I have to admit that while the red one gave me a good run for my money as to telling that it wasn't a toy, something about the green one just screams CGI to me. I dunno how since I'm incompetent when it comes to CGI, but it just does. Either way, that's still one wicked model. Any other colour schemes in mind?

Maybe BW has nothing to say at all. Maybe both companies have finally realized that the Macross fan base isn't big enough to have 2 companies fighting over it and that they'd make more money working together. hopefully there will be some sort of news at the upcoming cons I'd be very happy to see that. As a fan of both shows, I just want to enjoy them both without all this hub-ub and pointless bickering between the two fanbases.

Be thankful for that. Here in Canada we just got Side Swipe out in the stores. How's that for being behind the schedule?

What IS anti-aliasing, anyway?

It looks small because the tires are lower down in Battloid mode than what we see in the anime and lineart. One thing I love are the little dings and paint chips I can see on that Cyclone. It makes the armour look used and with slapped-together maintanance. Just right for a game like this

Actually, I'm glad she's NOT coming with that huge gun. Leave that for the male Panzer Corps. Women like this are better suited to forward scouting positions, being smaller and faster than the majority of their male brethren. Besides, seeing a woman like that holding a gun that's half as long as she is tall is just wrong

Jog my memory please, sounds familiar *starts up treadmill* *puts Nightbat's memory on it* Run, run! *ahem* Sorry about that. Anyway, Visionaries was that toyline with all the holograms on the figures and the ships. The story line being that it was an advanced society that suddenly lost electricity of all kinds, so it quickly regressed into a medieval society. Then magic took over, with certain knights gaining the abilities to transform into magical animals. One guy became a lion, another turned into a cheetah, etc. Some of these knights had powerstaves that gave them extra abilities, while others could power up and run old vehicles from the age of technology. It was a great little show that sadly only lasted for 12 episodes. The first three were edited into a longer premier movie and was gorgeously animated, well above SDF Macross, Transformers, or even GI Joe levels of animation. Unfortunatly, the quality after that dropped like a stone due to lack of money, I guess. But the toys are still cool.

That'd be a first for these boards when it comes to anything that even remotely reflects on anything RT.

For me, it has to be the Visionaries. I loved the cartoon, and the toys were just plain cool.

Someone had better post screencaps or other pictures of this game. I wanna see!

Nah... your an RT-poo poo!!! In that case, what does that make me? Afterall, I've seen all three original shows and derivitives of them... and yet I still prefer RT. Guess that means I'm pretty high up on your hate-list, eh?

Is anyone else having trouble with HLJ's pages? I can't update my shipping address so I can buy this neat Guyver III. I fill out every field, click on submit, and it comes back saying I need to fill in my address fields (which I've already done). Any help would be appreciated.

Nah, keep the M7 threads around. If anything, it lets some of us who want to logically discuss the pros and cons of that show, though we have to dodge through the minefield of the "troublemakers" as you so colourfully term it. Besides, what else would we use to fill the hate-vaccuum? Anti-Robotech threads with nothing but pages and pages of "I hate it, kill kill kill!"? ... oh, wait. ... nevermind.

I suppose my views are squewed by the fact that I saw The Ring first and then tried to watch Ringu, but I vastly prefer the Ring. The Ring was perfect in its style and visuals and was able to convey the meaning of each scene without dialog, and the lighting was one of the best gaffing jobs I've seen in a movie. By contrast, I tried watching Ringu and got bored twenty minutes into it, not impressed by the camera work or the direction style.

I'll be damned, I KNEW there was something odd about some of those cloaked shots. Well, this clears up one mystery.

Reading some magazine articles about this movie, the producers state that there'll be about FIVE Predators in the film, and they were having a hell of a time trying to establish different personailities in the characters, given that they're aliens and don't talk or have any dialog As well, they decided to up the size of the wrist blades to make for a slightly more badass predator One thing I'd like to see is when they start releasing the trailers for this film, is one trailer for each species. An Alien-centric trailer, human-centric trailer, and one for those nifty Predators. Oh, and finally getting to see that shoulder targeting scope would rock.

The problem with that being is that AvP has been a franchise in comics/video games/etc. for YEARS now, going back as far as a decade for the original comic crossover. Long before any of the other X vs X that you so rightly slag.

I dunno about you, but if *I* were faced with an Alien (or more) in a darkened room, and it was coming towards me, I know that *I* would have my finger on that trigger for all it was worth One thing we need, though, are the motion trackers. That was one of Aliens' better introductions. Just hearing that beep was pretty darn creepy

Unlike everyone else here, I think this is actually shaping up to be a good movie. The creatures look spot-on perfect, and I really like the fact they're using as little CGI as possible.
