Star Wars Episode 3 Spoilers Thread

Plus, there's this nifty little thing called "The Force" that allows its users to perform deeds that would otherwise be impossible. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Anakin called on the Dark Side to save his life while he was burning in the lava/hot sand. -
Yeah, I prefer the beefier one, too. Just looks better, in my opinion.

I've said it before, and I'm gonna say it again: Whomever came up with this idea is a sheer genius.

Harriers can also only hover for about 90 seconds, before the engine would become overheated. While it's hovering, an on-board watertank is used to help cool the engine. Is a VF-1 restricted in this fashion also, or can it hover for much longer periods? According to the Compedium, the VF-1x was was limited to 120 seconds, whereupon the VF-1X updates could hover for 70 seconds. But that still doesn't deal with the problem of all that superheated gas spewing out the end of the engine. That'd cause real troubles for any landing pad if it was used very often.
-
Another problem with going to GERWALK mode for landing is you have to deal with all that engine thrust going out the engines. It IS superheated air/fuel exhaust, so you have you to be careful about what exactly you point it at. There's a reason why Harrier jets don't hover over concrete and urban areas. They'd melt the concrete in no time flat (for the Harrier scene in True Lies, they had to rebuild the entire parking lot because the exhaust melted it).

Very true, though there is a slight addition to this: Right Click, Set As Wallpaper Now then, about airbrushing us some Cyclones...

Star Wars Episode 3 Spoilers Thread

This flick is gonna rock. My only question is with all this combat and fighting going on (Republic warships, Windu et al vs Sidious, Anakin vs Jedi, Anakin vs Obi-Wan, Yoda vs the audiece) I wonder if there will be enough time left over to make a decent plot to string them together. If there isn't, we'll just get Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat again. Not really. It's just that the older you are, the more experience you have with manipulating and using the Force, thus you're able to call on it in greater and greater amounts. Yoda used that control (plus the extra power he absorbed from Dooku's lightning) to give himself a short burst of speed, and I imagine Sidious to be doing something similar. It just happens to be that the more advanced Force techniques can make lightsaber combat somewhat... clumsy, by comparison -
Well, hurry up and post 'em!

Last I heard, it is going to be an OVA DVD release followed by a network TV release. And while I find those spandex uniforms to be bad, nothing will compare to the football pads worn by Basara. -
I've given up on SG-1. It was the best show on TV until the writers decided to clobber us over the head with the Jack/Sam relationship. That killed the show for me and I've since stopped watching it altogether. Stargate: Atlantis, on the other hand, is one of the best shows out there. Tight writing, excellent acting, and some very interesting storylines make for a good sci-fi show. I'm loving it far more than I ever did SG-1.

Welcome to the club I bought my X-Box to play Knights of the Old Republic and it came stock with the original controller. Over the 44 hours it took me to beat that game, I got used to it and comfortable playing with it. Since I've now replaced that Box to play Knights of the Old 2 and it came stock with the Controller S, I'm now learning how to use that controller, though I prefer the original. Maybe I should just stop playing KotoR games -
I've seen that silver-transparent colour technique used on a Cutey Honey kit, and I have to say that that style of painting always blows me away. Getting that candy apple red simply outshines any other painting method (pun not intended) and it always makes me want to try my own hand at it. Still, great kudos to your sculpting skill and painting style. Absolutly top-notch.

LOL....thought I'd stumbled onto a sex advice forum for a second there . Graham Yes, you have stumbled into one. Just look at the DOA Figure and Minmay Chinese Dress thread for confirmation

Am I the only one that acutally liked the original X-Box controller? I really liked the placement of the White and Black buttons for that sucker and absolutly despise their placement on the Controller S. -
Every man thinks that... right before she slits his throat

Hey, the Gameglove wasn't that bad. For it's time, it was a pretty nifty thing. Of course, I also remember that over-the-shoulder bazooka that came with the SNES. That was also pretty neat -
How appropriate phrased since that's Scott Bernard

Based on the Superposable, destablizer will be okay, but it appears that Toynami are opting for head change/repaint Shadow, so no major body changes. Mostly with that I'm annoyed by retaining the sensor "flap" Cyc So was I until I realized that that flap needed to... well... flap up and onto the shoulder to give a space for the cockpit canopy to go in Battloid mode.

You make it sound like that's a bad thing I'm alright, and even glad, for a little T&A. But lately I've been really turned off by the excessive T&A out there. It just seems to me that the programmers/writers/whomever is trying to cover up some gameplay/script deficencies by throwing some more tits and ass at the viewer. "Game or movie not up to snuff? Give 'em a woodie and that'll fix everything!" is just really grating on my nerves. Everquest and Sudeki spring to mind as perfect examples.

Exactly, so the thing might have enough range and onboard payload to destroy one or two targets, ok, but after that threat eliminated, it can't get additonal fuel or weapons on its own. Also, how the heck is that thing suppossed to hover? And, do these morons realize how big and how high an explosion has to be in the atm in order to be seen from space at the distance they are showing? Perhaps these issues are addressed in the movie. It could be that with the deletion of any meatbag pilot, all that empty space for cockpit, lifesupport gear, etc. are converted to fuel and payload. But seriously, we won't know more until the movie actually comes out. And I don't know about you, but I know that I wouldn't want to be in one of those "one or two target" zones you mentioned. One or two is more than enough to cause a heck of a lot of damage.

Who-eeee. That is one pretty toy when all the stickers and labels are applied.

Actually, I was rather surprised by that. Normally it is that the AI goes rogue on its own without any outside influences. Skynet, HAL, Sharon Apple... the list goes on and on, so I'm rather pleased that Stealth isn't going with that over-wrought route and is going for something a little different. And yes, those specially designed T&A flightsuits are annoying, but they're not nearly as bad as they could have been and they're uniform across the gender board. I'd be having a much more ranting time if they'd given Her Albaness a special, womens-only flightsuit that had the midriff showing...

If this game had anymore T&A in it, it'd be on the same level as Blood Rayne. Honestly, what's wrong with having a female character NOT designed to give the 18-35 year-old male crowd a hard-on? Sheesh.
