I second that!! One of the MW members kindly did a pdf version of a couple of wmcheng's step by steps. It would be nice to have them (and newer ones) available in the main site.

Valkyrie Cut Away from Movie Artbook

Those black circles with the line running through (the only thing I could find labeled "vernier thruster")? I thought it's been said that those are thrusters. What are you saying they are? The vernier thrusters located rearward on the dorsal surface in front of the main engine nozzles are mislabeled as being lights. In Kiyomi Tanaka (Studio Nue)'s VF-1S Battroid cutaway schematic they are labeled as vernier thrusters. These do not have the hook-handle bar feature. Interesting the Hasegawa Battroid model has them as lights not verniers (I think having verniers there is a good idea!!) Studio Nue member Kiyomi Tanaka might have been mistaken when he drew them as vernier thrusters. In the VF-X-1 prototype there were the same type of verniers, but on the opposite surface (front / bottom) of the leg/engines pods as drawn by Shoji Kawamori. These maybe composite optical sensor units (red in color, but sometimes depicted as being yellow) like the ones on the arms units (wrists). However, I would go with concept that they are vernier thrusters based on what is available. Yes, we must follow the official info available... but: In the Hase battroid the single units in the arms are protected by a transparent flat window. In early colored drawings they (the arm units) appeared clearly as lights or red lenses. The leg units a re very similar to the arms ones and one could think they have the same function. -
Thanks Jesse and Grayson!! Already in contact with J. Danke jwinges

Sorry, I think I'm lost: how much are they and are still available? (I mean Jesse's recasts) Thanks

I insist: Academy is a reputable model maker (at least nowadays, has anybody seen it's 1/32 F-18?? it's gorgeous) This VF-2SS is a bootleg or not?

Good photo!! For the rainbow: did you use photoshop? Looking good so far (not the rainbow, I mean the VF-11)

heh...when I was down in Peru, the locals kept calling me "chino" (pronounced "chee-no", Spanish for Chinese as you mentioned). I'd tell them I'm not. Then they'd say "yapan"? Again, no. They'd scratch their heads in confusion. So finally, I'd tell them I'm Korean. But they're still confused. Obviously, they don't know what a Korean is. So I'd show them a little world map I carry around and point to Korea. They got the idea that Korea was close to China and Japan. But after all this, they'd say, "But you sound American!" So, just to confuse them even more, I'd start speaking German. Ha!! Peru has a very strong japanese comunity. They even had a president who is a japanese descendant: Fuyimori (nowadays he is assyled in Japan) and they called him EL CHINO, Go figure!!!

Thanks for sharing!! Can't wait to see more!

What is the size of that thing? Nice, but the Monster from the Macross pencil sharpeners looks much better...and can be recasted in metal too... maybe it is just a recast of it?

BOLUDO!! my neighbors/friends i skate with are from argentina! good food, good music, good friends. they even got me drinking "man-te"(sp?). its kind of crazy that i skate with a bunch of people that i can hardly understand but we chill together all the time....argentina's know how to have a good time. me...NYC Yes we are very BOLUDOS...indeed. Very funny!! It's almost surrealistic that you skate with argentinias in NYC. Mate is good but no for my stomach. <....argentina's know how to have a good time> yes, and that seems to be one of our biggest problems...

haha south america doesn't exist! hehe, your life was all made up and implanted into your head like total recall. born in Taiwan-Taipei, went to Cali-LA when I was 6...been here the rest of my life...lived for a few month in other countries for fun and "business" will spend more time overseas soon. but just can't stay away too long from the cali girls...yum yum. Ohhh no, so it was true... I knew it: I've never believed that a country like Argentina could exists in a real world. Then I'm from nowhere.

Good in the box review!! Thanks. About the 'Many thanks to my wallet...' I know that HLJ sponsors some model sites (I personally know the case of the Modelersite that was literally saved by Scott himself, you can still find an editorial he wrote about it) Modelersite I even made a model he sent for an article in the MS. I don't know why he would not help a site such as SM or MW. Maybe you can get some samples for free from them though a retailer price (30% off) is much likely.

Man-how many times do I have to say it The site is MORE than just the forums http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models...ootleg_main.htm geeez Newbies... Oh well, maybe he thought that Academy is not a bootleger company. Are you sure this a bootleg of the Bandai kit or it is just an authorized copy??
-
That's my guess. Yes, I found that little bastard too by doing a quick search in Google, very similar to Nue's design.

What's that thing that is flying below the XB-70? seems to be one of those lifting bodies from NASA with a pair of engines.... interesting...the sides are similar to the QF-3000E Ghost

No battroid mode??? Not even gerwalk??? Thanks WJ!! I love the real valk!!
-
And where are the LERX (those black things that should extend down at the sides of the nose in battroid )???? BTW: the toy looks much better than the CG in M0 main site

I think I would not be OT with my last finished model (I hate it!!! I think I would never choose this Gundam for making such a big model) it is the Bandai 1/144 Deathscythe: EDIT: reduce pic size

How many years have you been posting here?

June 2001 IIRC. I was a lurker here befor that date but thought that posting in the forums would distract me from my work a lot (I was sadly right...) -
What are the dimensions of Tanmen's model? Nanashi: so, the guys at the RPG sites are not that wrong. Thanks for making the estimates.
-
Very cool though! I wonder if this program is still on going or it was scrapped? Quote from Invisible Defenders: The original F-117N concept was evaluated during the summer of 1993 and rejected by Pentagon and Navy acquisition officials. They concluded that the F-117N was a single-mission aircraft weighted for night operations and would add another costly logistics component at a time when the Navy was trying to reduce the number of aircraft types on its carrier decks. Questions also arose about Lockheed's cost figures.

Thanks Nanashi, that is something I was affraid of... It's a pitty because there very good three views of the Cat's Eye. The only size reference are the pilots. So i guess that the dimensions in those fan sites are also estimates and can be used as well so lenght: ~20m.

Waiting for HLJ sending that email confirming shipping... (BTW I still wait for my VF-0...lost in the mail???) I don't like very much the center fuselage getting that low. Maybe it's just the pic but it looks weird.
