Maintaining some diversity is important. If they saturate the market with 1/48 VF-1 variants, then they sre going to be stuck with excess inventory. How many $200 dollar (valk + FP) are the majority of us actually willing to buy? The fortunate few can buy as many as they want, but the regular joe has to be selective. As much as I would like to, I just can't justify to myself 200 bucks for a Hikaru 1S w/ fast packs when have a strike roy and a Hikaru A on the shelf. D-models probably are not very likely to happen, because they have to alter the sculpt of the valk to do it, and IMO the heatshield won't be able to be non-removable like that, either, though that is a minor quibble. VE and VT definately not gonna happen, bacause they are not going to make new FP molds just for those, the cost most likely won't justify those. I don't think Kakizaki woud sell extremely well, I'm curious if they even bother, probably depends on how the DYRL Max 1A did. TV Max/Kakizaki, who knows, but doubtful if they are planning M&M 1J's (a certainty) or a Max 1S. New valks in whatever scale are guaranteed to sell well. There are most assuredly multiple cannon schemes for the VF-4. Like in my abouve posts, 3 automatically: Skull 001 and Max/Millia. More are a sinch. At a minimum Yamato would have bragging rights about having the first transformable toy of it. The VF-11 has sold well, there is no doubt the VF-4 would perform well, too, also the 5000 or any other valk, but that is reaching a little bit. It would be great for them to get the VF-4 out there, give us a break from the VF-1 bit temporarily. When M0 comes, the VF-0 would be nice, but it's still based from the VF-1 anyway. I will probably spend more on 2 SV-51's, for something different. Maybe 1 VF-0. I love the VF-1, but I am not plunking 140 bucks down too repeatedly on more 1/48's of it. Like I've said before, another LE or a CF, but that's all I want. Especially with my 1/60's to boot. I want to have some room for something else, and would be more than happy to throw money at some new offerings. Just no more VF-1s for now for me, except the GBP 1/60. I would love a VF-22S as well, since they have shown they have the head and such already. They just need to fix that backpack so it actually locks in battroid. At the very least the new YF-19's are coming, of which I will buy two. That and the 1/60 GBP are all I'm really looking forward too right now.

They definately improved Misa's character design in DYRL. In the tv show Minmei was certainly the more attractive target, especially with Misa's huge stick up her @$$ in the beginning. Minmei was justa little naive. But then Hikaru blew it and allowed Kaifun to come back to the ship, who immediately proceded to interfere and stick his nose in everywhere, and blew Hikaru's potential alone time with Minmei. Robotech minmei was just stupid. Misa was a very forgiving woman in the show. How many do we know that would wait like that for hours and not kill us after we showed up, or even wait 1 hour for that matter, and not kill us. -
Low Viz VF-4, any paint scheme of the VF-1 lines too! Minmay Guard VF-4! Actually, I would sure as hell buy a Low Viz version of some of the other valks if they released them! But I need a VF-4! Needs it, wants it! Our.... prrrrrecious! I'll just keep hoping! ... either that or I'm gonna learn how to sculpt and spend years trying make my own! There are already several official schemes out the door: Skull One, Max, and Millia, a grey (right?) VF-X2 scheme, or even a brown CF version of it. And there's nothing to say they couldn't do a low-vis or stealth black sceme either. Most of us here would gobble up a VF-4 in multiples. Even if it's just the skull scheme, I'd buy two anyway. Edit in: Maybe pass that idea along if they need convincing. A good VF-4 would be a goldmine. It's been asked for in these pages forever.

Here are some pics of my modest display collection. My TRU -1A remains MISB, safely tucked in storage. Maybe with a display case I'll build the nerve to open it, and I took the Fire Valk down a few weeks ago. First a wide shot of my desk: Edit: Replaced pic with one from my new digital camera. -
So NOT 1:1? If only I could. Or maybe a 1/48 of it as my next house

As sweet as the VF-1's are in the bigger scale, I really want to see some other models on my shelf. VF-4, a proper VF-11, something. AND AN SDF-1! Don't care what scale, as long as it doesn't make it cost more than a 1/48 w/ fast packs.

And looks like that wasn't even the whole spread, looking at the Super O off to the side. Sweet. Man it must be nice to be able to afford that. -
Yamato is supposed to release a VF-4. When, who knows. 1/72(?) and hopefully a 1/48. Hope they at least do the smaller scale version before they dip into the Macross Zero Valks.

If it's the suvastika, remember that it was a symbol used before the nazis. Besides it's the reverse swastika, which has a different meaning. See Blade Of The Immortal manga. I think he was refering to the "Shitseeing Bus Stop" I agree with the above post, I think that one might have been photoshopped too.

In case anyone is interested, I found this Mizuho PVC figure up for pre-order. Not bad at all for 25 bucks. Mizuho Figure

Even if the Hasbro has the proper smoke stacks, it sill still have the battle damage, so it's gonna be Takara for me.

Eva is one of my favorite series. My only complaint was the way shinji degenerated in the movie. Great stuff the rest of the ride. The manga kicks ass too, with even more character depth thrown in, and a slightly bigger spine for shinji.

I have a homebrew, the same case as Mechamaniac, black, but the only fancy lighting in there is two tri-color LED fans in the back. As for Yggdrasil's hardware: AMD Athlon XP 2400+/Abit KD7E motherboard 512MB Ram 100 GB HD and 60GB HD HP DVD Writer300i (Piece of crap but it works for now)/Toshiba 16X DVD-ROM Geforce 4 MX440 64 MB Video Card SoundBlaster Live! Sound Card Pinnacle Studio AV 7 Capture Board (still haven't actually used it) NEC Multisync FE790SP 17" CRT Monitor LinkSys Network Card/Router Logitech Elite Keyboard/Wireless Trackman Mouse

Got the Movie and Season 1. Both are in great shape, especially conisdering the masters. Recommend at least those two. Someday I'll pick up the Season 2 boxes. Don't know about season 3 though.

My brother mentioned the same thing. Somehow the music fit perfectly.

This thread has gone straight to land.

They haven't said anything about any others form the show, though if they do it's a safe bet it would be the Alseides or the Sherzade (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) guymelefs first, which I would say could be likely if the Escaflowne itself sells well, which of course it will. I hope they do at least. It's doubtful they have any kind of plans to do the samurai looking ones from the second episode, or the other CF mecha at this time.

If the product isn't ready to to be showcased yet, it's not ready. If they put out a sample sculpt before they were sure it was the right one, then these boards would be filled with people complaining about it. Very few toy companies showcase their stuff until they are happy with the sculpt. Even unpainted, the sculpt itself needs to be right. Graham is right in every regard that the 19 is difficult to design to be as accurate as possible in all modes (at least Battroid and Fighter, gerwalk can be determined by the other two) Look at a hesegawa -19 and imagine if it was variable as it is. The head and arm proportions, the gear, shoulders, hip/groin section, all require a lot of attention to detail, and durability is also a factor. The FP's complicate matters. I think it's a good thing they are taking their time and doing it right. They could have just took the existing one, tweaked the legs some, slapped FP's on it and called it good. But they wanted to make a kick ass edition of this valk. I'm sure when it is released it will be worth the wait, and it gives me time to save up so I can buy two of them.

I'm still waiting for the MW FPS Deathmatch. Unless there was one and no one told me Dammit, I have an urge to play tie fighter now, but no time to do it. Maybe if I have a little time tomorrow since I'm off, but I doubt it.
