Is that the 1/100 VF-25 parts-former? That thing is tiny! O_O What exactly is the scale of the Hi-Metal VF-19? Looks pretty good! Love the fact that it's PT, and not a parts-former!

Would You Buy An Unpainted Yamato 1/48 VF-1 In Kit Form?
OmegaD3k replied to Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0's topic in Toys
Agreed, 1/48 is no more. Let it rest. Most of the valks are now in 1/60 scale. How many valks are in 1/48, aside from the Yammie one? The Hase YF-19 model kit, plus another [was it the YF-21?] - that's about it, from what I can recall. For me, I rather have a consistent scale for my collection of valks. Only if there were more valks made in 1/48 scale, and the proportions were retooled to resemble [or be better than] the 1/60 V.2, then I might consider getting one of these kits. :3 So, nope! -
Thanks for the great news! Three cheers for Yamato, for doing something about those pins! Sounds like somebody in the factory is going to get some heat over this... Maybe now the toy forum won't be spammed with dozens of cracked shoulder topics - and we can browse all other Yamato related topics without constantly bumping into a QC related whine fest. =P Even though the new valk will probably be from Mac7 (BOMBA!!), I would much rather welcome a VF-2, or better yet, a VF-4. :] Either way, looking forward to any new valks on the horizon!

Amazing scans, nugundamII! OMG! That thing looks so awe-inspiring, that the price tag might actually be worth it! O_O The dark colors look amazingly realistic and add so much detail to the overall piece. Here's hoping for a mass produced, cheaper version...

All my HLJ orders arrived without any damage whatsoever, and I've been ordering from them since 2005/06, at least. There were a few rare cases in which the shipping boxes had a rip, dent, etc, but the contents were still in perfect shape. The only mishap I had with HLJ, was when I accidentally paid twice for an item. I contacted them, and in less than a day I got a full refund via PayPal. I wouldn't let this one incident be the ultimate reason to stop ordering from them. Only if it happens again would I reconsider.

Looks like Yamato improved the pilots! Awesome to see the little figure holding a flight stick and throttle control.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6
OmegaD3k replied to Duke Togo's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Absolutely brilliant. Sure there are weak areas, but overall the greatness of the figure outshines the bad. Decent landing gear, and a decent Gerwalk mode are huge improvements over the 25! Really looking forward to this one! Battroid mode is bad ass. -
Finally! An M&M set at a reasonable price. @_@
-
Highly unlikely since it would be as big, if not bigger than the recent SDF-1 figure. :\ Would cost an arm and a leg, too. But here's hoping against hope!

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.6

While the quarter looks great, the baby blue, over saturated colors scream "kiddie toy"! Maybe it's just the flash. Waiting for more pics... The VF-27 is absolutely brilliant! Looks like Bandai finally got the hang of making decent looking Macross toys!! Looks vastly superior than that sloppy thing known as the VF-25. -
EDIT: Nevermind, saw this: http://www.yamato-toys.com/ec/items/detail.php?gid=1523 P-A-S-S Old message: Forgive my utter display of ignorance, but is this yahoo hk page legit? Is this the official confirmation of said insane price? If it isn't, I'm waiting until it's official... If it is real - Pass.

Looks HUGE. O_O Been saving up for one ever since they first announced it - But now after seeing these pics I got 2 on the list. One in each mode! Bring this big beast on!
-
Ya have to play around with the stands a bit in order to hold some poses, so that the entire thing doesn't tip over. I got 6 Yamato stands and they served me well so far. Some poses are nearly impossible (like having the fighter mode tilted on the side), but overall it serves its purpose. I got my Mac+ valks on a slanted tilt, pointing downwards: Overall a 6/10

Forgive my ignorance, but has it been confirmed that the VF-19 has Perfect Transformation? Looks like it! (or in the very least very close to it) If it's true, then my interest in this line has just been revived. Hope the future valks are PT.

Beautiful! =O I love how Yamato took the time to design a new gunpod and update the fast packs. Other companies probably wouldn't even care. Any chances of an (un)official M&M variant VF-11 release?
-
That's probably absolutely true. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't MacII bomb in Japan? Also, was the VF-2SS even included in those recent Macross PSP video games? If not, then it may seem that interest in MacII may no longer be there. In all honesty I can see the VF-17/19 being the most likely candidate for the next 1/60. Yamato does have the Mac7 license afterall and is punching out the new VF-22 as we speak - so that automatically covers the VF-17, and VF-19 in the above poll. They also have the Mac Zero license. Macross 2012 Flashback might be somehow connected to DYRL, but Macross II? Does Yamato even have the license?
-
It does look fantastic! If Yamato can pull off a sleek Battroid mode as shown above, I'd gladly pick up more than just a squadron. Here are some fan-made color schemes (thread needs more VF-4!):

The resemblance is uncanny!

Mine just arrived! Another flawless release. Pilot Swap: [VF-1D Hikaru and Minmey inside VT-1] Pilot Swap: [VT-1 Hikaru and Minmey inside VF-1D] Cockpit Backside Comparison: [VF-1D and VT-1] (the VT-1 is not only higher, but also a bit wider) Cockpit Height Comparison: [VF-1D and VT-1] Cockpit Top Comparison: [VF-1D and VT-1] VT-1 Side View:

MY WALLET. @_@ Absolutely beautiful. I'm sure we all saw this coming a mile away, when Yamato first released Gamlin's VF-22. :] Seeing how Yamato has the Mac7 license now, plus the newly posted 1/60 wishlist... Could this mean more Mac7 valks are around the corner? Cannon fodder VF-11, VF-17, enemy VF-14 + entire Fire Bomber crew, anyone?

No contest: VF-4

Agreed. While it's good Bandai improved the neck of the VF-25S, and actually managed so that the armor remains on the figure, rather than falling off with the slightest jolt, the rest of the issues is what killed it for me. :\ For it's price, the plastic quality of the Armor looks extremely poor and rather cheap, in nearly all the photos I have seen. The colors are rather simple [no where near as good as it looked in the artworks, show and model kits], and there are no features or detailing on the Armor packs. It's just looks like solid chunks of poorly made, plain plastic - no where near the quality of Yammie's high end valks. Bandai should have instead stuck to what they do best: Model Kits Now if Bandai were to make all the MF valks into 1/60 model kits, that would be the greatest thing ever, but we know that'll never happen. :\ So here's hoping Yamato picks up the MF license one day!
-
Everything but the pilot names! And the VF-1D, too! =O WOOHOO!! So sold on these! I hope for the sake of all that is good, that they update cannon and rename the "Virgin Road" to "Virgin Load". It would make the valk so much more epic.

Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.5
OmegaD3k replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I'm holding off until a detailed video/pic review. To anyone who has one: - How well do the armor pieces hold together? Do they fall off, simply by looking at them, like Luca/Michel Fast/Super packs? - Is the figure a sloppy, or can you pose it with armor? Does it require a stand for any and all poses, like Michel? - Are the head lasers straight/made out of solid plastic? - Any other improvements? -
VF-3000, VF-4, VF-5000, VF-25, VF-27, VF-171 :3 And of course a 1/60 Regult and Glaug
