By the way, I've read at Yaco that those extra weapon set for Megahouse is a mail-away...

I second that scream... CM's Mospeadas are looking better and better as scan resolution goes up... Thing is, those thruster fins on the wheels can actually fold and retract inside. Neat. I just might get both CM's and Megahouse. Time to sell my other toy collection. I can sell off whichever I ended up not liking anyways.

CM's and Megahouse both look great to me. Only issue I have is I am having a bad headache trying to pick which one to get. CM's Mospeada has a moving visor with a decent face sculpture inside for size, hense a larger head. Lack of any parts swap makes CM's a very desireble toy event though it sacrifices propotion a bit. The question is, can CM's cut the line? I see no preorders so far. For me, I am still keeping my preorder for Megahouse ones as they look much more detailed. I am also thinking Megahouse may not feature perfect transformation, but I hope I am wrong.

Missile bay gimmick on tread is just great. I would like to see missiles on Legioss as toynami missile bays are total mess. Mini gang will be painted in different colors. I didn't know those are in 1/48 scale... Man this thing would be huge...

My Megahouse Orguss is a quality figure and has been a lot of fun going through somewhat complex transformation. I think Orguss can give a good benchmark for the upcoming Mospeadas. Quality of palm action figures improved drastically ever since Megahouse stopped using PVC. (Megahouse Nikick is made of PVC, and it is a floppy mess.)

I saw somewhere that Mospeada weighs 290 pounds....

MP5 stands tall. It is much taller than MPSS. Looks much better in person proportion-wise as well. I'd also say it's worth the money. Edit: There are some pegs that worry me, some review sites show where they are. You just have to know where you should be careful with. Other than that, it actually survived 4-foot drop onto a hard floor after a battle against my cat, so it's pretty tough as well.

Me too. CM is about to be done with their brave go-kin Ippatsuman and Gaiking stuff (November release). Unless they change their mind once again, my money is on CM is getting back on track with their tread.

I trust EMS as it's a very quick option. Mint just looks great on Rei's Mospeada. I wouldn't worry about butt ache as her butt is made of high impact plastic. So, that panel display shows Blowsperior and then Bartley with "TUMN" at the bottom. I was expecting to see the rest of the line by next summer. Just excited to know that complete collection of transformable ride armor is finally possible. (Oh, I forgot dark mospeada...)

The computer and electronics super geek superthread...

I wonder if there are any 2U aftermarket cooler that fits 8800 GT. Those pull air from the inside and exhaust to the back of PC, so it's like a case fan on it's own. I am thinking my long overdue GPU upgrade would be a 8800GT, though it seems sold out at many places... -
Megahouse is officially "non-scale", but it is about 1/15 IIRC. So far, Megahouse won my ride armor contract unless something else makes me cancel my preorder. I still hope Mint appears as a bonus figure in either Bartley (Houquet) Type or Blowsperior.

I used to love those continuous paper for dot matrix printers. Perforated goodness.... -
I was hoping for grey low-vis or Dobber scheme. So far, Ivanov scheme is my favourite. So this one is SV-51 alpha? I see the starboard gun though...

I am thinking it would look better with face guard kept closed.

Those pics made me think my MP prime needs to be complete after all. I am still having a hard time finding the MP trailer that openes up though. I see a lot of MP trailer on ebay, but without outriggers, so they must be the earlier ones.

Takeshi Murakami Exhibit at MOCA Los Angeles
konimon replied to miriya's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've seen that girl-former displayed at Kaiyodo in Akihabara a long time ago. Although not the life size one, but it was quite a large kit. I had no idea that was Murakami... Nosecone idea was extremely bizzare, but that's how VF-0/1's are if I think about it... If this was something more fembot mecha like thing (sans flesh). That would be something I might get. -
Darth Star even has gunbuster shield, er... cape. That's pretty neat. Best thing is it looks good in both modes. I wish other SW-formers had this quality. I've gotten payload. Dropkick would have been better, but I am happy to find any Deluxe figure these days.

Aoshima rep. told Yaco to hold onto the Legioss' until they figure out what to do with them (exchange, replacement parts, or perhaps even refund). I highly doubt doing exchange would fix the problems. Imagine Aoshima had to do refunds. Gakken reissue might turn out be cost effective... So who owns Gakken molds??

Fraulein is the name of the new revoltech series. Supposedly the guy behind revoltech saber made this joint system. They feature shoulder and leg revo joints embedded inside the body, hence it's more optimized for female figures rather than robots. As for the reason why they are Fraulein, I have no idea. Maybe it just sounded good...

Kaiyodo's new Fraulein Revoltech might be a good news for Revy fans. http://www.kaiyodo.co.jp/revoltech/next.html

If she turns into Kekkou Kamen, that will save the show.

I totally agree that MP3 repaints have always been inevitable. What I meant though was Takara intended to make less colorful scheme for their seekers and that most likely would not affect Skywarp and Thundercracker. Original MP3 was SS in its own right. I don't think that was a mere low-vis version of SS. Kawamori would've said something about that weathering at least. BTW, Although I prefer horizontal stabilizers were kept at lower legs like G1 SS, color scheme aside, Kawamori's redesigned F-15 was a pretty good one seen from top. Hinged nosecone was something I wished Yamato 1/48 VF-1 had.

Aoshima surely saved some money by this. It is a good move for them as this is the only option for us to get a modern transformable Legioss. They probably wanted to rush this release by doing minimal and mostly esthetic tooling before the market becomes like Cyclone/Mospeada's (which is good for collectors like us).
-
I think the sprue might have caused this problem as Takara probably didn't think of catoon accurate scheme when they were molding SS with that original greenish color, but that's just my guess. $50 price tag didn't make any room for color correction either... This SS does look funny as he looks like he's put together with electrical tape or something. Too bad Mr. Kawamori didn't get to modify THIS SS.
