The had at least enough to create a Zero sqd. Why the Alliance set off a Cyclopes while they were still in range is far beyond me. Maybe they knew it wouldn't be too long till they got replacements. Visions of a n-jammer-canceller funnel wielding squad of newtype mobile suits vs the Minerva crew dancing in my mind. That would be uber-sweet. You know Neo at least is going to have one later on. He can't stay in that Mobile Armor forever. More would be nice though as well.

I'm definately going to play through the first one again with HL: Source. Last time I played it beginning to end was back with my old laptop that had a PII 233Mhz and 2 MB Video Memory. I had a bit of slowdown in Opposing Force Never got around to replaying the game fully after I built my desktop. I bought Blue Shift but never even got around to installing it. Source will be a whole new experience for me. Half-Life special edition then on to the grand sequel. When I someday hav the time to do it. I'll buy the game from Steam to same some money, but I know deep down it will stay unplayed for some time, taunting me for a while. That's why I haven't bought Doom 3 yet (though it is on my Christmas list).

Here's a shape shifting robot that can roll, walk, or slither depending on how it's modules link up. Wicked.

I'd say not, since the three haven't exhibited any Newtype-like traits, being a Newtype doesn't not grant one the ability to use Coordinator level mobile suits (remember Mu as a Newtype had no ability to use a mobile suit until Strike was equipped with an Orb made Natural OS) and that nobody in the SEED universe actually knows of the existance of Newtypes. The theories are still floating around though (the S.E.E.D. theory which was spreading), and these kids might be attempts to bring some of those traits to the surface. The orb doctor isn't the only one studying it. The potential is known for a natural evolution step, and it could be one of the BC's cornerstones. Knowing there's a natural step for humanity fast approaching, which is being infulenced and attention being diverted away from by the artificial coordinators. The last piece implies there were more guys with Mwu's potential, just not many. The Seed theory (and in turn Newtypes) are being researched, and some early forays into tech and tinkering with people are sure to have already started. They have to be enhancing the kids for a purpose. If they wanted simple enhancement they'd just use coordinators. There's more under the surface. Human CPU (psycommu link?), Kira and Athrun agreeing the 3 crazies weren't coordinators, but not human either. Hopefully some of these loose threads will be addressed properly in this series finally.

On the other hand though, though three might not be Naturals. They're certainly linked to what ever project created the three junkies, and Athrun and Kira agreed that those three weren't Naturals. And we don't know what kind of OS was in Calamity, Raider, and Forbidden. So we can't exactly say those guys can't use a standard Coordinator OS. My money stays with artificial newtype experiments.

mach 9.7 with no rotating engine parts. Awesome.

It's only been a few days so far probably. A few really busy days. Thanks to Ep. 5, we can see that the Girtly Lue is Blue Cosmos directed. Jabril had a nice code name for them and sent them to investigate the colony drop. Odds are that BC had the specs for the stolen Gundam trio already to begin with. You can't hop in a transforming mobile suit and know immediately how to control it fully (cue when Zaft stole EA's suits, they didn't know the capabilities and how to use them until they got back to the ship and looked them over). With the Chaos, Abyss, and Gaia, Sting and Co. hopped right in, started them up, configured what they needed, and immediately dove into combat. Stellar was bouncing off the walls in Bacow mode, and Sting was using the Gunbarrels. They had to have had some simulator training time to be able to do any of that. Zaft suits are also more complicated than Earth's suits (for the naturals an automation heavy OS was needed even for the Daggers to roll out). Enhanced or not they would have had a hard time messing with the Zaft-made suits unless they knew them in depth before hand.

Captains need loving too.

Looks like it was multiple nukes, though I would imagine even one would have the potential to destroy the colony depending on where it hits. The glass part of the hour glass would probably be quite succeptible to a nuke.

