  1. The color scheme or the color scheme along with the different fastpacks? Because the fighter image shows different FPs. If Yamato does decide to do this paint scheme they might not retool the fastpacks.
  2. Looks like yellow tape/adhesive of some sort... ***EDIT*** Yes I agree, that's how Bandai should have done it. Unfortunately they probably thought ahead and said too many people would notice the easy scratch-able paint; scrapped the idea saving themselves the money and complaints.
  3. Since people requested pics of the clip mod (soft crotch syndrome remedy)... Michael can now stand proud! I apologize for the blurry pic, it was the best I could get with my lame camera skills. To elaborate what you're seeing... the two white 0.01" inch 3x5mm sheets are between the housing and the actual clip. The clip was removed then the two sheets were super glued to the clip and wedge back into the housing. Credit goes to Dio for providing this mod! Uhh... second pic is of me holding him by his uhh... midsection connecter (crotch), suspended nearly horizontal only by my hand.
  4. Sorry to kill your hopes on the VF-25g, but yes the tampo rubs off or scratches very easily. Can't confirm on the reissued Alto since AE hasn't sent me a shipping notice yet. Funny... I preordered and paid about a week before their preorder cut-off deadline. Somehow others were able to get theirs sent before they (AE) went on vacation. Plus, their reissue Alto stock is currently out/backordered... figured they would've sent an out of stock, or "sorry we couldn't fill all orders which includes yours" kind of a notice. ***EDIT*** AE order status: Standing
  5. Follow up to the soft groin syndrome... I was too lazy to make a hook and went with Dio's idea. I used two 0.01" 3x5mm styrene sheets along with crazy glue on both sides of the outer walls of the gray connector and the fit is tighter than new. It's like viagra for the VF-25G! I can hold it horizontally by the groin now and it doesn't come apart at all (even with some shaking, lol).
  6. Thanks for the info Dio! Yea I got some styrene sheets laying around. I'll probably result to that if my hook idea doesn't work out too well. ***EDIT*** Bleh, I was too lazy to make a hook and went with your idea Dio. I used two 0.01" 3x5mm styrene sheets along with crazy glue on both sides of the outer walls of the gray connector and the fit is tighter than new. It's like viagra for the VF-25G!
  7. Yea... I'm still working on this project. XD
  8. Yea, I've thought about that. Like adding a small thin layer of some kind of epoxy, but I was also thinking of something a bit more permanent. Like adding a hook. LOL... it won't be soft groin anymore, but soft hooklike groin!
  9. LOL, soft groin. I'll probably take it apart in another week after my finals are over to see if there's some alternative to fixing it.
  10. I got my VF-25G in last week and had it sitting on the side (due to my finals) in battroid mode. I've only transformed it from fighter to battroid twice (fighter, batt, fighter, batt not consecutively). Today after I had put the fast pack on and let it stand for a few seconds to admire it the thing just collapsed in half. It seems like the groin/crotch connector can't bare the extra weight. This is really a poor technical decision on Bandai's part. I think if they added some sort of hook along with the current connector it could've definitely made the battroid mode more stable. With the crappy tampo application (which rubs off pretty easily) I would have to say the groin/crotch connection problem takes the cake. ***EDIT*** I know for a fact that if/when I use the stand in battroid mode it would be fine, but that shouldn't be the solution.
  11. Not really so much of a bisecting line, but the upper half and lower half do meet at a point/line. You can see this from the reflection of the light if you zoom in really close. Also I don't recall the visor being so pulled/sunken into the face. Probably for transformation reasons if anything... I suppose.
  12. I realized something... the gunpod is molded/painted in Max's VF-22S color. XD ***EDIT*** Also I'm agreeing with some on this thread. I'm not really feeling the head for some reason. It's like the visor is too thick (?) from top to bottom. Somehow I feel it should be thinner. Everything else looks really nice.
  13. That's a 1/72 Hasegawa kit painted by the company VF-1RIDERS. They made YF-21/VF-22S battroid conversions for the Hasegawa line.
  14. @ len d69 Nice display, but where's the chunkies? XD
  15. Nice work! XD
  16. @ eugimon... LOL at the pic. Toys are out to play, but HP box in the background states printer MISB... jking. I guess I'm mostly the first and third group. Not to buy two just to keep one and sell the other, but one to play with and when I get the space the other is going in my display case. I find it quite difficult to allocate the time to know exactly what products will actually appreciate over time and when to sell them off. If that were the case I would say that investing in the stock market would be the better choice. For some reason the quote out of the movie the 40 Year Old Virgin came into mind: "is it true that if you don't use it, you lose it?" LOL.
  17. Great work!!!
  18. Nice work! More pics plox...
  19. I apologize for the lack of updates, better pics and more primer, but school has got me good this semester (especially my Operating Systems class, the professor "isn't that great"). I made some progress about a month ago, but never got around to doing more work and taking better pictures. Max P.S. I've been working with Maya and made a YF-19 which is going to be included in a 20 second animation for my groups final project. I wanted to put more work on the 19 since the 19 is one of my favorite planes, but my team member wanted to keep it low poly and I'm still new to Maya. However, it was good enough that my professor thought it was one of the better models of the entire class. ***EDIT*** Of course any constructive criticism, comments are welcome. Thanks! 20. Hey guys, I've worked on the project since I've last posted, but haven't had the chance to taking more pictures and posting them. I'll try to get some up by next week. I have this programming project I need to get out of the way for my OS class. -=X I've started etching out the panel lines and other markings. You'll see them when I post up the pics. Max "School has me in the gutter atm... >.>"
  21. Wicked- Yea, you're still on the list. When the project is complete and a casting window becomes available then I'll create a separate thread for orders. I'll go through this thread to check with everyone who stated they were originally interested and see if they still are. Max
  22. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hey Everyone, I've been on break the past week and a half. Aside from the holidays, family events and stuff I made some more time to start up on the project again. I was able to work on the canopy some more and get some more sanding done. I primed up the parts for the smoothing out process and any other rough areas I may have missed with my eyes. I still have to etch/detail all the parts, and define the mounting holes on bay covers (for the display mount). Here are some more pics, enjoy:
  23. Sorry everyone, but the project is on hold due to my finals. -=\
