  1. ah yes, the weak hip joint plagued by the first issue vf-11b. I have fixed mine, then put it back in the box...seems ok now...it's inside a climate controlled 5 inch thick safe buried under my house.
  2. I don't have the manga to read, but was shion the original pope that was killed by Saga? when they showed the original pope dead on star hill, he looked more like Shiryu.
  3. cool! DYRL hands!! so that order from japan for the 15,000 sets was for yamato! haha I wish. definitely cool that they're doing that just like the fixed posed ones for the 1/60 gbp...thank god they got the size right this time tho. and I wonder how they're going to make the gun hand fit while the armors on...probably put it in some wierd angle.
  4. usually means a shiny silver coating to the model kits...can be removed tho if you want with thinner.
  5. as far as collecting star wars figures...good luck getting them ALL. they put out so many exclusives a year...you're bound to go crazy trying to get them all. plus all the vehicles, 12" figures, playsets, delux craps...oh forget about it. then you get 6 of the same figure...luke with hat, luke with cloak, jedi luke, luke with blaster, luke with battle damage, luke with...you get the idea. my suggestion to you is...funk hasbro! maybe pick up a few of those little figures for fun. stuff like marmit, kotobukiya, fine molds(model kits), medicom, and code 3 can get a little pricey, but at least you won't get stuck with 20 variations of the same character ie luke with new pose! or some retarded char that shows up for 1 second in the films. in short, buy what you like and can afford, stay away from buying all SW figures, somewhere down the line, you'll regret it.
  6. I'm sure they're going to pull something stupid like call it the DYRL version and re-release the exact same thing if they're doing that. they need some sort of lame excuse if the production run of the 1S is finished already. that's some shady shiet HG and Toynami...I'll be a happy man the day both those companies go out of business.
  7. damn, that's what I get for putting off selling mine. oh well.
  8. i got one...here are some noteable differences. first and foremost, the head sculpt is 100x's better than the original one. looks a lot more like Seiya this time around. size seems smaller, eyes are more detailed, and hair looks more correct. the arms are pretty much the same excpet for the added joint on the wrist. works pretty well except mines a little loose so falls off easily. the body has a new kind of joint...in which it can rotate and not just bend forward. the leg to hip joint is different as it's more like the Marvel legends leg joints. better articulation, more stability...they need to make the rest of the figures in this manner.
  9. back when I was into gaming, I'd drop $120 for a super famicom game without blinking. now I look at $25 games and I don't think it's worth it. I usually get my games used now for $15-$25 and buy 2 get 1 free. for the HC gamers, $50 aint nothing...and I'm almost certain the price is going to just get higher in the coming years/new consoles.
  10. I understand if the production doesn't finish in one run...like release it in waves over a few months...but how many years has it been since the 1S came out?
  11. yamato is at C-8, but the link just leads to their website...
  12. I'd never put out $300 for it if it was resin...toys are toys, models are models...and I'm sure a lot of toy collectors don't build models(or are too lazy for it, like me ) save your money and pre-order a 1/48 vf-1a CF.
  13. granted it's the only mecha we've seen from macross blah blah blah...that thing is not worth the money to me... I got a max one and plan to eventually pick up a millia just because I'm a completist for yamato stuff...but other than that, I don't see what the hubbub is about. if they do make a green version...it better be hell of a lot cheaper than $90...like $40...
  14. mcbride, where do they talk about Nozawa? I'd like to read about it and maybe check it out. if they are good, I can take my dad and his clients there to check it out. if you come to LA and don't go to the beach...you're losing out...on these beautiful days as they've been lately...def worth checkin out, if not the beach then the beach bunnies. Just avoid venice...damn that place is a mess. anime king in HB is pretty cool, not too much macross stuff since I bought it all up, but they have quite a variety of things there and reasonably priced. there's a little place called Wasabi in Tustin which is all the rave with my friends. From what I hear, the guy only has seats enough for like 15 people, everybody pays the same thing, and he'll feed you the freshest fish he bought earlier that day. And this guy's hardcore, he'll give you the stink eye if you soak your shashimi in soy sauce.
  15. if you think so, I wouldn't mind taking a few off your hands.
  16. yah! get those FP's on the roll...we needs more!!
  17. very awesome kits you've built there. I too would like to see a write up of how the painting technique was done. very unique, almost like you're canvas painting or something.
  18. I want some of those awesome looking master replica's...but at $300 or so a pop...I don't find it worthy. I do have hasbro's darth maul lightsaber...and the hasbro's ep1 obi-wan lightsaber.
  19. yes pat, yes it is... gotta wait for a japanese company to come along and do that...come on Aoshima!! you can do it!!

  21. the seller removed it...
  22. damn, that LV is missing a piece(either means it's been played with a lot, taken apart, or came like that from the factory)...and it's still going for $325??
  23. I was just going to suggest you lower the poly count since there's seems to be a lot of folding. but very interesting project.
  24. damn, can you imagine if they had made the 1/48 for the US market?? pricing would have been like $90 a piece retail, sale prices probably like $75...man, I woulda bought a ship load...
  25. damn that be lookin nice...can't wait to get mine.