Good one. We'll make the cat-girls cry if we go too deep into it. Just saw it (download finished right before time to sleep). They way they're talking to does look like an "Armageddon" situation, though the Blue Cosmos guys admitted having no idea how much damage it would bring (and funny that thy have no faith in the EA to be able to stop it). With the rich-boys-club suit Jibril had and his pretty calm, demeanor, this guy should be quite the evil SOB (thankfully they didn't intro him with the Elton John outfit), and much better than the whiney psychopath Azrael was. Imagine my surprize when Yzak's team landed with drill equipment on Junis 7's surface. They even made sure to mention about the time for Earth's ships to arrive being too late, and sending missles from the ground will do nothing of any real benefit. Definately rouge Zaft guys initiating the drop, albeit crazy radical extemists. The BC will of course send them thank you cards for giving them an excuse to start a new anti-coordinator hatred spree. Next episode should be quite the Melee with Yzak's team and Minerva' crew fighting. I am really liking Shinn so far. Nice guy, yet an impressive pent up anger. Can't wait for him to meet Kira. Cagalli don't like it when someone blows up against her for once. Rey and Luna are pretty cool too. Best character of the show so far has to be Gilbert. The dude is just cool. All this and it's only Episode 5. Very well done so far. Where are the naysayers?

The Official Yamato VB-6 Monster Thread
Anubis replied to Montarvillois's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
At this point I'd be kind of happy if it's January for the Monster. Insurance (every 6 months due Dec), Auto Registration, DVD's, Christmas, and now the Yamato(?). My wallet needs at least a small break. -
Soon as I get some time, I'll download it from Steam, and then it's on baby! I haven't gnashed my teeth on a good FPS for a long time.

Not quite not the size of Texas. Found the Plant info I needed. Each shaft of the hourglass is 30km long, 10km diameter for each living area. Pretty damn big still. Junius 7 is only the lower half remnant of the colony, and it's already ruins as well, which will help the earth a bit. So we're probably talking about a UC colony-drop level of damage. A UC colony is about a 30km long cylinder vs a 10km diameter disc for Junius 7 I'll let a physics major get into it deeper. Watch it land on Washington this time. Maybe in another MSG homage it could land on Australia.
-
One colony drop won't destroy the Earth completely. It will tear up a piece of one continent probably (the PLANT colonies seem to be a good deal larger than the UC-style ones, but I can't find an exact spec on a Plant colony's diameter). There should be quite enough of Earth left to have a very pissed off Earth Alliance.

His and Her Circumstances (aka Kare Kano) (box set on sale this week for 40 bucks at right stuf) Ah/Oh My Goddess OVA and Movie Ai Yori Aoshi (original + Enishi) Chobits Please Teacher/Please Twins Saikano (She the ultimate weapon) Kimagure Orange Road (48 episodes+ova's and movie, so pretty long) Fushigi Yugi (52 episodes + ova's=very long as well) Maison Ikkoku (really really long) all I can think of right now. More actual romantic elements than say Love Hina or a romantic comedy/harem comedy of that vein.

Has this guy always been the Blue Cosmos leader or did he take over from Azrael? They should put him in some white Rufus Shinra style suit. Azrael was the head honcho before, so this guy took over probably right after Azrael's death.
-
One more thing about the blue VF-19S bootlegs is that they don't have the shortened wings the F/S models have, they just used blue Fire Valk wings.
-
It's the outfit that makes this dude look pretty gay right now. At least Azrael had a suit. With a better outfit this guy would look far more evil. For now it's just his face that makes him look pretty mean.
-
If it was this guy, then yes he's the Blue Cosmos leader. Even though he looks a lot gayer than azrael, he does somehow look a little more sinister at the same time. Hopefully he gets a better outfit later. No head bad guy should have an outfit that bad.
-
Nope. Never heard the phrase being used. Well, could be BC, or in the other extreme end, could actually be extremist Zaft guys doing the drop. Working with the BC to spark the war again? The promo pics show the 3 stolen gundams fighting the Minerva's group and Yzak's group, so the earth guys have something to do with it at least. This is one we'll just have to see I guess. Not long now for the fansub at least.
-
I do like the VF-9 though. Anyone else see some sililarities in the design to the SV-51? This thread has been officially endorsed by the Space Pope.
-
Would make a lot of sense for BC to use stolen Zaft suits. Makes framing Zaft for doing the colony drop that much easier. Were any of the pilots spouting that "clean blue earth" nonsense Blue Cosmos guys like to say?

Let the age of laser weapons begin! The laser meant for the modified-747 airborne laser just had it's first successful firing. link

Mylene's VF-11XL Custom (note even the compendium lists the XL variant sepearately now from the Mylene custom of that particular variant). That head is by far the worst. After that, the other sound force valks's heads.
