I find your lacks of faith disturbing.

I've always figured the strike cannon is useful for larger targets, such as Quel-quallies and taking shots at capitol ships. For taking out squads of regults missles may be easier in general, but the close range power of the strike cannon could be useful in that sense as well, hence why when shown it's been a mix. Great mid-close range punch in that area. Both Stike Valks in DYRL had a cannon, and a missle pack, instead of just two strike cannons. A more useful spread of weapons. The GBP armore is just a walking weapons platform. Take away the transformation ability for the ability to destroy some targets quick. The VF-11C's full armor had the best balance of both worlds. The blistering power of the armor, a huge cannon, and when the armor wasn't necessary and speed would be preferred, the armor could be jettisoned, and normal fast packs remain. Best of both worlds. A very smart design.

I really want to see the Belldandy and Sailor Saturn when they're done, too. In fact, be sure to show us your work-ups of all 4 of them!

Hobbyfan is releasing a prepainted version of that kit. I pre-ordered it a couple of weeks ago.

Is there a better way to display your collection..

ditto on that. I am looking for cases since some of my toys are gathering dust. Me too. No luck so far. I'll visit one of the IKEA stores in my neck of the woods to see if they have one of those glass cases/cabinets. They don't have any huge cases from what I've seen. I found one that was nice, but I'll have to get two to suit my needs. Even then something is going outside. Maybe I'll hunt for a nice commercial cabinet. I want to find a balance between capacity, and being able to safely move the thing if I need to. So I may stick with the Ikea one I found. Get 3 someday if need be. Can't get any cases until I move again though. No space for anything else. -

Gotta go with glass. My limited shelf space now is dust magnet enough. Cleaning all those shelves, and Air dusting all those figures and models would be a pain in the ass. -
OK, thanks. You can probably see the cracks in the right intake from my second pic, too. I did a number on my Hikaru 1A . Let me know when you're ready for payment on L-L2 and R-L2 and I'll send that out.

6 hours later, I'm still amazed I saw a plane do that. That's just...damn. Reminds me of the autoslide from Wing Commander.

Club M - Nearly Done! (okay..still a while away)

OMG, you have them all Wow. Agreed, get building! -
I like it (not that I could safely display a kit like that). Good work. No it's not Millia, but it fits in a way as an interpretation. If you want to call it your Millia then go for it. Either way an impressive paint job. I am normally rather impressed with transparent paint jobs. All your other modeling benefitted you fine for a resin figure kit. Maybe try some Evangelion kits? There are tons of them in every scale and many of them seem easy enough, not too many parts. May be good for resin statue practice. I'm no painter to build any myself though, statues are not in my league.

Kind of like Bandai's HGUC line, for any alll UC designs including the obscure and stange ones, detailed yet affordable. Seriously though, whatever scale the rest of the valk like is made in, all that matters is that they are made, personally. 1/72, 1/100, I don't care. Hopefully this is just the beginning, as I stated earlier. I wouldn't rule out 1/72, but I won't speculate much on what scales they may be tempted ot use until more valks start coming. IMO the VB-6 is 1/100 for an easily justifiable reason, to keep it the same price point as a VF-1 w/ fast packs. Something unexpected like the VB-6 can only be a good sign, anything new is good, and many hearts skipped a beatI'm sure when they saw these pics first. Though I cannot stress the need enough for the YF-19 to make an appearance. Then all will be right with the world.

I paid 90 bucks for mine last year. Glad I did, because it's the only -19 I have other than Basara's Bandai VF-19. I like it just fine, yeah the sculpt is chunky, but it's something at least. That, and highly durable. It's dived off my desk twice and still kicking.

The boat has officially been missed on the low-viz. Had my chance to buy it normally last year, blew it, now I'll just wait for what's next.
-
Just the sheer fact that the damn thing can do all that is awe-inspiring. That, and warning bells should be ringing, cue the "do we need the F-22" thread.
-
Damn, solved that mystery. Great work! Now the question remains, if it really matters, which version was actually intended for Shin to be flying. I'll just take it as it is. Great analysis.

The M7 liscence Bandai holds would block any varients from that series. The VF-11C or D(Jamming Birds) Yamato couldn't do, hence M+'s VF-11B is what was made, and could be again. As far as anything else, from VFX2 (and M3 I guess), are fair game. Likewise no Diamond Force emblemed VF-17's, and no Max, Millia, and Gamlin VF-22's. A VF-22 with the YF-21's dark blue would be easy, or a grey one like that sctatch build (I would love that so much). So long as the -22 is overhauled greatly over the Yamato's failed YF-21FP. As far as no VF-22 head included with the YF-21FP, it could easily be explained that Yamato had the hopes of making a separate VF-22 eventually. Just like the no swappable VF-1 heads. There would be no problem doing a new VF-19A, once the damn YF-19 comes out, as well as new toys of the other valks, the VF-4, VF-5000 down to the VA-3 or the VF-14. I expect (and hope) now that since the VF-1 pool is effectively almost dry Yamato might be more tempted to use Mr. former-IHP sculptist effectively. Especially if the VB-6 sells well, which I have no doubt that it will. As far as VF-1's they could squeeze a CF 1/48 easily and a few more paint schemes (some more LE editions i.e. Angel Birds, etc.) but that's about it. The internal heat shield may not work on a D-model, wether they someday do a redesign may depend on how well the 1/60 versions sold. The retool cost in generating some two-seaters, especially since each of the 3 (D, VE, VT) would require modification and different fast packs, may be better applied to new valk designs, which would garner a lot of attention after the flood of VF-1's. Versatility is the key to survival, and Yamato has to do something more than the VF-1. The VB-6 is a hell of a way to start. Some more Zentraedi mecha would also be nice. Speaking of which, how did the Q-rau sell number's-wise? Did it fly off the shelves, or just sell respectably well?

The thighs are painted differently. Max is ALL blue, Millia has the white stripe with red on the outside. It is kind of odd.
-
Well I must say that I did enjoy the show. Maybe instead of being shot they should be eaten and "shat" out by the blue? Hey just what is it with those green pod things with faces?? What happened to make that?? The ones I got had chinese subs and their not so hot. As for the green pod thingies, that was explained very early on, and shown in the first episode actually. The blue don't get much energy from us individually, so they fold us up in those little balls and coat us with that goo, and when the pile of "pods" is big enough to be worth while, they feed. Right after Yuji wakes up, the two guys that were rolling his capsule down the hallway were killed and Yuji watched the blue fold them up, complete with listening to all the bones cracking. Kinda gruesome.
-
I enjoyed the show a good deal. The Armor Shrike was indeed an awesome mecha.
-
The Blue Gender Box Set is uncut.
-
The D's wings are also shaped totally wrong.

Are you referring to my part that you're planning to be de-glue? Because the intake I requested is one piece. The hip part plugs into it, and then the thigh's two halves wrap over this part and the knee. What is in this picture is what I need, and there should be no glue down there to remove this, or anything that attaches to it.
-
The wings are all wrong, and the VF-0 sculpts don't match Yamato's. They're some kind of statues or figures. The SV-51 looks kind of fixed mode to me. It does make me want a real SV-51 soon though.
