Actually the citizens got put in the Matrix-style Spritia tank, and most of the soldiers they captured, brainwashed and made them fly the Varuta's fighters. They show all the newly brainwashed troops lined up before they throw them at M7, and over the next episodes, many are freed by Fire Bomber's music. They most likely did like they did with M7's VF-11's: catch them and drain the Spritia of the pilots. Then collect and mop up.

The 1/48 Hikaru Strike looks great indeed, but I already have the 1A Hikaru, so if I invest in another 1/48 I would want it to be a different paint scheme, like the low-vis or a CF. Millia would be great as the red scheme is one of my favorites, but by principal you kind of have to get Max too. The 1/60's will do for me on the others. I do wish the Hikaru Strike would come in that scale, too.

Which Macross (series or movie) do you think......

DYRL. Macross Plus comes pretty close though. -
Can't wait for my one from Kevin.

75.99!!! With 30 on top of that for shipping??!!!! Guy's nuts.

Seemed to me the Mac 5 fleet was blitzed after they landed and were caught off guard. They called the Mac 7 fleet before hand to tell them "Hey look what we found!" And then the 7 fleet headed over at 5's invitation. Since they were the ones that seemed to be targeted by the protodevlin, they probably didn't bother to relay it to the other fleets. Then they got the nasty surprise when they got to the planet.

Nevermind, that was a stupid question after all. I looked up the info on it and saw nothing about no Gerwalk, though I could have sworn I read that once, don't ask me where. That being the case, why didn't yamato put a picture of the Elint in Gerwalk on the side of the box? They only put fighter and battroid. That's what made me wonder about it. They usually showcase all 3 modes. Strange. Awesome valk though regardless. Will buy it in time, but the Super O is first.

I would love to see at least a Strike VF-1S Hikaru come out in 1/60, since the only VF-1S they have come out with was Roy's. They have what, 3 A's amd 3 J's. Show the S some more love, Yamato, please. Hikaru Strike! Say it with me! We're getting it in 1/48, how about 1/60?
-
Forgive me if this is a redundant question, but was the Elintseeker meant to go to gerwalk mode? Officially it's just Battroid/Fighter, right? I got confused remembering seeing the Bandai in gerwalk, and seeing no mention of Gerwalk on the Yamato box. Edit: spelling

Put an order for two sets in w/ kevin! If I at least get Hikaru and Minmei I will be happy. They are Limited qty already so order quick. Edit: Make that two sets, since he sells them by 5.

A yamato Angel Birds, Minmei Guard, or low-vis would be great. An LE or two for the 1/60 line. Also, a Hikaru Strike might be a fitting valk to end with since the line started with the Hikaru 1A. PS: Nice custom job on the 1A Max.
-
Damn I want my Super O already. Got a space cleared for it and waiting.
-
I'm sure Yamato will continue to release both lines. While the 1/48's are outstanding of course, there are a lot of us that cannot afford to buy more than one or two of them, if any at all. There is also the space issue. Those guys eat a lot of shelf space. On the cash front, spending about 130 dollars for just the valkyrie, then another 60 for the fast packs, pretty much forbids me from getting another one right now, it's so expensive in total. I love my Hikaru 1A, but in fact the only reason I jumped on it when I did was because I found it on Animenaton's last clearance sale for 97 shipped. By the time a CF or a Millia comes out, if they do, I should be able to spare the cash by then to pick one up. 80-90 bucks for a fast pack 1/60 fits my budget and space limits pretty nicely, and they are still very well detailed. The Elint and Super O are both looking very good. I have a Super O now on pre order. Then there's the stuff coming next year. M0 valks and the VF-4 (hopefully). I would actually rather have them in 1/60 scale. They are still big enough, and are the right size to incorporate plenty of detail. I love the 1/48 series and would love to get a few more of them. I just have to be mindful of how much I can spend. The right version comes out I will be the first to snatch one. 1/60's and 1/72's fit most everyone's budget and will continue to sell very high numbers, I'm sure, as 1/48's just are not realistic for many people. It's kind of the same way PG Gundam kits are not for everyone, and all 3 lines, PG, MG, and HGUC all sell very well. Bottom line, if 1/60's and 1/72's were not going to stay profitable, Yamato would know by now and would not even have announced any more of them. Edit: On the pain of sounding contradictory, the DYRL SDF-1 would make me cough up some green pretty quick, whatever scale they come out with. Or a 1/60 YF-19. The damn low-vis still calls to me though, baiting me.

VF-1A, VF-1D, VF-1S, something else from the Anti-UN Side, and the ASS-1.
-
That would be bad ass. I still want my CF though, too.
-
They both look great. I'm trying not to buy both at once, especially since I just paid for Fast Packs for my 1/48 Hikaru, but aahhh. I ordered a Super O from TMP already, can't wait to get it. I'm kind of curious about the Elint though, the different way the boosters connect and the antennae arm attached permanently to the backpack. Maybe a dumb question, but was the Elint ever meant to fly bare without the stuff on it? Doesn't look like you can rotate the backpack back to fly as just fighter.

Wether that Scoponock thing is Megatron or not it still looks like complete crap, as do all of these...things. They at least tried when the did Beast Wars/Machines. Everything after has been blasphemous to the original. On a side note this has given me my laugh of the week. Megapimp.
-
By all means, that would be great. Whenever you get a chance. Thanks. Edit: spelling

The scalping has already started. I saw a Minmei doll for a ridiculous price on E bay already a couple of days ago. 35 bucks starting bid I think. Give it a week and the other figures will start showing up.

now is it just me or is macross pretty close on wh

The way merchandising is heading it won't be long until we have vending machines stalking us. The thought of a a Coke and Pepsi machine bumping each other to get to you is kind of a funny thought though IMO. -
I wonder who will be in the second series. I might have said this somewhere before but my guesses would be Roy, Misa, Myung, Sara, and maybe Basara, since they need someone else from Macross 7.
-
Yep, definately no hesitation on pre-ordering the next series. Unfortunate we got snowballed on this one, though.
-
Does any site have the Macross Figures available still? Kevin said he had them on order for VE, but no new word yet, and TAM's supply dried up in an instant. Hope I didn't miss out. If so I'll just have to make sure I put my order in early for the 2nd series.
