Can it pose John Woo style against two VF-1's?
-
Yeah, shockwave is one reissue I'm hoping for. He is my favorite character. I wonder which ones Takara has planned next. I unfortunately never had the constucticons. Used to have Metroplex, but I dropped him and he broke in half. I think my parents threw him away not long after that, along with any others at the time that had broken parts. I want to know what happened to the ones that were missing that I had tucked away, but they said they didn't touch them either. I know my dad went on one of his toss crap out binges and I think an extra box made it's way to the dump without him checking the contents. Either that, or there is still one box I have not found yet. One more I am surprized of is Piranacon, or something like that. A set of 6 aquatic looking combiners where any one of the 5 small guys became the gun. I thnk I have most of his pieces. Ah..memories. I had a friend I played as a kid that had the big AT-AT walker, and an SDF-1, along with a bunch of other stuff. Odds are they ended up thowing everything away.

He speaks at last! Great news to hear indeed. Stable and looks good are all I wanted to hear. Can't wait for some sample shots when finally allowed.

Damn, I never noticed the holes don't line up the same on the legs. Since the GBP armor should be able to accomodate all the 1/60's I was considering taking the backpack of the Hikaru 1J and swapping the piece I need, but that still leaves me fixing the leg holes. I haven't really wanted to cannabalize the 1J though, and it would leave them with the wrong backpack colors. Though I could repaint that I guess if it's too noticable. Thanks for the detailed instructions though Hiriyu. Maybe with a Dremel and a lot of courage built up I might give it a try your way. We'll see. The most model work I can do currently is a MG Gundam kit, so I am afraid to ruin it at the moment.

No AoD quote is complete without... "Gimme some sugar, baby!" Lady, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave the store. -
Are you sure it's within the 64 x 64 pixel limit?
-
Well, maybe get it flight ready. I'm sure they were repairing it as they studied it so they could assimilate everything they could from it.

I don't even want to know your reaction to the 1/48 valks.

I knew that my parents had shuffled things around while I was in the air force, but I still never got around to checking my old transformers that I had tucked away until now, and after we moved. I know something got lost in the move too, but not as much as when I was gone, many my brother played with as well. Needless to say, I no longer have many of the ones I thought I did . I have Cyclonus's Targetmaster gun, but no Cyclonus. I only have the White prime clone part of Ultra Magnus, with one hand. I don't have my G1 PRIME. I could have sworn I still had it. I do have my Powermaster Prime though. Bottom Line: check what you have in storage if you're not sure. I'm kind of kicking myself for letting that sit so long, and they were packed so badly. But oh well. On the plus side, my Computron and Abonimus combiners seem to be complete. Menasaur almost. I knew the chestplate was gone from it, not sure what else. Superion I don't know. I have to rummage through the box. Big plus, Scorponock seem to be complete. May be missing the big blue guns from Fort Max, and I know I lost Spike (lost him not long after I got it, used another headmaster head to sub) but that's it. Trypticon is not missing much as well to my knowledge, missing the car that attached to the chest is all I noticed. I really should have took better care of them if I was going to save them like I have been, Wheeljack is yellowed and beat up there's nothing I can do about him. Rodimus and galvatron's stickers are tore up. That's natural though given how much play they got when I was young. Honestly, I'm kind of surprized what ones I still have are in as good shape as they are. I put a few pics for now of what I was able to find here. I'll add some more pics to the album when I get them fixed up and know for sure what I have and don't have. I know there are a bnch of Pretenders in there. Don't know how they survived instead of the other stuff. What I would like to do, especially for Fort Max is clean then up. Then pack them up properly. Does anyone have a recommended method to do this? Or a link to a thread where cleaning was covered. Remarkably, there is very little yellowing on anything (except wheeljack, he's just toast) so that is not a worry. Just want to get any dirt off safely. Very slightly damp rag, alcohol swab, or what? I'd appreciate any comments.

I'm leaning on some kind of beacon being sounded in this one too. May be a precipitating factor to get the ASS-1 rebuilt into the SDF-1. It sounds in M0 like they are still just studying it, and adapting everything they can from it.

E-bay is a very reliable source of comedy. Check the Auctions of Absurdity thread. Great stuff.

The scene where the CF lights the cigarette for the Zentraedi guy had me LMAO! "The culture is particularly good today." Something like that. What ep # was that again? Anyway why not macronize some food? Had to feed all those full size Zentraedi somehow. Is there anything specific (official) about how the miclonizing/macronizing machine works?

Geez some people are absolute damn idiots, and so many of them make their way to e-bay.

I don't think I did too bad. This is as far as my modelling skills go. The Zeta is the Kahen Senshi, it's so-so. That's for another thread.

I think they are great. Nicely detailed, generally not too complicated to build though some are more complicated than others. The more complex looking the suit.... you get the idea. The newer ones with the inner frames kick ass. I have not cemented or painted any of mine though I'm sure it would improve them further for those that do paint them. I do use a Gundam Marker for some panel lining, and I try to do some of the dry markings as well (again I think those go on paint better than the plastic.) At 1/100th scale they range from around 18 to 30cm. Not bad for the price. I might get a MG Z'Gok in a month or two. Just like Vostok said, they are display pieces primarily, so don't mass around with them too much but they should last just fine. Definately a big step up from the Wing HG kits I made at first. Some pics to entice you. Note: I have mine mixed in with HGUC's in the pics. You can tell which is which.

I have seen some people around here with 1/60 VF-1 CF's hooked up with fast packs. The regular release has the leg holes, but not the backpack holes needed. So... Have you guys that modified it drilled holes into the backpack or swapped out the neccessary part with one from a Super -J, Strike -S, or D? Even better, has someone recast the backpack part with the holes? With GBP armor on the way for my Hikaru -J I would like to rig my CF up with the packs if possible. Any input or a how-to would be appreciated.

I'd like to see Goldberg take on Lesner before he leaves. I wouldn't mind Undertaker or Big Show either. Don't realy like Big Show, but watching Goldberg beat him senseless would be nice.

It already has weapons built into the forearms and shoulders.

*>!SLAP!<* First of all, we don't use kraut here or any other words of the sort. Second; Nazis weren't the first, last, or only party to use propaganda. In fact it is stated that it was specifically based on AMERICAN propaganda films. now that I have the idiocy out of the way... You are correct that it DID use the book as toilet paper, and it IS as funny and absurd as space insects fighting a war with humans... oh wait.. I liked Starship Troopers only for the violence and gore. I keep hearing the book was better. Does anyone have a link or can tell me or piont me to the direction were I can find out th e differences? And for my favorite dirty pleasure sci-fi flick, it 5th Element. I just can't get enough of a topless Millia Jovovich, or an ambiguously gay Chris Tucker. Leloo: "Multi-pass!" Actually Chris Tucker was far from gay in 5th element. He had them lined up and he also bagged the stewardess during takeoff. Excellent movie. "You know what I like. A killer. Cold, clean, methodical. Now a real killer when picking up the ZF-1 would have immediately asked about the little red button on the bottom of the gun." -

There was a Starship Troopers Book!!!??? I thought that movie was based on the Starcraft video game. Robert Heinlen wrote the original book somewhere around 1959. Felt much more like a political/military study than a sci-fi war book. -
Cool. Good luck as always.

Well, he said trip so I'm hoping it's a happier place than either of those two locations. I was just taking a shot in the dark looking at his sig. Hopefully a more fun place. Puerto Rico
