  1. Then don't. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything you don't want to. Just stick with your Yamato's and leave everyone else to make their own choices about what to spend their money on.
  2. It's getting a little clearer, thanks. But I still need a toy of my own to be sure
  3. Well, it *would* be if I had any inkling as to what you were trying to describe I must admit, this toy will solve a lot of the problems I have with understanding the Alpha transformation sequence, especially with those wings. I have no idea how the wings go from their position in Guardian mode to folded up on the back in Battloid mode. Oh, well. I guess this means I have to buy a few dozen and find out for myself, eh?
  4. Tell us, oh wise one, what DID happen to the Megaroad? It became the Miniroad?
  5. Bah, it's not that big a deal. Heck, your posts are easier to read than some of our native-english speakers Looking at those new pictures brings up a question. The only visible hinges I see are in the wings so the flaps can flip around to form the back. But what about the rest? How does the nosecone flip up and backwards without a big ugly hinge visible on the fusulage in Fighter mode?
  6. *waves his fingers in a hypnotic fashion* Give in... you must give in to your temptations... buy fleets of them... remortgage your house to finance your Alpha addictions...
  7. You can say that again. I'm loving the colour scheme they're chosen. Then again, I'm also okay with the metallic blue we were shown before
  8. Welcome to the world of double-standards. It's called "real life" and sooner or later, we all need to deal with it.
  9. *crack the whip* Post now!
  10. Better get used to that here, pal, if you're gonna stick around for any length of time. Trust me on this.
  11. At least it looks like they fixed those ugly seams in the legs.
  12. I was thinking the same thing. God, I'd love to hear good ole JMS on this issue. He never met a challenge to his rights that he didn't love I suppose everyone is just glossing over the fact that Robotech has been using "Shadow Fighters" and "Shadow cloaking devices" right from the original show, eh?
  13. Does anyone have the tiny teaser pic of the Gamma fighter that RT.com released many, many moons ago?
  14. J.K. Simmions' JJJ is one of the best reasons to go see the Spider-Man movies. They cast that role PROPERLY. And Hoffman. Hoffman is funny
  15. According to the DVD features for Daredevil, the character of Elektra in the movie was so well-received that the people in charge decided that while she was dying on the rooftop, she was revived in the ambulance ride to the hospital. That's how she was able to leave her cartouche on Matt's rooftop for the final scene in DD. Here's hoping to getting DD at least a guest-star bit in this movie.
  16. I can you exactly how most here on MW will react.
  17. The thing about Venom and the symbiotes is that they are by far the most popular villians Spider-Man ever faced, bar none. I think it all ties in to the very personal motives driving Eddie and the suit; they want to beat on Spidey and nothing more. Nothing about money, power, fame, or whatnot. They just want to take Spidey, rip out his spine, flay the flesh from his bones, and feed homeless people with his remains. While Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Electro, etc. all have history with Spider-Man, none of them were ever nearly popular as Venom is.
  18. Part of what makes Venom so cool is the personal confict the Eddie Brock/symbiote have with Spider-Man. All of the other villians battle with Spidey out of a conflict on the streets, in the bank, or wherever. All the villians have some other plot going on when Spidey breaks in and shuts them down. Venom, on the other hand, exist soley to break Parker into itty bitty spidey bits. They have no other goal, no other plan in mind. Just Parker and making him pay. That could make for a rather interesting change of pace in the superhero movie genera.
  19. Buying boxes of ammo... in a WALMART? Uhhh... room... spinning... *Canucklehead passes out*
  20. Yeah, like it's at all possible to ignore an avatar like *that* Anyone here going to AX this weekend? There will be a completed Alpha MPC on display in the Robotech booth, along with some gameplay footage from the new game.
  21. *claps his hands over his eyes* I didn't just read any of that! All jest aside, you do make several good points and most of them are true. However, it would've been nice to design and actually field some military equipment on our own, since I for one am tired of being the garage sale military country.
  22. So what else is new? SAAB springs to mind for just that reason...
  23. You're not the only one. Second that!!! Triple that, here. Bah, cancelling that project was probably only a PR move. There's probably whole fleets of them in hidden bases under the Canadian Shield...
  24. Batman TAS had THE best characterization of Batman that I have ever seen, comics included. Batman is the ultimate control freak, and it's only in TAS that that is shown properly. Most shows and movies show it as Bruce Wayne that puts on a batsuit and goes about at night, with Batman being the lesser of his two sides. TAS shows it as Batman is the one who wears the costume and goes out during the day, and it's Bruce that is the lesser of the two. The latter is my favourite definition of Batman, bar none. Probably make the actor blind...
