I think I read before that Mangle has lost the Giant Robo liscense recently. I have not seen anything about who else might have picked it up though.

Lot's of things don't add up here, nor smell right yet. It's possible a deal has been made, and both are being mum about it. Macross 7 Trash was squelched way faster than this though. As though a secret hammer fell. For these to be allowed to linger like this is strange. It would be nice if we had at least an inkling of what was going on. The DYRL bit is confusing enough. A 19 potentially showing up in the RT comic is bordering twilight zone level crap. I'm holding out hope that an aggreement for DYRL was hammered out. Everyone will benefit from the 20th avviversary exposure. A 19 in RT is just . Maybe a condition HG tacked on since they can't come up with anything else new themselves? Access to some mecha designs? A nod to when Battletech used lots of macross mecha under different guises? Another reason the "YF-4" has not transformed yet being they weren't sure which transformation they were going to be able to use? I am now in conspirasy theorist mode

Damn, DA that is a nice design. I need some mecha on the box myself as well, but that definately made me pause and consider it. With a Mikimoto SDF/valk pic for the top, it might change my vote. Though it might break the theme of this design. For now I'm sticking with Blaine's latest. The 3 panel spread would make a sweet wallpaper though at the least.

Now unleash the froating head pics. Actually, if Toynami were to make a MPC YF-19 it would just be a rip off of Bandai's VF-19 Fire Valk, maybe scaled down to 1/55. There would be no MPC YF-21 because that would require creative effort on their part. Unless they rip off the Yamato, make it all plastic and kick it up to 1/55. They've shown enough balls so far, why not!

I mean it DOES look like crap, and Yune's art (though tends to be big boobed and american targeted) usually shows great artistic talent. If the 19 shows up in the comic, finished, then it will be time to unleash fan hell and we can not only set ME lose in LA hunting HG blood, we can also have a pizza delivered to Tommy's house every 15 minuites between the hours of 8PM and 5AM. DYRL is rocky territory, but Big West has complete legally established dominion over anything Macross Plus, 7, or Zero related. To use the YF/VF-19 in anything Robotech related is sheer brazenness on HG's part. The VF-4 was bad enough. Now the 19. It's an early sketch of the cover. Yune hasn't finished it yet. This man needs a horse hed under his blanket already.

Has anyone bothered to raise the BS flag at RT yet? The response will probably be the same as DYRL though more than likely = "It's OK, trust us." Credence to the "All your Macross belongs to us" theory regarding DYRL just increased.

The VF-X-4 was fair game, there is no way in hell they could even insinuate the same thing for the -19. This casts a dark shadow over the DYRL situation too if they decided thay would just apporpriate the -19 like this. "Legitimatly liscensed" my ass. Might as well fuse this one into the debate thread. This month stinks so far.

Just the Bateman guy saying "I assure you they are legitimately lisenced" after saying "without getting into details" doesn't quite solidify that they are in fact legit. Especialy when there are no details available from anyone.

Yeah, that is true, even on Saturday night they are editing some shows. Blue Gender wasn't too bad on the edits, and Inu Yasha is not being touched at all any more, so there is some hope at least. There wasn't really all that much to edit out of Seed. One episode a week though is kind of crazy for a 50 episode show. Yeah, that's how they did it in Japan, but come on. Oh well, fansubs for the moment, DVD's in fall.
