If you want to see a show completely converted into jive, examine the dub of Initial D. Idiocy. BTW: Actually Bandai's initial release of Escaflowne was delayed to give Fox a chance at airing the show, before it was realized what a hack job Fox did to it. Disgraceful they way the cut it up, and gave it a techno-ish intro. Frightening. There were blood edits throughout, along with some of Hitomi's fortune telling, IINM. The award for most blatant chop-up is still RT's though.

They even said on the RT site they were using Animeigo's restored footage. Goes to show once again, even with a perfect master on their laps, HG still manages to screw it up. Could they have stupidly used the masters they gave to Animeigo for clean-up instead of what Animeigo produced?

I would be worried, no mater how much they clamor it's indestrutible. If that building comes down, forget it. The suspended stadium and core center scream targets. Building Space colonies would probably be cheaper or comparable to that monstrosity. Technically feasible too eventually, there was a great site about UC Gundam type colonies I read a while back.

Yes it can do that. Of course you can always take that point up with the Hoary Froating Head himself as that poster is from the Macross Perfect Memory book... Jsut checking. The only ones that never saw fast packs were the TV Hikaru -1J (upgraded to -1S), Max -1A (upgraded to -1J), and Kakizaki -1A (dead).

You know, I just noticed something. Where are the shoulders on the spine image? Are the Daedalus and Prometheus oriented right?!!? It looks like the ships are facing forward instead of back. Can it do that technically speaking?

Interesting. I still like them separated though for the moment. An area to explore though. Note: the bottom halves of the deadalus and prometheus are missing.

By all means. Though someone should have a box around here to scan. SOMEONE! COME ON! please. The lettering is even lovingly placed in areas where it should be easy for one of our very skilled people can remove them, and then expand the clouds/land to fit. Hell, keep the Macross logo in the bottom left. Solves that placement question as well. The four images have an almost perfect color and style balance between the types of images. Make an awesome box. The other two SDF-1 shots from before don't synch with the other pics nearly as well as the current spine.

I don't mind the special editions at all, except in ESB where they poorly added Luke's yell as he fell wherever the hell he was falling to, and the re-dubbed couple of lines they gave Vader soon afterword. There wasn't any need to change "Bring my shuttle." What they did sounded very inconsistent. Other than that, I don't mind having the special editions. They'll hold up that much better over time, especially when watching the prequels right before hand. It a given that they are going to release the uber set after Ep 3 is released on DVD. That's fine, I'll upgrade to a Paul Champagne case when they do. I'm not buying Ep. I and II twice.

Good lord that's a lot of desktop icons. I like the quicklaunch bar, personally. Why won't they crank out a 1/48 CF already ha! I have more Icons on my desktop I don't know, I like to actually see my desktop wallpaper.

I love my Bandai CF. It's been growing on me the more I leave it on my desk. I bought it intending to put it away, too. Now, it's getting Fast Packs and may substitute a while for the missing 1/48 CF I've wanted. If I ever have any kids, they'll get that and the Skull 001 Bandai I have tucked away.

I changed the channel once HHH started running his mouth again at the signing. Changed it back to see Foley challenge Orton, chase after Orton into catering, and get jumped by Flair and a$$hole #2. Stupid. Gave up completely for the night after that.

What happens if someting blows up or damages one of the support struts for the core center or stadium? A novel idea, but what happens if you need to tear it down, or do heavy structural work on one of the lower blocks? Might as well go ahead and build space colonies IMO. I agree with Nightbat, just because we may be able build something that huge doesn't necessarily mean we should.
