Great Gundams you got there. What makes the special version of the RX-78 origin special? I don't remember seeing it around... -

Quick question, where did you find the Hayato-Benkei-Musashi package??? I have been looking for it in every on-line store but could not find it. Thanks! -
That looks awesome! I have been dreaming about this since the early 90s. I think the only Zero kit available so far was the one from Bandai which was a sort of HG 1/60 scale. Too bad it won't be in scale with the Ingram MG from bandai which, if i remember correctly, are a 1/35 scale. Now i just have to find somebody who can build it and paint it!

Your video is really touching, thank you for making it. I loved many of his movies. The first on the list is Aliens but i thought he was great also in True lies(although with a smaller part) Near dark, U-571 and many many others. I also would like to remember him for Frailty, his first and i think best attempt as a director.

Alien: Covenant (formerly known as Prometheus 2)
Ryoma replied to taksraven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It's exactly the opposite. I want to love this movie! The Alien franchise is what brought me to become a director (mainly theater though). When Prometheus came out i flew from Italy to England just to watch it (the international release was in june, the italian one was in october i think)...i just couldn't wait! If you read my previous posts i only criticized the trailer not the movie and i just wrote that i did not know how to feel about this new release. I really wish it could be a masterpiece, like the first two films. What i found despicable is to cast actors who are famous mainly for their roles in comedies(and most of them are almost parodies) in such dramatic roles. Also I did not like Franco in his more dramatic attempts. I think he was good only in Spiderman(the first one) and in 127 hours, well, i appreciated the try but i thought he was not strong enough in order to hold an entire movie on his shoulders. Other smaller movies like Good people, Child of god or the Sound and the fury(among the ones i saw, but there are others) i think they were more than forgettable Again, as somebody wrote before take a look at the "dinner scene" in the first and in the second movie. If you compare the three you will notice how much better the old ones work, especially for the perfomances of the actors. I could even go further and tell you that, from a directioral point of view, what i saw in the trailer was not staged well and the geography of the scene was not used in the right way. But this is irrelevant because these are just tecnihcal details and i should watch the entire movie in order to give a more complete critique. Believe me, I hope with all my heart that the entire cast and crew prove me wrong and that the movie will be great. But what i saw so far does not look good, in my opinion.- 352 replies

Alien: Covenant (formerly known as Prometheus 2)
Ryoma replied to taksraven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The only part Franco can play decently is the stoned guy. He is not believable in any other role. I think he did good in the first Spiderman too but that was a long time ago. Since then he had time to destroy his reputation. I don't even want to talk about McBride. Overweight, with that cowboy hat....it almost looked like a parody to me...God, the first thing i thought was...Spaceballs!- 352 replies

I think the movie is miscasted. It's not about the quality of the acting, it's about putting the right people in the right places.- 352 replies

First of all, thank you for posting this new trailer sh9000. Although my heart bleeds to say this, this last trailer looks just awful. I always wondered why James Franco was in a movie like this and i still don't know. I mean, him being the captain of the ship...it doesn't make any sense, very poor casting choice. Anyway the overall choice of actors seems really lame(except for Fassbender of course. He is always amazing and will probably save the movie). Despite a script with some holes in it and bad dialogue i did like Prometheus but i really don't know how to feel about this now.- 352 replies

You are not wrong. Our postal service di get better in the last few years though. I personally never had a package lost or stolen but most of my parcels are shipped via private carriers. The real problem now is waiting 10 days or more to get an EMS shipment and the import fee who is about 25% of the value of the item and the shipping(totally ridicouolus).
-
I got my RA today. The wait was long. Too long. 10 days and it was shipped via EMS. I took a look at the EMS website and it was actually reported that "due to stricter custom clearance" i might have experienced some delays. Well, that was true. I actually laughed a little when i read that because Italy was put in the same group of countries like the Gaza strip, Haiti, Georgia. I don't mean to be disrespectful to any other country or members who post here, but being treated like a war zone or a third world country is really sad. Although i do realize every day more and more that in the last few years Italy is becoming a third world country or in some case even worst. Anyhow I just wanted to warn any other Italian member on this forum: If you are waiting for some package shipped via EMS you should expect some delays. Anyway, back to business, i did not put the parts on my VF-0S yet. They look very nice but i was a little disappointed by the lack of panel lines(which is something Arcadia does since the 0D) and the sticker sheet definitely had less stickers than i was expecting. Hopefully Arcadia was able to produce some better quality stickers at least.

