Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Plastic Models
OmegaD3k replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Absolutely perfect and beautiful. *orders two more* Love that there are colored pieces as well, in the kit, and not have everything just plain white. -
Video Games that SHOULD be turned into movies......
OmegaD3k replied to taksraven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
- MONKEY ISLAND - Loom - BioShock - Quake - DOOM (NO! They did not make a movie about it already. *waves hand ala Jedi*) - Unreal - Lost Planet - Metroid - DARIUS (oh yes... GIANT ENEMY CRAB fish machines being hunted and shot down by silverhawks) and finally... - MegaMan - It can be just like the IRONMAN movie, where you see megaman do nothing more than try on new colorful suits and weapons for more than 45 minutes of the film! Bandai/Tamashi Nations 1/100 lineup. 2009 takeoff!
OmegaD3k replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
O_O I had completely forgotten about Yamato's 1/100 VF-0! XD Aye, that thing is one ugly duckling. Looks like they used the oversized 1/72 VF-19 hips for battroid mode. XD Looking forward on hearing more about Bandai's 1/100 line... I say again: 2009 can't come any sooner! -
New arms design/rethink for VF-0S new release - Overdrive rep talks to
OmegaD3k replied to ruskiiVFaussie's topic in Toys
Fantastic news! Although I've had my VF-0's since the first initial release and never had any problems with the arms (up until now..), this might motivate me to get a couple more "Phoenix's" (if that is the 0's official "name" or "callsign"). -
Personally I'm tired of if the VF-1. If I see it once more my head will explode. XD My picks: 1. VF-4 2. VF-2 3. VF-0

EDIT: Gah!! Nevermind. XD This is old news... Teaches me for missing out a few pages of this thread. Oh well, at least we can see this as a little bump: EARLY BIRD! - 1/60 VF-1J Hikaru Ichijo with Super Parts http://www.hlj.com/product/YMT00090

Hi guys, need some help here.. Sorry if this has been asked before, but: The PC I use for work is well over 5 years old and I've decided to go get a new one - built from scratch. The big question is: What is the most current up-to-date parts for PC's these days? Are there any good websites one can follow, to learn about all the parts and pieces in more detail? The PC I on planning on building will be used for everything: Graphics, Photoshop, Flash, Animations, Movies, and also some gaming. Also... How do laptops compare to PCs these days? Are they at an equal level, or are PCs generally more advanced? Any help would be most welcome! Thanks in advance! -

QUOTED FOR TRUTH! Oh thank GOD. This is the best news I've heard all day - no, the past week! NO! THE PAST MONTH! @_@ 2009 can't come any sooner... -

Red feet! XD! Bandai.. This is Macross, NOT Gundam. Also, look at the crotch section... Looks similar to the Bandai VF-2SS, where the hip ball joints are part of a little "attachment" which clips on the crotch section. -
That Hase 1D looks impossible to transform into Battroid mode, due to the extremely long fuselage. It would require a ridiculously long swing bar for the legs to slide over. Even WITH the fuselage being pulled inwards into the chest piece, there will still be a lot of fuselage left exposed, and the proportions would look flat out silly. A quick illustration (with fuselage pushed inwards): If anyone ever made a 1D Hase battroid out of the 1D, I wanna see it! XD

I believe those pics are that of the 1/72 model.

HELL YES! When can we preorder? =O

Needs more options like the VF1 Elintseeker (would have been my choice... gotta love the dish!), the Ostrich, VF-0 GBP, YF-22 FP, VF-11 FP, Sound Booster, etc, etc, etc.

Preordered. @_@ The model kit looks much better than the 1/60 toy line, which is why I canceled those and went for this instead. -
Just picked up mine. PERFECT! Nothing is broken, everything is well made, tight and without loose pieces, joints or whatnot. However there are a few things I've noticed: - The shoulder joints are tight. A bit too much for my liking, I fear I might break something. - The shoulder armor pieces can be pulled upwards, to allow better shoulder movement, which I didn't know, and couldn't find in the manual. (unless it was written somewhere in Japanese, which I cannot read) - The leg swing bars are a nice little challenge now to get them locked into the nosecone in Battroid mode. Adds a bit of fun to the transformation process. Overall, this one looks FANTASTIC. Best rendition of the VF-1 I've seen yet. Gerwalk mode is greatly improved and looks bad ass. Great amount of detail, the pilot looks even better than the 1/48 (despite the size) and the proportions are perfect. 10 out of 10. Everything is tight, clicks into place, with no wobbling joints at all. I'm replacing my entire 1/48 line with the new 1/60. Thank you Yamato!

I never knew the FP designs were different in the DYRL and TV versions. O_o The front of the TV FP arm piece are slanted at an angle like this: / The front of the DYRL FP arm piece are more horizontal and straight with small diagonal edges. What other differences are there?

Macross Frontier Episode 18 Talkback Thread *READ 1st Post*
OmegaD3k replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
Dr Mao Nome! O_O I doubt they would mention her just for sh!ts and giggles. So I guess this is a huge confirmation that Sheryl must be a relative somehow? Same name as the Nome sisters... looks a bit like Sarah (in earlier episodes, at least)... Again, awesome Ep. Really felt sad for Sheryl, who is now left in the shadows of Ranka Lee, only to be ignored by the rest of the world, left alone in eternal solitude. :C -
Smack me in the head if this has been asked before, but: Any word on a possible Volume 2 of the M.Froniter OST Score? Not the duet album. Really hope they release all those missing themes from Vol 1 and the intro cue to episodes 3-5 some day.

Hmm... Mis-aligned proportions aside, is the paint job finished? Looks almost pure white. Overall... It's ok. The feet are gigantic, though. (This isn't Gundam, Bandai...) Good to see those "judo-chop" hands are gone and replaced with something a bit more normal. Looking forward to the finished versions.

Old picture is old. Was posted recently, one or two pages back. EDIT: Correction, four pages back: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?show...st&p=628797

Ditto! Will they present the final release versions, or the still somewhat-prototype-ish-before-release versions?

I must say this episode has some FANTASTIC music, especially around the 21:00 mark. This show is unlike I've seen before. Filled with heart, soul and the epic visuals to boot. Also have a new-found respect for the VF-27. That thing just kicks ass. XD
