I give the toy a B. Still nice detail, and a very cheap price. Dragon looks cool if you have the space for it. I might get a second one day for that purpose if the price is right. -

So how is the Alternator Meister's White quality? Is the car painted white, or is it just bare white plastic as well? -
To those who paid 200 for a 1S Roy: HAW HAW. Knew they'd make more.

If you really want an experience: Watch something fluffy, and then in a couple of weeks tackle Eva again. In two halves maybe. Everything you might have missed the first time again may hit you, you'll see "that's what he was talking about" and other nuances throughout. Good stuff. The second time you can savor the characters building themselves up, some actually making some strides, and then have everything crash down. There's a loit of depth behind many characters. Read the manga as well. Expands the character angles wonderfully.

Once again: I would buy one in a heartbeat. It's the only other VF-1 I want in 1/48 outside of the two I already have. I just wish they'd do it already.

Gunota found this through some hobbynet searching. Looks like Yzak might have his own custom Slash Zaku Phantom, with a beam scythe. Seems to speak a little for the performance of the Zaku Phantoms if he has this over the Duel. I expected him to show up with the Duel at some point personally as well as Buster, since both made it through Seed intact (well, repairable at least in Buster's case).

N2 mines (no fallout nuclear-type weapon), Photon Torpedoes, and Warp Drive. Sweet. Now where's the update on the Directed Energy Weapon for the F-22?

Whatever happened to the cockpit mock-up that Paul was supposed to do?

Nice, where did the left flight pics come from? Never seen those.

I also don't have time for the PC or GC games I have alone. New handheld holds no interest for me.

Was there some rumor before about a new Trans-shift Armor? I never heard that rumor before, that's what this seems to be dispelling. Just regular phase shift like usual. According to MAHQ, it's listed as Trans-Phase, and it's the second-gen Phase Shift armor, used on Calamity, Raider, and Forbidden. With Trans-Phase, the PS effect only activates at the point of impact, conserving power. It's how the EA crammed so many energy weapons into those three units, and why they're never seen PS down. They're actually painted in those colors. I suppose ZAFT hasn't stolen that tech yet. Cool, I haven't read that before. Makes sense actually, since Zaft never had any access to those 3.

Synopsis of Seed Destiny Episode 1: Aparrently there was a Destiny premiere event a number of people were admitted to. One question I have is from this Was there some rumor before about a new Trans-shift Armor? I never heard that rumor before, that's what this seems to be dispelling. Just regular phase shift like usual. And Gilbert seems to have some plans under the table already. This might speak volumes. The episode is actually going to air on the 9th.

Finally, here it is from Gunota: No Sword or Launcher Pack, maybe in a second package later I guess? 5000 yen isn't bad there for the Grasper and Aile, though I would have rather have had the 3 weapon sets come together, and the sky grasper separate. -
That's closer to 1/60 it would seem. Definately in between 1/60 and 1/48 though.

A GM is by design a very simple mobile suit, so a model of it is also simple to produce. 6 bucks sounds about right, or about 10 imported stateside. Same as the Z-Gok HGUC. Simple cheap kit, but looks great. -

Actually it looks like there's no skygrasper with this one. If anything it'll probably come with the eventual Strike Pack Set. They said this on Gunota not long after the Sky Grasper theory was first issued. I hope the markings on the Ball are dry transfers. Looks good. -
The Jan release is the sitting at the desk version, so that's what's there now. "Clean up" is in feb, so that preorder should show up soon too.

Can someone tell me what movie the song during the credits came from? I think that was Pirates of the Carribean tool.

My favorite is still Dark Helmet - "Careful you idiot! I said across he nose not up it." Gunner - "Sorry sir doing my best." Dark Helmet - "Who made that man a gunner?" Major - "I did sir, he's my cousin." Dark Helmet - "Who's he?" Col. Sanders - "He's an a-hole sir." Dark Helmet - "I know that, what's his name." Col. Sanders - "That is his name sir a-hole, Major a-hole." Dark Helmet - "What about him?" Col. Sanders - "He's an a-hole too sir. Gunners Mate 1st Class Phillip a-hole." Dark Helmet - "How many a-holes we got around here anyhow?" The entire bridge crew stands up "Yo!" Dark Helmet - "I knew it I'm surrounded by a-holes." Flips down the mask, "Keep firing a-holes!" I love that movie. Next best is "I'm the bearded lady, who are you one of the freaks?"

Mel Brooks let this out during a Producers interview: All I can say is sweet. Spaceballs is one of my all time favorites.

CSI is always a favorite, at least the Las Vegas show. Awesome. As for Miami: Can't stand Caruso, didn't like Miami at all, much poorer cast. I do really want to see NY though, haven't been able to yet. Two and a Half Men, Still Standing, and George Lopez are the only three sitcoms I make any effort to see, love those shows. Good casts, funny, and don't push the annoyance factor too much, unlike According to Jim, which I enjoy sometimes, but they get too annoying at times. I really liked Raymond for a while, but now that show annoys me too. Iron Chef simply rocks. Whenever I can catch it, I watch it. Monk was awesome too. Great cast, and Tony does really well there. I really enjoy that show. Funny stuff, with good ol' detective work. I'll tape Enterprise and do my best to keep up with it this season, though I'm not expecting too much out of it, I'm hoping at least they'll make it an enjoyable final(?) season. That's about it. I don't get to watch much TV between work, school, and going out (my anime dvd viewing backlog is enormous). There's just a whole bunch of crap on these days so I know I'm not missing much. I refuse to watch reality TV. I do watch CN a lot at night (Teen Titans and some of Adult Swim on weeknights), I also hit History Channel, Fox News, and CNN when I can, usually while I do my internet browsing/downloading. I'm gonna start taping JL:U.
