Indeed, that's a very nice touch. But the potential problem with that is that it might be revealing one the series' best secrets too early in the game. One thing about a live action translation is they can only be so crypic about certain things given the timeframe of the movie. So I would expect some things to be much more obvious or revealed quicker as it goes on. Other things will be left for possible sequels.

They'll promote Seed first, a change of plans from before, and then when Zeta nears it's DVD release and/or TV run (wichever comes first no doubt) they will start its promotion blitz.
-
They may have new missles/bombs in the queue to go with the new jet. There is all kinds of new stuff planned for the air-to-air category.

That's what depot maintenance is for. They had a similar NVIS system to what our Block 40 F-16's were getting.

Nothing can replace the cannon the A-10 was built around. The plane can destroy anything, and can take one hell of a beating. It deserves to stick around.

Right now it's just the left overs from G Gundam. The Seed/Zeta blitz hasn't started yet. Saw a Seed figure ad on TV the other day.

Very tempting.

One thing I like so far is that they really captured how these things do not look like good guy mecha. These evas look mean, properly organic and look like they need to be restrained. So far so good in that area. Still don't like the girls but the ARE just pre-production conceptual art pieces, so not a thing here is cast in stone.

Literally?

This is the previous version of the hangar I remember seeing. Yeah, I do remember the other one in there last time now too.

Shinji was never meant to be with Rei. They got close, may have devoloped some feelings for each other, but once the facts were discovered and laid out there was no way Shinji and Rei could have that kind of relationship. They were inching in that direction though, at a minimum becoming actual friends, which was another thing that severely pissed Asuka off. That the puppet could potentially take the Shinji she had been putting effort into away was a blow to her. It started back when Asuka moved into the apartment to do the synch training with Shinji, and he synched up perfectly with Rei right off the bat after having a tough time with her. She immediately saw competition. This was the argument Asuka made in the Kitchen during EoE. Shinji had been getting closer to Rei, but as soon as Ritsuko took Shinji and Misato to the lab and they learned what Rei was, he had no idea how to speak to her anymore. Asuka told Shinji he was afraid of Ayanami, afraid of Misato because of her stake in everything, so all that was left was Asuka for him to turn to, and she knew it and resented him for it. If that stuff had not happened, Shinji may well had been spending more time with Rei than her. She thought Shinji said he wanted to be with her simply because there was no one else for him to cling to. Rei had already been developing her feelings, even if she did not express it that much, and had the show continued on she very likely would have displayed more. Hopefully Asuka might have calmed down some. They really were polar opposites in several areas, and made for some interesting moments. Edit in: Damn I've been typing a novel today

zoomed in. This one was may be without some of its armor apparently. May just seem that way because of the black and white shading though.

One item of interest is that in the Rei pic, her name is spelled correctly on her plugsuit after all.

I toyed with keeping this in the other eva thread, but since that one was supposed to be about the ending anyway, I decided to do this in a new thread. I haven't watched the touched up episodes yet, but I did go through the new live action behind the scenes segment. All it was this time was an orchastrated slideshow of images. Bad news: outside of a few pics, they were the same ones as before. Good news: this time each shot was zoomed in on and panned so you could see some of the intricate details much better this time around. Example:

Actually the mikimoto isn't ready either. It's also a mockup. I've got the middle image but I don't have the two sides or top images. Grabbed those off the mainpage -> art -> mikimoto. I'll have to see if they're in the Movement book but if it's not I'll see about getting them. Oh, OK, I meant the design of the box at least anyway . If you can get the images it would make a really good alternative for those who liked the character oriented shot. Is still have to go with Blaine's

Great job Graham! Yay to front page traffic!

If I'm not mistaken some of these figures are from art books. The think I was the wedding dress figures in an artbook before along with some of the other figures that have been trickling out. There are gym figures of those two plus Hikari and others, there are pajami Rei and Asuka figures too. They seem to be pushing the market again pretty heavily. There have been lots of new resin statues too I know have been in various art pieces. Not to mention the new Chogokin evas and other figures. It's a good time to be an Eva fan again. What surprizes me though is there is not NEARLY as much Misato stuff. This group needs a good Misato I'd consider a resin even but I haven't seen any reasonably priced completed ones. I also have Kaiyodo's plug suit Rei and Askua put away.

Leading to what? Matrix

Combined with our AI robotics thread, we all know where this is leading.

If it did that badly, wouldn't it have bene cancelled too? I have heard there were some oddities in it, but overal was a very in depth story. I have yet to see any of it outside of a piece of one episode once and that's it. I look forward to seeing it eventually, thougn I want to see Zeta and ZZ first. F91 and Victory gundam suits averaged out at 15 meters, instead of the normal 18-20 average. I guess that's one reason for no MG yet.

Guld suffered repressed memories. Those wouldn't have shown up on any Psych test he would have been given. Once Isamu showed up, they were triggered and he began to have problems. He didn't start to have those flashbacks until Isamu arrived. The colonel let it go after that for fear or hurting the project, and chose to trust his pilots.
