  1. Actually it is Destroid Mode, Gerwalk Mode, Shuttle Mode. I noticed the black gun as well. Tiny, but at least it's there.
  2. I vote #1, but with Myung superimposed as well. Having Myung there really worked well. You're right, without the titles it does look too empty, so those can stay.
  3. How about one without the titles on the side panels? With the logo on the spine we may not need those, and the panels might look smoother. I like the height of the Isamu/Guld. How about rasing them to about center height?
  4. That looks really good there. I like having the Guld/Isamu in there. Do you think it would look better if the size was reduced on the guld and isamu? As is works too though.
  5. Same here, the right one looks busy, but the left one looks pretty good. Can we see that one on a spread. You can make them smaller if you think they're too big for the superimpose. Maybe try reducing them to 1/2 or 3/4 the original height?
  6. I really like the superimposed Myung. The YF-19 looked a lot better upside down IMO. Better layout that way. I also like the idea of the similarly superimposed Guld/Isamu behind the planes.
  7. That pic made my morning.
  8. Wow, I really like the looks of both of those Force Impulse Gundams. Makes me want to think if I really want to spend the cash on the GQ Sword I pre-ordered. I also find it awesome that the HCM Pro 1/200 still transforms and has the teeny core splendor. Looks great. I will probably be buying that one. I will have any Zaku HCM Pro that gets released at a minimum.
  9. Unfortunately VF-X2 did not have the VF-4, did it? That's about the only thing missing in VF-X2: The VF-4 and the VF-5000. We've probably covered this before, but Flashback would be covered in the TV/DYRL liscense right? A model of the prototype was alsop in Hikaru's room in DYRL, so a VF-4 should be possible in theory. VF-X2 had (I'm going from my flighline wallscroll): VF-1, VF-11, VF-17, VF-19, VF-22, VA-3, VB-6. The VF-5000 info is news to me (and very cool info), so as long as it appeared in a version of VF-X2, it should be fine too. Gotta be careful or I'll start pipe-dreaming again. Edit: M3 also had the VF-9 and VF-14. Yamato never got an M3 liscence, right?
  10. Seems Zeta will be the focus of the HGUC kits for a while. Also, no plans for an updated MG Zeta. The wording also seems to imply there won't be many MG kits either. Predominantly HGUC releases. from Gunota As for the Zeta movies, there's a thread here (you have to search for it) but Tomino had said on record he wanted a "happier" tone for Zeta's ending. Less casualties as well from what he was saying. He also said Camille's character was going to be modified some as well. Translation: he got soft, and wants to modify his dark series. How he plans ZZ and CCA to still fit in I have no idea. He isn't "kill em all" Tomino anymore.
  11. Nice, although I don't know why they featured Amuro so prominently on the poster. It's as if he's shouting "I'm barely in this film!!" That is a little misleading I guess. My complaint is how they completey changed the ending of Zeta in these new movies. Tomino got soft. Anyway though, Zeta GQ Models might be all right, but I'm going to go with the new HCM Pros primarily. I did pick up a KS Hyaku-Shiki a couple weeks ago.. Awesome figure, except for soem blemishes on the wings and a couple scratches. Other than that awesome, and so posable. I may still get an HCM Pro Hyaku Shiki anyway to tuck away. I wanted to get some more actual models, but no time anymore. Otherwise I would have snatched the HGUC Marasai already, and the MG Hi-Zack.
  12. Will the HG 1/60 Strike Gundam's Strike packs fit on the PG?
  13. Got mine yesterday. The plastic feels about as sturdy as a 1/48. I like the shade of Green used. No real QC issues on mine. The aborted missle launchers can almost pop up on mine, so they are not real secure. That kind of bugs me as half-assed. The arms feel a little loose, but they are stable. That could have been tighter IMO. The two tiny pegs have stress marks already on mine and I was very gentle and only transformed it from Shuttle straight to Gerwalk. This is my only legitimate gripe about this thing. No way those should not have been metal pins, especially when there are other metal connection parts on it. This is laziness IMO, and a definite design flaw. I can see many people breaking these pegs over time. I'm concerned for the prolonged weight of Gerwalk mode and what effect that will have on those pegs in time as well. Haven't tried Destroid mode yet. Thanks a million for the tutorial that was posted here. I had it on my lap and went though the steps to Gerwalk exactly so I had no problem. I can see some reports coming of people snapping theirs apart trying to transform it though, but again the same fear is present when transforming a 1/48 VF-1 the first couple times. The DON'T FORCE ANYTHING rule is extremely important with this thing. At least with the right transformation sequence laid out in front of you it isn't too hard to work it. Overall I'm quite happy with it, except for the two tiny pegs. I'm not sure wether to put some stock stickers or wether I want to incur the expense once the inevitable Takatoys or Anasazi decals come out. I think it's a bit over priced (just like the 1/48 and the Q-rau IMO) but it's still a great addition and something I never though I'd see on my shelf this time last year. Anyone actually building the resin of the VB-6 must have the patience of Buddha and the skills of a Master Craftsman. Thanks to Yamato for this, now they can get off thy're asses and release more stuff. I do hope this sells well enough for them to continue with more macross goodness outside of the VF-1 finally.
  14. Back to the Marasai, I like the design. You can tell the influence this design had in the Gaera Doga and Sazabi as well, which kind of adds to it's appeal to me. If it was green then it would completely rock. The orange-ish tones in some pics of it are the only thing I don't really care for.
  15. I'm not a big fan of the character triangle either, but at least it gets Myung on the box somewhere. Not many other ways to get her on it seamlessly. Being a little one on the top keeps it out of the way as well.
  16. It's a tough call between tose two (the reworks are both superb). I still have to give my vote to 21 though. I like how you added the logo on the spine too with the extra space. It has every base covered IMO.
  17. I'm happy for more Macross Toys period. It's a shame this has been vaporware so far. 1/100 or not. The last prototype shown was a leap better than the original though. Could this also be a reason for the lack of a YF-19? The M+ liscense lapsed?
  18. Odds are this guy will sell out. A new design like this, it'll start moving. Took a little while for the 1/48's to start selling out. I really really hope this sells well enough to encourage more VF-X2 valks, and the VF-4. Befroe that though they need to finish the -19 and the VF-0. Still.
  19. If there is enough interest, Paul may let us do two. We chose designs two for the SDF case. Only if more people actually buy the M+ case. The turnout for theSDF Macross boxes was much lower than expected to make it worth having two designs.
  20. They still haven't said what ZAKU stands for.
  21. If you had to animate the transformations, won't you be happy if they made it an easy transformation? Dang...anybody wanna scan the next page? From the looks of it, the next page has the Gouf Ignited lineart......BTW, the image is from the current issue of Hobby Japan. There's also some info on Haine Westenfluss in the issue (spoiler, highlight to read) Haine Westenfluss - A resourceful pilot assigned to Faith - Fought in the Battle of Yakin Due as a part of the Hawkins Squad - Piloted the Orange-colored Zaku Phantom in Ep 9 (I guess this confirms it) - Pilots a newly rolled-out orange-colored Gouf Ignited and is assigned to the Minerva Don't get me wrong, I wasn't complaining about it. I like that they're trying a bunch of stuff out. Shows effort.
  22. I say 21.
  23. They're starting to appear on ebay.
  24. I'm just fine with my ver. 1.5 RX-78-2. Maybe a HCM Pro to hold on to.
  25. On the reverse coin, last time I looked there were TONS of the Hasbro verion on ebay for cheap.