I am ambivalent about this. The old SV-51 clearly needs some improvements but what if i replace my old Ivanov and then Aracadia won't release Nora and CF? Will i get stuck with a new SV-51 and two old ones? That would not look good. Second, i dislike most of the things Arcadia did with the Zero line. The only release i really liked was the 0S which was a really great piece(and that i bought for the RA). But I do have to confess that i consider myself a very lucky guy since that i never had a single issue with the old Yamato models from the Zero series. So i guess i will stick with them for now

Macross 7? Then we don't care about that one, right?
-
Me too! I can't wait to have it in my hands! I have been waiting for this since the first time i saw Macross zero back in 2003-04. Now i am just thinking about a picture with all the different armored parts...so far we have: VF-0S ROY, VF-1J HIKARU, VF-25S OZMA....Am i missing something? Did not go completely trough delta yet but my understanding was that only super parts appeared in the series. Maybe a VF-11?

I will never forgive yamato for not making a VF-1S max and and a VT-1 Ostrich in the 1/48 line. They would have looked awesome. And i always felt the 1/60 v2 was a step back compared to them. Now i know that we will never see again any 1/48 valks but i am still very proud of them and they will always have a special place in my heart and on my shelves
-
I have to admit that i always had a crush on Max's VF too. Especially the VF-1S in DYRL. I also pre-ordered Keith's Draken but for me what got me of that aircraft is the mix between the "fantasy" elements(the sword, the golden lines, the emblem, the shield etc.) and the war-machine feel, especially with the super/fast pack(which i am really looking forward to). Actually now that i think about it what really got me into Delta in the beginning was the J-RPG atmospehere that there was in the first 10-12 episodes or so. Sorry if i am going OT!

I agree, but supporting to me means also defending, attacking, destroying, dog-fighting etc. things that we do see quite often during the series(well, at least the first part). Now i understand that the color scheme of the kairos would have been out of place for the tone of the show but a compromise between the "rainbow brite" color schemes and a more serious pattern would have worked much better for me(Look at Messer's unit: i think it's the most badass among the five and it's the one who had more appeal for most of the macross fans. And whoever tried to pre-order one would agree with me).

The kairos looks great! I hope we will see a DX from bandai soon. It also reminds me of how much i l hated the multicolored VF-31 from the Delta squadron. I mean, i loved the general mecha design of the series but there were way too many colors on the main characters mechs. They really didn't look like war machines and that was some sort of a let down for me, especially after the Frontier mechs.

Well, those valks were like a dream coming true at that point of my life. It's just a joy looking at them so i see what you say. Also my vf-1j is in very good shape but she has been "covered" for years by the GBP armour. The best one is still Roy VF-1S; in all these years she hasn't aged a day!
-
They are still my favourites. Although i do have to say that they did yellow a lot in the last couple of years. Especially angel bird, max and hayao VF-1A DYRL....they are in pretty bad shape.I do understand that we are talking about toys that are pretty old, i think some of them are almost 15 years old so I can't really complain about that. I would like to buy them again but I am just worried that, even if they are MIB, they might have yellowed anyway.
-
Well, that would be really awesome! I think it would make a huge difference, especially on one of my favourite valks i am willing to spend a bit more in this case...any ideas about where to get one?

Wait, is that the Arbalest? If it is i'd love to get one. Quick question and i am sorry if am off topic. Are the pre-orders for metal build as crazy as the ones for Macross? -
1/48+fp's, 1/60+fp's, 1/72, 1/2k, 1/3k,1/100 and now 1/144
