Yeah, do that and the blurb can start with the logo (so "Macross World" will be covered, and then "Exclusive" afterword. Non-obtrusive, and pretty good looking. Not sure at all what font though. Go for the mettallic for the Exclusive maybe, all caps, a third or quarter the height of the logo centered? Or keep the current style here, adjust the logo, take the outer blue border off, and do MW Exclusive in metallic, all caps.

The metallic shimmer from the top would be pretty sweet on this design.

That's perfect! Sweet! This has a very good balance between characters, SDF, and VF-1. This box design get my vote. We just need to pick what Hasegawa art to use on the top, if we can get any high res scans of them at all.

I like Wolf13's ARMD shot fot the top of the box, but since we're (apparently) settling on artwork, then a Hasegawa shot may be good for the top. I'd say either of these cropped to fit: the Super Max 1A or the Strike 1S. Does anyone have suitable high res versions of these?

Awesome. For one of the sides I would still recommend the DYRL shot that I suggested (the one you rescanned) though, that way we have some valks in at least one of the shots in addition to the characters. That and I love the image, what can I say. Both of the sides you picked are good images though, too. That aside, great. The SDF-1 shot is perfect for the spine, IMO.

During the big fleet battle and also in the episode with the factory station.

Tenchi GXP is being released by Funimation, 8 discs. Vol. 1 comes out March 9th. There's also a disc + box release.

Low low price of 749.99. Contains Tenchi OVA Series (excluding the new 3rd series), both Tenchi TV Series, the movies, some bonus discs, books, and more all in a wood box. Link I'm not making fun of this, I just thought the price was funny, though admittedly cheap however for such a large R2 box set, with so much stuff inside. I like the Tenchi series and all, but damn.

Using Irfanview, I can increase the dpi TO 300. Will that work for what we need?

A this rate the next Macross series will be about one of the environmental restoration teams.

B-2 bombers CAN drop bombs just like this image, they just usually use the more accurate munitions. Those easily are B-2 bombers.

Bridge Bunnies ALWAYS have the best uniforms I've always like the coats the command guys get to wear too. Over UN Spacy, the best star forces uniforms I've seen have to go to the Abh uniforms in CotS/BotS though.

Damn, that means I'm out of the pic department. I have some high-res shots, but odds are you photoshop guys have the same, if not better quality pics than I do. Think we can wing artwork at the right dpi? If not, then I guess at least the SDF box may end up all CG after all. Not thet there's anything wrong with that. I just really like the pics I suggested for the sides . Oh well. Keep on bringing suggestions, guys!

Wow, we sure need some good quality pics to do this. I scaled down the pics I posted, but I don't know if the originals are good enough. I don't know anything about photoshop either so I can't help there or figure out what DPI mine are.

Here's the previous desert shot cropped around box spine size to guestimate.

That pic would be a good one great for the spine or the side, and gives some leeway to crop it since it's only 3 dvd's. Due to the small size for the spine I was leaning towards some form of Sharon Apple, like this, with the "Macross Plus" title possible over it. The sides, maybe a YF-19 one side yf-21 on the other. I really don't know, just they should be similar themed. Both hangar shots, both character shots, both flight shots. The pic you showed would make a nice side though. Just need something to match it on the other.

DAMN This guy is good. Think that would clash with the two artwork pieces I suggested for the sides? I'm not sure. Be an interesting mix of old and new at least. Any other suggestions for the sides? Anything CG-ish? If we settle on CG images, something like this would be perfect for the back. Room to add the logo, and the MW exclusive blurb. I'd still like to see some more artwork alternatives for the spine, too. One of Wolf13's renders would work great if we can find the right background, which I'm sure one of us has. It would be nice to mesh the spine with some actual artwork on the sides if possible. Something like the background from the Hasegawa Super VF-1A Max would work good with the SDF-1.

Hmm, that's true. I guess it depends on what CG is used on the spine, wether characters are ghosted onto the image, and how well it blends in. If it clashes, then I would say go to all artwork, If all else fails, we could use one of the Hasegawa valk art images for the spine, which should go well. An SDF-1 shot would be preferrable. Either the VF-1S, Super Max 1A, or Strike Roy 1S would be good alternatives. Maybe take Mechamaniac's SDF-1 (maybe do something different with the background (?), still looks pretty good though), or this SDF-1 against a space backdrop?
